[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this LG washer a few weeks ago and I don't like it. It collected dusts very easily. It also got scratches very easily. It is hard to maintain with this black/grey color. After a few washes, there are many big water stain spots inside the washer.

Extremely quiet and does an amazing job at cleaning the clothes. I was very impressed with how little water is used compared to my old machine. This one actually senses the amount of clothes in the load and adds the appropriate amount of water needed. I also liked the steam selection for added sanitization. The quiet motion on the lid is a nice touch as well. No more of the slamming shut when closing the lid and the door locks once the cycle begins. A nice feature for anyone with small children. I am quite satisfied with my purchase especially getting the Black Friday savings.

Wow. What an elegant washing machine! The black stainless with the chrome edge gives it that nice modern look. Compared to my old analog washer with the twist dials, this thing is a spaceship! All the technology behind it is amazing. You can even connect your phone to it! This washer is HUGE!! 5.2cu feet is so much space and can easily accommodate large bulky items such as bedding. I love how this washer machine lacks a central agitator. This means no more accidental tears! With 14 preset wash cycles, there is plenty to choose from for all of your particular needs. In fact, while using the mobile app, you can download additional custom cycles. The steam feature is unique and new to me. Not only does it help clean clothes using the sanitary cycle, but it is also used when doing the "clean tub" cycle. The Turbo Wash technology is awesome and really helps this appliance become more energy efficient. Every time you run it, it senses the weight/size and determines how much water will be needed and adjusts the overall cycle time as needed. Also, it is very quiet! Our laundry "room/closet" is located in our master bathroom. You can hardly notice the machine while running, so we even use it at night. The one thing I don't like is that after a cycle has completed, the "cycle finished" LEDs don't stay for very long (maybe an hour). I wish there was just one small green LED that would stay lit until the lid had been opened. That way a load isn't accidentally left in there for too long. With all that being said, I absolutely LOVE this washer and would HIGHLY recommend it!

A most EXCELLENT washer! While washing my first load of laundry, I pulled up a stool, sat, and watched the thing wash ..... it has a water sensor so it knows how much water is needed and how long to wash ..... the inside drum has NO agitator, but wings on the tub bottom, so clothes won't get trapped or damaged .... there is also a Child Safety Lock on the lid. Overall, I am very impressed with this washer! The delivery men were kind and very helpful .... showing me where to load the detergent .... they unpacked the machine, placed it where I wanted it, hooked it up, and ran a short simulation cycle to make sure it was working properly .... they were also willing to haul off my other machine if needed.

This is a really sharp looking washer with a lot of features. It has a nice electronic control panel and it plays a nice tune at the end. It also has a child lock which might be good to use if you have young children. Because this washing machine is large at 5.2 cubic feet and it automatically figures out how much water to use I can throw in just a pair of socks or a sleeping bag. My last washer didn’t have this range. Also it doesn’t have an agitator in the middle of the drum so that gives you more room. It worries me a little that it uses way less water than I’m used to, but it seems to get stuff clean. There is a “Water Plus” option which you can use to add more water. I may end up using this option sometimes. Even though it has a lot of functions it is fairly easy to use and the manual is well written. Comparing the dimensions to the ones posted on the website I measured it as only 27” (686 mm) deep instead of 28.375. You will need about an extra 4” (101 mm) for the hoses connected at the back. The hoses come straight out and you won’t want to bend them too sharply. I like the “Allergiene” setting for sheets. I normally use a hot wash for my sheets in order to kill off dust mites them I’m allergic to. Now I can just set it to this setting. The only problem I had with it was with the outlet hose. In the manual it shows various setups depending on whether you are emptying into a drain pipe or a laundry sink. Because I have a laundry sink I bent the pipe over that and put a tie around the leg of the laundry sink. There is a picture in the manual that shows that exact set up. As soon as the washer started emptying the weight of the water in the long 5 foot (1.524 meters) hose pulled the hose down to the floor. Luckily I was next to the washer so I grabbed it quickly. On my old washer the outlet pipe is stiff with a permanent bend in it so it stays hooked on the laundry sink. Also the tie on the leg doesn’t hold it because the leg is angled. Luckily I came up with a pretty easy fix. I drilled a couple of holes through the plastic laundry sink and clamped the outlet pipe to it, see the photo. You will have to attach the hose like this if you have a laundry sink or if you have a drain pipe you can just tie the outlet pipe to the drain. I don’t like the fact that the detergent drawer ends up full of water after you use the washer but there are instructions in the manual on how to get the drawer out so you can empty out the water. You can also use the washer with a smart phone using its NFC (Near Field Communication) in order to either diagnose a problem or download cycles to the dryer. I haven’t tried this feature and probably won’t unless I have a real reason to.

