This would get 5 stars easily if the instructions / owner’s manual actually included useful information...

The dehumidifier is very loud and the water reservoir needs emptying frequently, but it does effectively cool a room.

Used - sold to me as new. Filter was dirty, missing remote, plastic duct attachments discolored and covered with fiberglass tape.

Out of the box and into action in minutes. Did an exceptional job of cooling. Purchased as emergency response to HVAC drying. In late August 90-100 degrees. Was able to cool the living room and rolled it easily into the bedroom to cool it off for sleep ing. Great performance. A little noisy?

It would stop working and would need to get drained very often. The air felt very muggy.

It was very easy to install, cools off very well, using in a 170sqft room with a lot or electronics running and keeps it cool, only downside is it is loud and not much audible difference in the high and low fan speed

Easy to install and functions to expextations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this unit for a few years, we have always kept it clean! It has been my favorite a.c. unit that ive owned. We don't have a hvac unit & can't get one until next year, so this has saved us on extremely miserable days. Here lately it is leaking all over the floor. We do not use dry mode & dont understand why this is happening. I have cleaned out drain holes, drained & sometimes it happens instantly, even after draining all water out. It can go days without flooding our floor, but it has gotten very overwhelming. We put a puppy pad underneath it every day & it fills up almost instantly, the water just floods out. We can sit it outside with drains open for hours and water is coming out the whole time. I wish I could just toss it in the dump, but I'd rather clean up a mess than lay in my own sweat all day!

A tad noisy and fan does not turn off when temperature is reached.

Nice unit. Works well, quiet. If your room is close to the 200 sq/ft size I would go with the 12000 BTU unit or above. My room is 13X12 and on very hot days the unit struggles.

This air conditioner leaked profusely from the day we got it. No help from the LG customer service. Returned it for an air conditioner made by a different company.

Returning it due to extreme loudness. Cant talk on the phone when this is on. Can't sleep with this on. It works, but is extremely loud.

Great item cools our FROG easily.

Noisier than I expected, but cools well. There were a couple pieces missing in the window adapter kit, and customer service did not get them sent to me as fast as they promised me, so I knocked it down from 3 to 2 stars. Good choice for high cooling power in a room with a small window.

fills with water fast and is not easy to empty

Unit did not shut off to indicate pan was full but instead leaked from several places under the unit. We put a rather large tray under the unit and measured the water being collected- 2 quarts in a 7 hour period (over night) plus the amount we drained, plus amount all over floor that didn't drop into our tray. Unit was difficult to drain since water would pour from the right rear under the unit as we tried to wheel it to the door. Tried to contact LG which was a laborious task going back and forth. Finally just turned it off and plan on taking it back to Home Depot on our next trip.

My HVAC unit was at the end of it's life so I purchased this unit to stay cool while I wait for my HVAC to be replaced. The water reservoir on this unit had to be emptied every 3-4 hours. I work during the day so I only used it at night to stay cool while sleeping. Wasn't fond of having to wake up twice during the night. (I don't usually wake up until my alarm goes off.)

Review based on initial use. This is my 4th AC unit- prev 3 all worked great for first few yrs. Over time performance degrades. This unit is working wonderfully for now- too early to review longevity. No problems setting up. I walk into the house and instantly feel the chill while over 90 outside.

My apartment is somewhere in the range of 280sqft to 320sqft and this AC unit keeps me nicely in the range of 75F to 80F degrees when the outside temperature is 95F to 100F. The unit itself is very easy to use and maintain. The only downside is that it is a bit loud, but I still like it overall.

louder than I expected and not ‘beefy” enough to accomodate our room size. . . otherwise, it is a good unit that deserves to be considered when making your decision.

Poor design. Water spills all over floor when you have to move the machine to drain the water within 3 hrs of running. Have an older Wind Chaser and in 7 yrs never had water slop out of the unit and soak my carpet.

Wow this thing is SOO LOUD. It works overall. But WOW SO LOUD. Geez. I have to turn this off to get on the phone. When this is on I can't hear the TV without turning it on full blast.
