Tremendous Portable AC. I see the negative reviews complaining about noise, what do you expect? It's an AC. I actually enjoy the noise it creates, it cancels out all of the annoying people outside in the swimming pool all day long. It also cools my 280sqft bedroom perfectly. No need to run my central air unless I have guests over. Yes it's loud, yes it cools a bedroom nicely even if its 100F outside. Also saw someone say that it creates heat through the exhaust hose, well no kidding, the compressor is INSIDE of the portable AC, where else would the heat go? It's not perfect, but if you don't have an option to install a window AC, this will definitely get you through those hot summers. I would have preferred to use a window AC but my apartment community won't allow it.

You have to keep draining he water out of it every 2 hours even on cool mode. I never had to do this with the previous one I had. It hasn’t been that hot or humid for the condensation to collect so much in the unit.

The hose to the window gets hot when in cooling mode so the cool air is fighting with the heat producing hose. The dehumidifier feature cools better than the cooling feature. I really don’t like anything about it. It’s loud, the timer is funky, and a window air conditioner half it’s size at half the cost is colder, much quieter, and half the cost. The only benefit compared to a window air conditioner is I don’t have to lift this one.

Biggest problem?! It’s too loud. Want to watch tv in the same room as this thing? No way. Not unless you have great speakers and turn it UP. Want to read a book? Yeah right! Want to think? Nope - can’t do that either... you must be at least 20ft or 1 wall away from it for it to be reasonable. Unacceptable.. 2nd biggest problem.. Its not that great at cooling, and takes 33% more Amperage to do LESS cooling than a lower BTU wall unit..It sucks 9+ amps of energy at “10,000 BTU” but it says it’s rated for 300sqft.... most in-window units at 8,000 BTU will cool 350sqft and pull just 6 amps... and many of these great units, including LG brand, can be had a little over $200. Also, it takes absolutely forever to make a dent in our indoor temperatures and we have to wait until it’s midnight before it becomes truly cool... btw - we have energy efficient windows, insulation, blinds, and this thing still struggles.. Problem 3 The dehumidifier is poorly designed. The tank is too small and when I’ve carried it outside just a slight angle causes water to splash out onto the floor, and I’m not entirely even sure where it splashed out of.. if you have wood or carpet, this would be a major hassle. If you don’t - it’s still a pain due to LGs poor engineering. Plus this unit is so heavy that it’s a real pain in the butt to move it constantly to empty it out. If I were an older man with worse back problems, this would be impossible to maintain. Problem 4 It also takes up a lot of space. The unit + the large hose require a large footprint relative to the dimensions of the unit itself. This makes its design intrusive, especially if you have a small space or prefer efficient design. Overall - I do not recommend this unit. I was given this product from family members since our wall AC has died and given that our house is tiny - 900sq ft - we all thought this would be much better than nothing... We’ve had several days where opening the windows has been better than dealing with the absolutely ridiculous amount of noise, the splashing water, the heavy lifting, the inefficient cooling... It took me approximately 1 week to break down and buy a window AC. I cannot wait to stop using this portable AC.

The loudest air conditioner I've ever heard, measured 70dB when about 2 feet away and has an annoying whine. Poorly engineered fixture for window that falls out.

I bought this unit a while back I just started using it now. Very very excited about it it seems very efficient I can't figure out how to set the thermostat temperature on the unit so the unit shuts off when it reaches that temperature up and I also don't know why it continuously turns on and off on and off. There's clearly something I need to read or something I need to look into

Bought the unit and it works decently. My apartment is less than 350sqft and it helps but doesn't totally cool the place off. When it works it works well enough. Easy to use. But after the warranty stops, then yep...no good. The compressor in mine and the cooling core are not talking to each other. Even after maintenance. The air it blows isn't not cold. The compressor doesn't make that "Brrroooowww" sound when it turns it turns on, and only half the vent blows cooler air. Draining the thing is terrible. It's heavy, awkward and make no sense, while having 2 ports to take water out is excellent and useful, you have to tip the thing, while holding it OVER something. At this weight it isn't a good design.

Colds very fast my living room.

Unit was cooling and now it's only a fan blowing hot air. The temperature won't change from 78. What should I do?

Just does not cool all that well. It is rated for room much bigger then we use it in so should not have any trouble.

We have used this for the past couple of years. Our master bedroom is in the back of the house and our new AC system just doesn't push the cold air enough to provide us any relief from the heat. However, THIS unit performs outstanding!!! We definitely find it easier to relax during the day sleep at night. I would HIGHLY recommend this unit to EVERYONE!!!

Does not cool as i expected

It was easy to set up and get running and did an awesome job of cooling the house down!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a Smart 4k TV for a while now & I have been researching all the manufacturers for a well made & reliable 55" models with the features that I wanted. After reading many-many reviews & viewing them at the store I went with the LG. It wasn't the most expensive or was it the lowest priced TV, but it was a brand name you can trust for reliability & viewing excellence and that was what I exactly wanted to spend my hard earned money on. This LG Smart 4k TV has been perfect for me so far & I am extremely happy my choice was LG.

I own 3 of them so it was good enough to buy 3 times.

It keeps filling up with water and soaking my carpet. I’m not happy with this product.

The unit says no need to empty tank. Wow had to empty it every 45 minutes. On the Cool setting not the dehumidifier setting. Returned

I bought this three years ago becase my room is over the garage and the hottest in the house. It died in under two years and getting on the LG website is no help and getting a repair person out to look at it costs more than replacing. So...if you rely on this for cold air to sleep, realize you get what you pay for and it won't last.

The ac was easy to set up and does a great job cooling.

We went to use ours for the first time after we lost power during Irma to keep our bedroom cool running off the generator. After the 3rd day, it stopped blowing cold air. We had everything set up correctly; the exhaust vent , we continued to drain the water, etc. A huge let down as that was our only source of cold air during that time.

Excellent. Our expectation were high and we were not disappointed. With the high humidity we experience, we have been able to control it with this air conditioner. Couldn’t be more pleased.

This product does not work after months of purchase. It does not get cold at all if u use during very hot days. Would not purchase this product for anything

Good little machine-came in handy with the heatwave we had in Los Angeles. We have an EXCELLENT LG washer Dryer and decided on this because it is a LG. Hoping it last for years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with our new LG portable air conditioner. Using it in the bedroom since purchase and it is keeping us cool on AZ desert hot nights since our HVAC died. It is wise to use the provided insulation strip between the window and provided panels with the hose to keep outside air outside. We did not and did not experience any adverse issues, but see where it would be necessary if we used the A/C daytime.