This washer is beautiful! I kind of hate to have it hidden in my Laundry Room. I has a glass and chrome lid that really adds to the beauty. The only thing about the chrome is that it does show fingerprints, however, they are really easy to remove. One of the most import notes for success is that this machine is designed to use ONLY He (High efficiency) type detergent. The slide out tray can adjust for liquid or powder (read the directions) as well as fabric softener. There is an additional dispenser on the front corner for bleach. It is the quietest washer I’ve ever had. It has the LG TrueBalance that assures a quiet wash even with the largest load. When it senses that it is getting out of balance, it adds water to balance the load again. The washer is larger than any washer I’ve ever had. When looking in the tub, it almost looks like I could get in there easily (no, I’m not going to try this). Not having that center agitator really makes a huge difference in how much you can get in it. It handles really huge loads with ease. I was able to wash 10 beach towels at once with space left over. After company (6 adults and 7 children) left, I was able to do all the laundry in 2 loads – a towel load and a sheet load. I cannot believe how fast I was done. I had 2 king size sheet sets, 2 twin sets and one full size set and plenty of room left. With my old washer, I’d be washing for what seemed like forever. What makes it so powerful is LG’s WaveForce technology that utilizes rapid drum movement and powerful water jets to provide thorough washing action that, while powerful, it’s gentle on clothes. This awesome machine has 14 wash cycle; Pre Wash+ Normal, Cotton/Normal, Tub Clean, Bulky/Bedding, Heavy Duty, Perm. Press, Speed Wash, Delicates, Bright Whites, Towels, Sanitary, Allergiene, Waterproof and a cycle called downloaded. You can download new cycles from LG using the Tag On feature. I need to study up on using TagOn because it seems that it can do lots of things I’ve never imagined. I’ve also never had a machine that had a cycle to clean itself. Haven’t had it long enough to try that yet but I wish my older front load washer (used in my dad’s apartment) had this. There are also 14 options that go with the cycles; Soak, Extra Rinse, Fabric Softener, Delay Wash, Child Lock, Custom Program PGM Save, Signal, Rinse+Spin, Spin Only, ColdWash, StainCare, Water Plus, Add Garment. Yes, there is an Add Garment option, if you forget something, you can open the machine when the “Add Garment” light comes on and throw in more items. The TurboWash can save up to 20 minutes on a cycle but cannot be used with all cycles and/or options. In fact all options don’t work with all cycles. It has 4 wash temperatures; Extra Hot, Hot, Warm, Cold, Tap Cold that you can change on some cycles. I have experimented to see when I can change the temperatures. ALL rinse cycles are cold. There are 4 spin speeds which make sure you can get the right one for your fabric. They are; Extra High, High, Medium, Low, No Spin There are 3 soil levels – Light , normal and heavy. There is a chart in the manual that shows all the options, temperatures soil level and spin speeds with each cycle. The water level is determined by the machine – which is amazing to me how it knows. You can use the Water Plus option for larger loads or items to get even better cleaning. According to the information I read, “ The SenseClean system automatically sets the water level and washes time for each load providing optimal washing care and conservation” I can’t imagine how it knows what it knows but so far my laundry has been awesome. With all these combinations, I can’t imagine that there is anything that can’t be washed. (But just in case, there is the steam cycles on the matching dryer for pillows etc that shouldn’t be washed) You can set up to a 19 hour delay which I’m not sure I’ll use because I’m always doing laundry at the last minute.

