Had to heat it to get it to seat right.

Installed it in main water shut valve at home. The city water shut off valve was not properly closing. This was causing some problems whenever water faucets maintenance was required. The problem is now solved forever.

Other than being awful pricey, it worked well

It was such poor quality, it failed in less than a week

I actually needed two, so I bought two. These are adequate but they not as heavy duty as the bronze ones are. One must be careful not to ding the seal surfaces and of course when tightening you must counter the torque you apply with a wrench on the stationery side.

Great Product and quality manufactured

Couldn’t get Nibco union to seal, so replaced with Everbilt. The Everbilt has a deeper cup at the mating surface and sealed without any issues.

I bought at local hardware store for $13,00 your were almost twice as much so I retuned it

Easily installed but quite sensitive to alignment. Much overtighten and still leaked drop a minute. Stopped leaking after a couple days but still. I was about ready to replace it.

Just what I needed, when I needed it. Easy on and now no more cutting if I need to remove something from the setup.

Had to cut the pipe to replace a ball valve by using this union I was able to replace the valve and make my connection to the pipe. If I ever have to replace the valve in the future I can do that without cutting the pipe again

Good material and in stock

I read the negative reviews and figured, pfft, I'm really good at sweating copper pipes. This will be a piece of cake. Nope. Stop. Run the other way. Don't look back. This fitting is terrible! The chance for error is super high, and it's completely unforgiving if you get a bum piece, drip a bit of solder into the thread, cross the threads, assemble off-axis, or look at it sideways. What you want is a compression-compression fitting. It will be removable for service without ruining the afternoon.

Union is exactly as described, worked well to solder and join to copper lines

It did exactly what it was supposed to do. Without any leaks.

As long as you can sweat a pipe you should be fine
