Samsung will be always THE BEST
Everyone in our family are so happy with this amazing item, I shared a few pictures with some people to be sure about our new nicely refrigerator. My 4 year old is so excited with the idea that he is able to take himself the ice creams. so far this refrigerator is a new diamond in our kitchen, the water option in another PLUS +++ I can be sure that my son is not going to break easily, because the water dispenser is inside!! I like too much.

    Just Bought, looks to be a great vaule and bang for the buck.
    We had a very tight space to work with. Our previous refrigerator was the worst of both worlds, Side-by-side and counter depth. This product was one a few that would work. Also, it was easy to remove the doors as the other obstacle was getting it into the house. We did not care for the ice on the door but this one does have the filter water in the fridge area. Hoping to get many good years of service of this bad boy. Glad to not have to go shopping every day now to feed our family of 5!

      Overall OK
      I bought this model back in Oct 2013. It's big and has lot of space for storage. The ice maker is noisy and sometimes does scare my family who thought that there were someone knocking on the wall or trying to break in. But, overall it's okay. Recent;y, the gaskets on both french doors have started to curl out. Hence, it's not tightly sealed. I can hear hissing sounds every time after I shut the doors. Not sure if the gasket replacement will be covered by warranty or not. I just hope that my electricity bill will not be spiking up.

        Great refrigerator, love the french door design and the bottom freezer
        We read a lot of the reviews online and was concerned about them saying it makes many noises. But we decided to buy it anyway and got the one with the water dispenser and ice maker. This is also our first refrigerator with a bottom freezer. We love the room up to and find the freezer on the bottom a great design. It does make noises periodically but nothing that is making us question our purchase. The only problem we had was the ice maker was not producing ice. I read many fixes and setting but nothing worked. So I just unplugged it one morning for 15 minutes and that seem to reset it and now everything works as designed. So if you want a refrigerator that makes little to no noise, this may not be for you. But we love it and would buy it again

        Beautiful, Flexible and Top Rated Samsung French Door Refrigerator
        We *love* our new Samsung French Door refrigerator. Selected based on a top rating in Consumer Reports for features, reliability and energy efficiency this refrigerator is a delight. We purchased a new home in January 2014-the kitchen had been updated, including all new Samsung appliances (dishwasher, microwave, and gas range), all EXCEPT the refrigerator. Samsung as an appliance company was new to us...so we waited to see. After 5 months of enjoying the other Samsung appliances for their functionality, performance and aesthetics, we were ready to replace an old white side by side refrigerator AND found the matching Samsung French Door refrigerator was top rated in Consumer Reports and a perfect fit for the space in our kitchen AND Home Depot had a fabulous price-it was an easy decision. We ordered on line, the delivery company Home Depot contracted with was professional, called ahead as promised, arrived on time, and did a fast and careful install of the new refrigerator. They also removed/disposed of the old side by side as we had requested.

        Very stylish
        Plenty of storage - bright interior lighting- smudges and finger prints show up easily on the exterior and it's easy to "ding" or "dent" so use caution moving items around it, it also has its own quirky noises- cracking,popping,ticking and fan motor is a bit noisy when starting up.

        Love this Fridge couldn't be more pleased...
        I was concerned about the reviews that said this fridge made excessive noise. Simply not true it runs nice and quiet, love that it has separate compressors one for the fridge and one for the freezer not found in other brands except for higher end models...great fridge great price looks really cool in my kitchen with more room inside than i expected. went from a side by side and now have to go shopping to fill it with groceries because of all the extra space inside... very pleased with the delivery haul away of old fridge and installation and setup was easy and done in less than 20 minutes... seriously happy that I bought this fridge.

        Love at First Use
        I bought this when our old fridge died in the middle of a NYC heatwave. To complicate matters, I was 9,000 miles away and had to do all my research FAST based on reviews and my own knowledge of the brand. I knew I wanted French doors, since they offer more options in terms of storing food (I cook a lot). When I got home, it was instant love. In fact, I couldn't love this fridge more. It is roomy, extremely adjustable, and offers just enough features to make it useful without being gimmicky. I really like that the filtered water access takes up a tiny amount of space inside the fridge. The French doors are truly fantastic if you like storing large trays or platters of food. Another advantage is that it's easy to see what you have, so food/leftovers, etc don't get lost. The freezer is exceptionally good, offering tons of space and easy access. Unless this fridge breaks down in the next few months, I can only give it the highest rating. My only complaint (and this is not the manufacturer's fault, it's actually my family's fault) is that the surface needs constant wiping down to get rid of finger prints, etc. This would not be necessary if certain people would use the handles to close the door, but what are you going to do.