This is literally ‘loaded’ with technology. This unit is a big step up from our previous washer which was 5 years old. Let’s start with the outcome of the clothes. This meets/exceeds my expectations. Clothing comes out very clean and significantly less wet than our previous washer. This equates to quicker drying time. We have a large, active family, so this washer is getting tested very well and the clothing again is coming out in great condition and clean. I was curious about the cleanliness since these washers use so little water. This is not a problem. They are calibrated to use the right amount of water based on the size of the load. The appearance is very nice. It looks wonderful in our laundry room and the lights are pleasing to the eyes. I fully recommend reading the instructions (I rarely read the instructions, do it on this!). This machines does quite a bit. If you don’t take some time to understand this beast you will miss out on some good stuff. Some features that are really nice on this: The size is immense. Not the outside dimensions, those are normal and fit like any other washer. The inside is what’s immense. We can wash quite a bit more clothing in one load. Because the inside is so deep a short person might struggle reaching the bottom to remove clothing. My wife could reach the bottom but it was a stretch for her. A stool might be needed for some smaller folks. A small inconvenience when considering that you will do fewer loads due to size. We already washed a large comforter with no issues. It’s quiet. You can run clothes at night with little concern about waking anyone up. Additional notes my wife wanted to add: Loved that I could wash the sheets and the blanket together. Like that the comforter fits. Love that it has such a large basket that I can fit more clothes in. My old schedule was at least one load every night, usually two. Now I can skip a day w/o feeling like I’m falling behind. Like all the options. Many more than I’ve had before. So many settings: Bedding, delicates, etc. I love the bleach dispenser. It sends water thru twice to make sure it’s all out. That’s great because I’ve had bleach mistakes in the past because it didn’t get rinsed well enough. I like that during the during the wash cycle it senses the clothes and makes them even in the basket. Better clean that way. I like that it shows you the time that the wash cycle will take. Convenient to know if you are in a hurry or are busy doing something else. Overall, a nice unit. I completely recommend.

This is a extremely good washer. I have used many washers and this has to be one of the best washers I have used except for the detergent dispenser! It has lots of features. The first impressive feature is the huge dryer capacity of 5.2 cu ft! You can easily wash a king size comforter. What is really impressive is the compact size. It is only as wide and deep as my previous smaller washer. It is a little higher in size which allows it to fit perfectly in our laundry room. Next impressive feature is the steam feature which removes dirt, odors and wrinkles. The black stainless looks great but shows every piece of dirt and every fingerprint. As for the features how are 14 wash cycles? For most washing I simply choose the normal setting, cold water and fabric softener. Very, very easy to use. You can set the dial to the clothes you are washing and the washer senses the load and adjusts water and washing time. Example is I put in a load of clothes, set the dial to the normal setting, set to tap cold, set fabric softener, the time showed 1 hour 22 minutes of washing time. After the washer sensed the load the wash time was automatically adjusted down to 55 minutes. It wasn't a huge load and only filled about 1/3 of the washer. One thing I really, really like is we have two long hair dogs, golden retriever and german shepherd, which means we have a lot of dog hair on everything. First time I washed and dried the dogs bed sheets I was shocked because the sheets came out without any dog fur on them! Yes, we have the washer and matching dryer! The door closes easily with a no slam feature that allows for a smooth closing. Negative is the detergent dispenser is difficult to fill. I used the top of the HE detergent bottle and found it difficult to pour in all of the detergent from the cap. You MUST read the instructions and use the detergent sparingly! With HE washers less detergent is better! Also if using a fabric softener be sure to select the fabric softener option! For the poorly designed detergent and fabric softener dispenser I gave this a four star vs five star rating. I read the reviews, of the similar models and think the people giving them low scores did NOT read the instructions, used too much detergent, had hard water or did not use the proper settings! There was a vibration noise during the installer initiated first wash and spin cycle but after I leveled the washer properly the noise is gone? I highly recommend everyone double check the installers work. Warranty of 1 year Parts and Labor, 10 year Direct Drive motor, Limited Lifetime on Stainless Steel Drum!

This washer has great space for clothes as it does not have a center spindle but rather is completely open (see photo). The control panel has every option my wife and I could ever want including settings for bedding, towels, whites, delay wash, hot and cold water options. Besides all that, the unit provides custom programs to be created and run. To avoid hitting the open lid on the 12 inch deep cabinet above the washer required the washer to be out from the wall about 7 inches (see photo).

