Inferior in every way to PlastiDip
Stripped the clearcoat off my motorcycle's front fender after being on for 1 day. After seeing the other review here stating that Flexidip ruined the clearcoat on his car I immediately removed it from my fender, it had been on for about 12 hours. The damage had already been done. The clearcoat is gone. In half a day. I have used PlastiDip for years for these exact same kind of automotive applications and never once have I encountered it removing clearcoat, even after being on for years. Flexidip is pathetic and honestly they should take it off the market in it's current sad state. What a disaster. Don't be cheap. JUST GET PLASTIDIP. I do not recommend this product.

          worst purchase ever
I used this on a set of 800$ wheels I had just purchased and the stupid stuff does not come off at all. I worked on it for hours and still have bits and pieces all over. I used brake cleaner as recommended online and it helped but ended up stripping the paint on my wheels and still didn't remove all of the flexi dip. Will never use again and strongly discourage anyone else to.

That is odd, Jamison. Rust-Oleum FlexiDip Removable Rubber Coating is ideal for customizing car wheels and other automotive uses. Please keep in mind, more coats will result in a thicker coating which is easier to remove when desired. For best results, we recommend applying 4 or more light coats to build desired coating thickness, followed by 1 medium coat to achieve a smooth final film. Allow the coating to dry to a matte finish (about 5 minutes) between coats. It is also important that the coating is removed before 3 months or less from the application. Rustoleum

Use this to protect a white GMC truck that has white paint flaking off....the good thing is it can be peeled off when I really paint the truck....just spot protection for now

          Works well
I used this on my shovel, rake and broom handles for a better grip. It works well with a little practice. I found it to work better doing a couple coats and not putting it on too thick for each coat. I have had it on my handles for several months and haven't had to redo them. It does work on wood, but not as well as on the metal and plastic handles. The directions say plastic, metal and glass, but I decided to try it on wood as well. Not disappointed in this product. Be sure to let it dry completely between coats.

                Just okay
Used it to coat the wheels of my boat trailer. There was not enough propellant in the can to get all the paint out so I think a lot was wasted. Be better if it was sold in pint or half gallon size to be used in a paint sprayer. We will see how long it lasts on the wheels.

Hmm. If the valve clogs and it is difficult to get the rest of the paint to come out of the can, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a solvent such as xylene or naphtha. Please keep in mind we strongly recommend the product be removed within 3 months of application. We can’t wait to hear how well it holds up for you! Rustoleum

not nearly as good as everyone says
I used it on plastic and it runs so easy. You cant even get an even coat on it. Not the first second or even third thin coat. I sprayed over it with the real plasti dip i was using for the body wich was black and said forget the accenting.

That doesn’t sound right, John. It is important to shake the can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle and often during use. Keep in mind to hold can 8-12" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke and keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 4 or more light coats to build desired coating thickness, followed by 1 medium coat to achieve a smooth final film. Allow the coating to dry to a matte finish (about 5 minutes) between coats. worked perfectly to keep the chalk line in place so the contractors could work together in peace.
Trying to complete project on a dead line, multi contractors on site. One contractor would pop a chalk line and another would walk all over the line which would erase the line. Actually used the CLEAR paint to seal the chalk line down. Creating much needed peace, so everyone could get down to the business at hand.

A good product, if you use it properly
I found it easy to use, as long as you follow the directions. If you don't apply thin coats, it tends to run. But, applying thin coats and waiting 5 minutes between coats works well. I have used it on glass and on wood. The wood was painted, but the plastic seemed to provide a good barrier against spills (using it in my pantry). Not sure, however, how the long term effects will pan out.

                      DO NOT USE
This product claims its safe for plastic but it isnt! I used this on my brand new mustang's interior and it completely ate the plastics leaving cracks and weird looking marks...the 6 dollar can ended up costing me 550 I'm damages...and Rustoleum is yet to respond...STICK TO PLASTI DIP! It actually works!

                        Works well
This product did what I needed almost as well as Plastidip. Coverage was great and the color is white, not off white or anything like that. Adhesion is excellent but not hard to remove. The product is not easy to clean either. Scrub too hard or spray too high of PSI and you could damage it. I would recommend this product as an alternative to Plastidip if necessary.

                        better than plastidip
i have used this color all over my car and have had 0 problems. it has less of a rubber feel than plastidip and as long as you give it enough coats it peels off. i dipped my roof rack about 3 months ago and it holds up to bugs and gravel pinging off it. i will be spraying my rims this weekend.

                        Not that great.
This stuff is getting popular. I watched several Youtube videos of how to use. Easy to apply, and that's a needed thing because you will find yourself doing a lot of touch up. This brand is not as durable as I had hoped for. Next time I will opt for the regular Plasti Dip brand. Hopefully it will perform better.

It is smooth spraying , great coverage ! I haven't attempted pulling it off . It looks great and has endured on my rims during the past winter as well as car washes. Impressive!

                          Drip Drip Drip.. Not good
I used the product on my lower bumper. I shook the can often and as I sprayed the product would drip on the floor. What a mess. I used Plasti Dip before and never had this problem. It seemed as though the nozzle was clogging. Rusto needs to make major improvements. I won't waste my money on this again. shame on me for not sticking with Plasti Dip.

                          This i like water thin
I never write reviews but had to do this one. It is sad that home depot don't give you any option but only flexi dip( they only have black plasti dip sometimes). They try to force you to buy this product which is reallllllllllly bad, I am telling you, this is bad product. I have used paint before, including plasti dip, and flexi dip is useless. Not worth trying.

                            black spray paint vinyl paint.
This paint worked really good, I was getting ready to purchase some plasti-dip and seen this at home depot. It sprays on easy and stays on well. I did a set of atv wheels with it. I purchased a second pair of cans just to have. For the half the price of paying for the other stuff I was able to buy 2 cans of thiss tuff.

                            kinda rubbery feeling
it took me quite a few coats to get decent coverage on bare metal, and it stinks pretty good. I used to think epoxy paint was bad but this stuff smells like nail polish... just much much stronger lol. worked good enough for what I needed it for

Needed to cover a couple of flower pot bases to keep water from seeping out. Sprayed bottoms and they have keep the water from leaking out. You get 2 cans for less than a single can from the other guy.

                            Good product for comfortable handles
This 'paint' lays on a thin rubber-like coating with each coat. More coats equals thicker 'rubber'. It works well on yard tool handles (as an example). The coating is also removable if required, but so far seems to last with regular use on hard surfaces. I used it on tool handles (e.g., rakes) and on metal outside and so far it fares well in the weather. For hard surfaces like wooden handles, metal, etc. it works as advertised.

                            Garbage
I have experience with plasti dip which is a great product. I also have plenty of experience with rustoleum paints. This product however is a waste of money time & effort. Prep work was done correctly. I coated all areas with recommended dry time between coats. The areas I wanted to peel off came off in tiny pieces & the areas I wanted to remain coated blistered or bubbled during the drying process do not waste your time or $ on this product.
