We have had this for about a month now. We love the microwave and particularly the ExtendaVent feature. This microwave has everything you could ask for. It exceeds our expectations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had purchased a nearly identical microwave 3 years ago in stainless steel, minus the vent extender. We had good luck with that one & enjoyed the layout of controls. Earlier this year, we purchased black stainless LG range and fridge. The microwave is situated over the range. When our son bought a house, he needed a microwave. We gave him the LG stainless steel unit and we purchased the black stainless version, which includes the vent extension. It has so far given the same quality of use. Since the control layout is identical to the stainless unit, using it is seamless. The black stainless is quite attractive. Very happy with looks and operation.

I really like the extended vent, I am glad I chose LG♥️

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this microwave for almost 3 years. The microwave cooks well, although I have noticed over time that the frozen vegetable and potato cook functions have stopped cooking those foods all the way through. I am somewhat disappointed with the Extend advent. It does a poor job of keeping up with the steam and smoke from the stove and oven. Also not thrilled that the turbo fan kicks down to a lower speed when using the microwave. This makes the exhaust even less effective when cooking on the stove and microwave at the same time. I have had to fix the sliding tray twice due to some part in the latching mechanism loosening or becoming dislodged. I currently need to replace the trim piece on the front of the vent tag because it cracked and then broke after getting tagged by a bottle of olive oil that was being retrieved from the cabinet above. If LG monitors this I need a part number, please.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so excited to find a microwave that extended out! The steam from cooking on the front burners below would always rise to the wood cabinets above. This extended vent prevents that and save my cabinets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this LG Microwave a little over a month ago to match an oven that I bought. It is the easiest and nicest microwave that I have ever owned. This unit has a great “Extendavent” feature that expands the vented area. This has been great for sucking up all the steam and smoke from my frying pans on the front burners. Also has great lighting and large interior space for big platters.

The unit looked good, great feature of the slide-out vent. 4 Months in the front fascia cracked right across the "PUSH" for the slide-out. Figured I could live with it rather than have the local tech crawling through my house. Well now the plastic push-bar is literally falling apart into my pots while I'm cooking. I had to throw out a $100 soup I was cooking because lots of plastic shards fell in, plus the grimy plastic handle. BUYER BEWARE, THE PLASTIC CAN'T HANDLE THE MEASELY 140F HEAT above the burner. I know it can't be metal, but c'mon - what kind of an engineer designs something fancy and then can't stand up and defend that his design needs to have the correct plastic that can withstand this low-level of heat; and instead let's the cost-cutter push the product out the door where it can't even make it out of the warranty period?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I like most about this microwave is the slide-out vent with four speed of slow, low, high and turbo. The turntable can be off and on and has energy saving as well. You can thaw meat, reheat food, boil water, can cook pretty much anything, soften icecream including raising yeast dough. The manual that come with it tells you what this microwave can do more for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When shopping for a new microwave during our kitchen remodel, the extendable vent feature pretty much sold itself... Put everything else out of the running. We didn't have an option of putting in a hood, this was the next best thing. It works great.. But wish it could extend out even more. Fan speed on turbo deals with even wok hei. The microwave door doesn't feel what I would call premium and it is a little louder while using the microwave function compared to more expensive models. Bit if you need a little more vent.. This does the trick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had microwave almost two months it is a great addition to the looks in the kitchen it works as expected I only wish you could see the clock-timer from across the room you can't see the clock-timer time unless you are standing right in front of it like within 2 feet.

We moved into a condo with a ventless microwave/range hood that cleaned the air so poorly that we were in danger of having the fire sprinklers activated. Our new unit works beautifully and is quieter than our previous model. Additionally, the controls make more sense and are easier to use.

Window is too small at 4 inches and placed too high. See the attached photo. I complained to LG but they would not help. So I returned the LMHM2237ST to Home Depot paying a $60 restocking fee. I thought buying the LMH2235ST would fix the problem because the control panel is on the side. No one had it in stock, so I called ABT and the sales rep went down and measured the window size and said it was 2 inches extra. Unfortunately, when I ordered it again through Home Depot, it was still only 4 inches - they have painted the window black! So unless you are over 6 ft tall, forget about checking whether your oatmeal or tea is boiling over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liked the looks of the LMHM2237ST and the extend a vent. Replacing an existing microwave so opted to put it in with help. A minor problem is that the wall and cabinet templates have to be trimmed before use and when lined up with the center line on the wall you quickly find out they are not 100% to scale when you place the wall bracket over it. Allowed for that and microwave went up on first try. A bigger problem is when stainless steel is not stainless steel but very cheaply painted white plastic. The door and trim are metal, but the front of the extend a vent is not. As soon as I took off the protective plastic, a small bump with a light brush turned into a white plastic spot. I have no problem with well constructed chromed plastic, but for something that needs to be frequently cleaned for grease, this is very poor. Due to an upcoming trip I will not be able to talk customer support for a couple weeks, but will be surprised if it gets covered and will be too late to take down and return to the store. Chip is on right on bottom vent piece in attached picture. Microwave and vent system itself works well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We owned several microwaves and we just remodeled our house and installed this over the counter microwave. It's not a decision you want to take easily as it's a focal point. This has to be the best microwave we've every owned. All of the features are awesome including the exhaust fan, bright lights, ease of cleaning and so on. Our last microwave had a hard to open door and this one feels like nothing, which is great! I'd buy it again without hesitation, if I needed another one.

The microwave features are great. Gotta love the extending vent fans for covering the front burners on the stove. But, oh, that door! The window is 4 inches tall and so high in the door that you can't see a thing inside the oven. Unimaginably poor design. Apparently this is a revised version of this model, but they didn't bother to change the model number. So all those positive reviews you see are for the older version, that actually did have a generous (normal size) window. LG has made a lemon out of a formerly great appliance.

I have mixed feelings about this product. Overall the microwave is designed well and looks nice however I had 2 problems right on start up. The board was bad and the latch on the hood exhaust extension did not lock closed. LG customer support was nice and friendly, to their credit, and send a technician over 3 times and repaired the product. The microwave works well with no problems now. I think the quality could have been better and LG should have used a metal latch instead of a cheap plastic to lock the hood in place. Another nice feature is the recirculating hood exhaust system and the dual filter system which is the main reason why I bought this microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the convenience of the included extended venting system which I use regularly. Occasionally take advantage of the preprogrammed settings which are nice but require a learning curve.

I bought this in July 2022 and in January 2024 it no longer would heat, and the turntable would not rotate, everything else still worked. Luckily, I bought a 5-year extended warrantee, but it did not cover a new warrantee or removal of the old microwave. I was told the cost of repair did not make this option worthwhile.

The settings work just as expected. I love the reheat and melt settings. All the settings work great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The service was impeccable. The gentleman came in diagnosed the issue. There was no problem with the unit. The problem was mud dobbers had fallen between the fan and motor causing the fan to hit them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very disappointed on the descriptions that come up on the microwave time display window as they are too small and very faint, very hard to read. Not sure if this is standard or if something is defective. I did call LG and they said it is standard.

This model was definitely not my first choice, but the one I wanted was out of stock everywhere and our microwave had died. The microwave is huge. I was not a fan of the rack, so that came out on day 1. With the buttons being on the glass/window section of the door, there are constantly fingerprints and smudges to clean. That being said, the overall design does look very nice in our kitchen.
