Big Change
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer in December
to replace a front load machine
I’m so glad I don’t have to wipe
a gasket on front door after washes,
I don’t have to get on my hands & knees
to drain the machine or clean a filter once
a month, I like the Turbo wash features &
steam clean feature, the machine has a
quite a few wash options. Really like the
black stainless.

Repair already
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer about 3 years. I do like the way it cleans clothes and the different cycle options but from day one I have hated how I have to almost climb in the thing to get the clothes out as it is so deep. I am 5’4” and can barely reach in to retrieve everything. If there is a coin or something in there after the cycle, I get my hubby to retrieve it. We have had this about 4 years and the shaft for the thing that move the agitator wannabe has snapped off. Now I am waiting for a repair quote which will help me decide if I want to junk it and get one I like, or repair it and suffer until the next repair

Solid performer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using our new washer for about a month and we have enjoyed it's performance and features. Clothes are coming out cleaner than our previous washer and we feel like the steam cycle is actually keeping our pet related stains more sanitary. It's a bit quieter than other washers we've owned also.

Love every thing about it. So far ...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am totally enjoying my washer. It took time to get used to no agitator, but I have a glass top and I can see that the clothes are washing great. Just have to get used to the digital cycles. The booklet is very helpful. I had to get a small 3 inch step stool. The washer is deep and I'm only 5' tall. Other than that ... I LOVE MY LG ...

Great Price for High end Washer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I like the features. It can fit a king size bedspread with no issues and cleans well. The only thing I would chafe is the lock feature. Sometimes you want to pre rinse using your hands but the water shuts off if the lid is unlocked.

Great capacity.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought them about a month ago and so far they seem to be working fine. The main complaint is the finish scratches way too easily and if you leave the door open on the dryer it stays on. It would be nice if it shut off after a few minutes.

Too low water levels
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lg washer a month ago.. I love all the different cycles..I however do not like the issue with the water levels. On any cycle the clothes are not covered in water.. I have to use the extra water button every time, sometimes twice, which is time consuming..

We are sorry to see you are not happy with the amount of water used in a cycle. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer with Steam and Turbo Wash in Black Stainless, Model # WT7600HKA measures (weighs) the size of the load after you have selected your desired cycle and added your modifiers and options and pressing the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle. The washer will determine the water level that will give you the most efficient and optimal wash performance. If you need to add more water to your wash load, you can use the Water Plus option. However, if the washer has already reached its' maximum water level, pressing the Water Plus button will not have any effect.

I was so excited to purchase this washer from Home Depot in August. Rated best by Consumer Report...
I was so excited to purchase this washer from Home Depot in August. Rated best by Consumer Reports, recommended by a friend and SO many great reviews online. 2 months later I hate this machine. It's great if all you want are cold water washes. I've always used hot for whites w/bleach and for towels. I use warm for sheets and for socks/undies, as well as, other things as needed. With this machine, I find when hot or warm temp is selected the actual temp of the water in the tub when it starts the wash cycle was cool. I called my plumber thinking there was a problem with the house water. No problem found with the house plumbing or my water heater. Have determined the machine is the problem, not the house plumbing. If the cycle temp is set to Hot the machine will initially start filling w/hot water, but at some point while filling it starts also adding cold water--so much so that the cold overpowers the hot and the water my clothes are washed in is--AT BEST--tepid. Why allow the human to select a temp for the wash cycle if the machine is going to override that decision and also add cold water thereby reducing the temp of the water in the tub? If I turn the cold water off at the wall spigot where the water line connects to the house plumbing, the machine will fill with hot water to a point, but then as it continues to "adjust" for the load and decide if it needs more water, the tub just spins very very slowly waiting for enough cold water to satisfy it. It never starts actually agitating/washing even though the "Time Left" continues to count down. If, after turning the cold off at the wall, I slightly turn the cold water spigot back on, cold water starts going in the tub which totally defeats the purpose of a hot or warm temp. Ridiculous. But by doing that at least the machine will fill and run the wash cycle albeit in cool, not hot water. I would expect SOME cold water added when the temp selection is warm, but nothing like what I'm experiencing. When it's set to hot and adds so much cold I end up with tepid water, Guess What? The water's even cooler when I have the temp set to warm. I called LG "Customer service" which was a total waste of time. She was more concerned with using my name at the end of each sentence than she was about fixing my problem. She kept telling me my water heater needed to be set to 120 degrees. I told her my plumber had confirmed my house plumbing, as well as, the water heater wasn't the problem and that the water heater was set hotter than 120. I explained about watching the machine also adding cold water to the tub during a hot wash and she kept talking about my water heater. Maddening. To add insult to injury today while using the machine, the lid lock broke so now i have a tub full of water and bath towels just sitting there because I'm getting a DL error code (Lid Lock Switch error) which means w/o the lid being locked the washer won't run the cycle. The "lock" is a thin, cheap piece of plastic that looks like it just sheared right off. Great! Would have expected better quality on a $1200 washing machine. I wish I'd never purchased this machine. I thought about taking it back, but Home Depot only has a 48 hour return window on large appliances. No one ever mentioned that when I was purchasing the washer and its matching dryer. And I didn't think to ask about a return policy because, really, never thought I'd have to consider returning them. I'm at the point I'm considering donating this washer somewhere and starting over. Hate to take that hit monetarily but can't wash clothes in only cold water for the next 10-15 years either.

ONE YEAR LATER...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the washer for the first year. I like the oversized stainless steel basket and sanitary/allergiene wash settings. Unfortunately, less than a year after I purchased it, I started receiving an error. I googled the error and found it was a child lock. Perfect. Problem solved. Although I'd literally never used the child lock, at least I knew how to resolve the error.
Then, EXACTLY a year after purchase, the child lock turned itself on and could not be reversed. Contacted LG and they agreed to cover parts only. So, $155 and THREE WEEKS LATER (repair places say they are too busy...then come to the house empty handed on first visit to "diagnose"...waste of time) I had the whole sensor board replaced. Ok.
Fast forward 2 months. Now the machine will not even turn on. Customer service states covering parts last time was a "one time courtesy", they will escalate the issue but do not think anything can be done. So now I have myself a $1000+ disposable washing machine and a FAMILY OF 5 with dirty laundry.
