These always solder/sweat in easily and never leak. It's been a good product.

I bought this fitting to make servicing my water pressure reducer simpler. Terrible sealing surface! As soon as i soldered and assembled it, drip drip drip. It leaked at the sealing surface, not at the solder joints. Its designed to seal on machined copper surfaces, no rubber seal. Then the drip turned to a spray. I had to remove that pipe section ,which i only installed for easy dissassembly, and just put in a straight piece of 3/4 copper pipe. Ill never use this type of union fitting again.

Worked as designed. No leaks.

TAKE YOUR TIME SOLDER IT RIGHT, USE BOTH PIPE YELLOW TAPE TWO WRAP AND PIPE T- PLUS 2 SEALENT THAT WORKS FOR ME EVERY TIME

Needed this to replace one that was over 20 yrs old on a hot water heater

The seating parts of the threaded area were rough and not seating properly. I had to sand them smooth to stop them from leaking.

I was never able to get it to stop leaking after I installation. I can say with confidence, that if you ever get it seated and not leaking, the slightest knock would make it leak. Or even a modest temperature change would unseat the seal. I need a union and now I don't know what to do. But, for sure, this device turned out to be a dead end.
