Not that great
After finding the center of a stud and marking it, there is a larger than ideal degree of variance when going back over the same stud to reconfirm. Pretty disappointed.

Too difficult to use. By read the manual, it looks easy. By using it, lot of misses and hits. Not helpful! Have to go back to using hammer-nail method to hit or miss the studs. Waste of time using this tool. Returned to store.

Mediocre job finding studs. Instructions for dealing with textured wall surface did not help. Spot identified as “center” varied by an inch or more on each pass. Will be drilling test holes to verify stud locations.

It was expensive, but worth it. Th model above picked up wiring. Did not need that. I have 2 others in my garage, can’t find them. I will put this one in a safe place and not loan it to my sons!

If you've had experience with a run of the mill stud finder, then you'll know what I mean when I say that it'll definitely find the stud with this device if you already know where it is.

It fors a better job than my other run of the mill stud finder. It worked on my 5/8” thk sheetrock as well. As always, still check the stud in both directions to make sure you have the correct location.

Very disappointed in this tool. Have a number of false readings, resulting in holes in Sheetrock wall that were unnecessary. Returned to store the next day. Wasted a lot of time with it.

This is really helpful in finding the center of the stud. I have thought I found the center with other finders, only to find out that the screw/drill went into the side. Its well worth the extra money over the basic ones

False Readings
In the beginning it did it’s job.. however as 2 yrs went by it started giving me false readings. I replaced the battery with a new one but it was still giving me false readings, sometimes it will work sometimes it will be off by inches. Would not recommend