This washer looks great and can get clothes clean. The finish is called Black Stainless and in some lights it does have a semi transparent black tint. It is darker than standard stainless finishes, but the color is different depending upon lighting and surroundings. For instance, in the photo I have included, the finish varies from gray to a brownish tint. I have washed 6 loads of laundry so far. They varied in load size and from towels to permanent press. This washer is an HE type that does not have the old style agitator in the tub. It instead has a swish plate in the bottom of the tub. Its important to read the manual for best washing results. The photo shows an example from the instructions. This washer has a lot of wash options to select from. The photo shows the control panel. The amount of options can be a little daunting, but correct selection can result in the cleanest clothes. Most of the complaints about operation of this type of washer result from improperly loading it and the wrong amount of detergent. Detergent that is HE rated, and fabric softner are poured into the tray shown in the photo. I did not have any problems during spin cycle with imbalance. My clothes came out clean. The washer has a glass lid which allows you to watch what is going on. See the video to watch a shortened version of the wash and rinse cycles. The clothes were subjected to multiple types of agitation during the wash and rinse cycles including spinning the water and detergent through the clothes.

I have the matching dryer and so this review is almost identical. This washing machine has so many options that I think the only thing it won't do is make me a sandwich. The user manual is the size of a small paperback. You would think a washing machine is pretty straightforward but spend a few minutes reading about the various options if you want to get the most out of this machine. First off, the matching set looks beautiful. It's called black stainless but it's more of a charcoal color, and it's fingerprint resistant. When opening the lid, the first thing you'll notice is the size of the washing drum. It's huge. You could fit a small adult in there. I cant imagine ever overloading this thing. The top has a soft close lid. Necessary? No. Nice to have? Definitely. When running the machine is whisper quiet, I left the laundry room door open and I could barely hear it over the television. And the machine has a mind of its own. It detected an out of balance load when it was doing one of it's rinse cycles. It stopped spinning, and strategically added water to certain areas of the drum in order to adjust the balance. Day to day I'll likely just keep it on normal setting, but it's nice having the other washing options available. And you can also create custom wash cycles, extend the time, adjust the temp or spinning speed. You can even set the machine to run several hours in the future if you want. You name it, it can probably do it. Just spend a little time reading the book first.

Wow this is the best washer I have ever witnessed. I pulled out some old things that were un-cleanable and this powered the old stains out of them. I tried the delay overnight and it worked perfectly. What a smart fantastic washer. The capacity is awesome. I cleaned a comforter that I used to take to the cleaners with no problem. The steam powered stains they couldn't get out away. The controls are bright and easy to read. Plus they are in perfect location so you don't hit the wrong setting when loading. Super quiet. I wasn't sure it was working but you can see through the tinted lid and it was spinning super fast. I really recommend this. With such a high quality efficient cost saving washer I don't think I will ever need another one. I searched the house for things to wash just to enjoy this washer. I also have the matching dryer and as a pair they are the best household appliances I have ever owned. Thank you LG and Home Depot.

The washing machine is large and works great but it is louder than I’d like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my LG washing machine for five years and it has always been reliable. I love the technology that makes it so east to operate. Last month a plumbing accident caused my control panel to malfunction when it was drenched in water. Scheduling the repair was quick and easy. The technician, Jeff, was right on time and fixed the problem with my machine. LG makes excellent products and backs them with great service when needed. I will continue to buy LG when I need other appliances.

We bought it couple of years ago, and still today we are really glad that we decided on LG. Fourteen cycles, including steam: you couldn’t hope for a more comprehensive selection. The tub is huge, it runs smoothly and quietly, and the pre-programmed heat, spin, and temperature combinations are ideal (although they can be modified if you have a special preference). It senses the weight of the load and dispenses water accordingly. HE truly means a savings in the amount of detergent used per load. If we had to replace it, we would buy the same model.

I bought this 6 years ago and I am very pleased with the performance. The machine does a great job cleaning my towels, clothes ,etc. I have learned how to use it to better fit my needs by utilizing the different wash settings correctly. The machine can be a bit rough on my nice clothes. I believe it twists the shirts too much on the normal cycle but I now utilize the delicate cycle for my nice shirts and the are cleaned just as well and not twisted as much.

I’ve had for 3 years! I can trust that every load is going to do what it’s supposed to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought in April of 2019 and still works as it was brand new. I had an issue with the front loading door that was corrected. The tech said this model of dryer and washer should last me at least another 10 years. One note when not using the washer keep the lid open to dry out and prevent rusting.

It would be great if you add QR code on the product (highly visible area) to lead to online manual so that I can find the instructions whenever I need.

Five year old deluxe washer should not need a new motor and LG refuses to offer a replacement or discount.

After 3 years the washer started to give me issues not only did it start leaking but also stop agitating

Very unreliable washer. Broken couple of times already. Drum and motor breaks quite frequently. I regret my decision to buy this.
