I went into this Home Depot to get a spare house key cut. The key cutting station was easily visible on an end cap of an aisle in the front of the store by the cash registers. A store associate was quick to greet me and cut the key for me. Check out was quick and easy and the cashier was very personable. Overall it was a very quick and convenient visit.

The store was clean enough for me.The associates were very friendly and helpful and always helping me to get the best bang for my buck.I really like the staff at the customer service desk .They are always willing to help me with my husband's war veterans discount.

The associate at the self check out Joan was very helpful and polite. She questioned my ID for the military (Veterans) discount and called the manager for an answer. The manager didn't seem to want to accept the ID from Saratoga County but Joan gave it to me . She was very polite and courteous.

Overall this is your typical hardware store with good and bad qualities, lets face it not every store can be perfect and I've worked at hardware stores as well... This particular store is perfect for DIY projects and a majority of contract projects if you can afford the little extra. It generally has all your needs not always for big contractors and if you are looking for something or have a question be sure to ask someone from that particular area and possibly go on the internet to double check. (Its always good to have more than one opinion anyhow). The staff is generally quite nice and try to help; be cautious and know what you are looking for ahead of time though.

I so enjoy shopping at the Home Depot in Amsterdam, NY. No matter when I have shopped at this store, there are always employees available to help you, without having to search. The employees have always been pleasant, knowledgeable, patient, and willing help. One could say old fashioned in the sense of how people are. The store also has such a nice variety of stock in all departments. I was going to buy a washing machine today, but was unsure of what I wanted. I was able to get immediate assistance who, after some questioning, directed me to several machines that would suit my needs, and then, helped me narrow it down to the perfect washer for me. How nice!

The people are so helpful at Home Depot in Amsterdam. The store is always clean and organized. Our favorite place to shop for products we need to improve our home. The cashier that helped us save money was wonderful. I believe her name was Sheila.

Great store with helpful staff...........but Home Depot, Ridgid and Ryobi are ripping us all off on the prices for the batteries. They all know the scam they have going. I'll be buying cordless tools from other brands as long as this price gauging is going on. Some of us would rather take our woman to dinner than pay $120 for a battery. I'm not the only one who's catching on to the scam.

There are plenty of stores with basically the same items from which to choose. So the difference comes down to the personal interactions between customers and store associates. I have had to interact with home depot associates for multiple reasons on multiple occasions. Whether it is looking for something, advice, complaints, or just casual conversation the people at Amsterdam, NY home depot have become like family. No doubt home improvement can be stressful, but they are always helpful, encouraging, and a downright blessing in time of need. Especially on this particular occasion. All week long Murphy's Law was in full effect, and when "Felix" approached me and asked "do you need help with anything?" All the obstacles of the week and the current water heater issues I was having, came crashing down. He not only noticed the stress I was under, but empathized completely. He said you look like you need a hug. And I swear, I did. Teary eyed and shaken, I hugged him and immediately the stress I was under began to diminish. It was simply knowing that I'm not doing this all alone, because there are a store full of employees at home depot who go above and beyond daily for their customers. Home Depot is fortunate to have fostered a workforce that cares about their work and those they serve. That is something I have not witnessed at any other store, and certainly not on any website.

RJ was excellant. Beyond that, it was horrible. I called "corporate" hoping for a reason to want to return to the store (give them a chance to "make it right") but this too did not satisfy. I wish I could go into more detail but I've already wasted too much time having to follow up on this issue because too many have dropped the ball along the way!

I recently went to your store to purchase a air conditioner. All sold out. I went to the customer service desk and one of your employees named Maura assisted me.She was AWESOME.She got on the computer and and helped me order the A.C that i wanted.She was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and VERY POLITE.Home Depot is very lucky to have Maura working for you, ESPECIALLY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.I just hope that your company RECOGNIZES an employee like Maura K. who goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to assist the customers needs.
