The door was much harder to install than advertised although...
The door was much harder to install than advertised although my glass door is on a cricked track. The flap also fails to magnetize most of the time and there is a strong draft from all around the door. They also don’t tell you how many holes you are going to leave if you ever take the dog door out… Otherwise it’s a game changer.

We are sorry to hear you had a hard time installing the door. Regrettably if you are placing the panel in a sliding glass door with a crooked track, issues created during the installation are due to the sliding glass door itself. This is not something the door can resolve since the area it is being installed into is not within normal expectations.
In regards to the issues you have mentioned with the magnets not connecting, this would indicate the flap is installed either too high or too low. If the magnets never make contact, the flap is too high. If the magnets make contact but the flap bows out of the door frame, the flap is too low. In both situations, you can loose the flap installation screws and adjust the height of the flap as needed. Doing this will the draft issues you have noted around the pet door.

The product was almost what I expected and seems to work for me. The delay of deliver and loss of first delivery was upsetting. However, the Home Depot staff helped me as much as possible. I appreciated that. Thank you.

My sliding glass door was installed brand new the day...
My sliding glass door was installed brand new the day before I got the pet door insert. The insert does not quite line up with the door. Not really sure which is tweaked. But it has been in over two weeks now, the dog loves it, no problems. I want to be able to take it out when we travel in the winter, so I did not screw it to the frame.

You may find it helpful to know that you can use foam weather stripping offered by most hardware stores to line along the sliding glass door frame to create a nice seal.

Okay with a flaw
The door panel works well in my different sized door openings. Unfortunately the plastic flap that the pet uses to enter and exit is poorly designed. The plastic flap does not seal well against the magnetic strips because the plastic flap is not on a hinge. It is mounted solid to the frame, thus it is bowed. It does not seal at all.

We're sorry to hear about these issues you've run into with your Plastic Pet Door! Gaps along the bottom of the flap can sometimes be fixed by adjusting the flap to sit a little lower in the flap holder. This can be done by loosening the screws on the flap holder slightly until you can shift the flap around, pushing it up slightly until it sits in a way where there is no bowing along the sides, which can create gaps.

Sturdy Dog Door for Patio sliders
The dog door fit perfect with the parts that hold the door steady. I bought the pet door in white. No leals. Did have to get some sealer between the pet door and sliders.

This worked great! My son had to make some...
This worked great! My son had to make some adjustments, but they were doable and I added more weather stripping and it is great! And the door to close it off fits nice and snug. Cats love it and now have their freedom back.

Mr Bentley Boy loves and uses it!
Yes I love the door, but I need to get it permanently installed, then there wont be any "give". It is of course a little loose (but it still cannot be removed from the outsude) For now I'm using a dowel to lock it which works fine. I'm more concerned about tightening it up for insulation purposes.
I gave it a 4 instead of a five only because I can't comment to the permanent instulation yet. But so far, even though it isn't fully installed, I feel confident that it cannot be easily removed from the outside, and Mr. Bentley Boy loves and uses it without any problem.

This was exactly what we had needed. Installation was relatively simple. It is stronger than it looks. At first I was skeptical about the seemingly small door opening, but even our fairly large Australian Shepherd goes in and out with ease.

Sliding Glass Pet Door
Our cats spend their days in our sunroom. But we needed a way to let them go in and out without air conditioning the non insulated sunroom. This is working perfect. I did not attach it permanently. It is removed when we need to lock the sliding door.

I didn’t expect to be so extremely pleased with this...