          Do not buy a Samsung fridge!
          I’ve had this fridge for less than 5 years and everything has broken! The fridge stopped cooling, we got that fixed, but now there’s water pooling at the bottom. And the freezer won’t get cold enough to keep anything frozen…tons have food gone to waste. Don’t buy this fridge!

                Have had too many repairs
                This unit seems to have many issues and I have replaced parts that should last longer. The defrost system is iffy at best. The water dispenser inside is not a good idea since you have to hold the door open. The ice maker keeps making ice no matter how full the tray is and ice ends up all over the freezer top and bottom drawers.

                  dont bother with this! it’s complete trash! doors broke after 2 years and the “10” year worranry os comoleatly useles simce it only covers a very limited amount of things. i personally will never buy another samsung appliance again.

                      Poor Quality
                      ice maker stopped working within 3 years of working. sporadically made ice once every 6 months. ice tray fell off and dangles now. water collected underneath deli tray and froze so deli tray would not open. fridge needed to be taken apart and defrosted from inside back cover multiple times by repairman. water dispenser button stopped working after 4 years and was replaced 2 times. now water does not come out at all 7 years into purchase. easily dents as well.

                          Never buying Samsung again
                          purchased an entire samung appliance set and all 3 appliances have had issues. microwave broke after 6 months, refirgerator has had ongoign issues while under warranty and after warranty issues. they have a known problem with the refrigerator and there are no recall issues.

                            very dissapointing
                            i have ice coming out of the back of the inside of the refrigerator, my ice maker doesn't work consistently. it either over flows the bin and half of that is crushed ice, or it doesn't work at all. when i hit the reset button i hear the ice maker move and then nothing. the fridge is only 4 years old. i have had problems with my samsung washer also. i'll never buy a samsung appliance again.

                                  absolutely the best. it looks amazing the features are great lots of space for even big items. only thing i could complain about is water dispenser is a little difficult to press when using a plastic cup verses a glass. its in an akward spot as well. i am extremely happy with my purchase.

                                    Not my favorite purchase
                                    We purchased this new 3 years ago. Within less than a year, several of the door shelves broke. They come apart, fall, and shatter. We even left them empty to see if that helped, and they still came apart. We have 2 left that have the shelving all together, which is less than ideal functionally. The replacements are over $60 each! The ice maker randomly works and stops working. We tried trouble shooting that as well, but nothing seems to make it work consistently. Would not buy this again.

                                      Fridge broke down after 3 years.....
                                      exactly 3 years and 2 months after purchasing this fridge, the cooling in the freezer and fridge started to fail. the soonest service quick could send a technician was about 5 days. at this point, i had to throw away most of my food. technician arrives and performs diagnostic, and determines a part needs to be replaced. service quick calls me 5 days later to arrange an appointment that was about a week later. 3 weeks later, with a completely broken fridge, the technician arrives and does some repairs. the fridge works for a week, then completely loses cooling again. i expect this to take another 3 weeks to repair.

                                        Love the fridge except it keeps breaking.
                                        first i love this fridge however it keeps breaking and it is less than 6 years old. parts so far - ice maker tray, water dispenser button, door openers, thermostat, and defrost heater. now the hinges need some attention. we have an old refrigerator from the 90s in the garage that still works fine. makes it hard to continue to be a samsung fan.

                                          Refrigerator fan keeps icing up
                                          we purchased our samsung refrigerator in september 2017. in july of 2020, we started to hear a rattling noise from the fan; several days later, the refrigerator ceased to cool, and we now know that this was because of ice build up around the fan. since we were still under a service agreement, we were able to get the refrigerator repaired by a samsung technician; this included replacing the inside back panel and fan unit. it is now october 2020, and we are hearing the same fan rattling again. given that we are now outside our three year service agreement, and given that we need to keep the refrigerator in use, we are for the moment using a hair dryer on the back panel to try and thaw it without removing the panel as a stopgap. our next refrigerator will not be a samsung.

                                            Poor design and function. Samsung should be embarassed
                                            This refrigerator was recommended to me by HD worker. I purchased based upon recommendation. The face door panels are weak and easily scratched with soft cloth and soap... The ice maker quit working 1 week after installation.. I see this product is now discontinued and if you go to Samsung parts, there are no longer door replacements... Needless to say, after spending well over $15,000 at Home Depot on various products and purchasing 7 different appliances... Home Depot and Samsung will no longer be getting my dollars.
