    Answer This Question

A:  Interesting question Frank. Rust-Oleum FlexiDip Removal Rubber Coating is a removable rubber coating and is not suitable for painting a grill. For painting the exterior of barbeque grills we recommend Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Spray Paint. High Heat is designed for application to surfaces that reach temperatures of 1200°F, like the exterior of a barbeque grill. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-12-oz-High-Heat-Satin-Bar-B-Que-Black-Spray-Paint-7778830/202315061 - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

        Answer This Question

A:  Good question! We recommend Rust-Oleum FlexiDip Removable Rubber Coating be removed on objects outside after three months, for use on object indoors, there is no time table for removal. On exterior objects, exposure to UV rays will make the coating harder to remove after three months. In those cases a solvent may be required for faster removal. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

A:  Thank you for reaching out, Barry! Since Rust-Oleum FlexiDip Removeable Rubber Coating is a temporary coating and designed to be removed within 3 months of application, constant abrasion of the surface can cause the coating to come off easier or sooner. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

A:  Happy to help, Beth! Rust-Oleum Flexidip Spray is a rubberized coating that is formulated for temporary use and is recommended to be removed after 3 months or less. For a permanent coating, we recommend using Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy, which is a moisture resistant coating designed for the exterior of appliances. https://www.homedepot.com/b/Rust-Oleum-Specialty/N-5yc1vZ8l5/Ntk-all/Ntt-appliance%2Bepoxy?NCNI-5 - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5
