[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product works great and keeps my room very cool only draw back and why I gave it 3 stars is because the water storage gets full really fast! And I have to empty the tank every 2 hrs and to empty the tank I bought a small step stool cause plug is literally at the bottom of the ac and you have to put it on something to empty the water.

Terrible. Ran this thing day and night in a 200 sqft room and the temp never dropped below 75 degrees.

Water does not evaporate out of the unit, must be manually emptied. The operating manual states that this product has a self-evaporative system. The condensing water should be recycled to cool the condenser....this is not happening and the unit does not cool the room. We are returning the unit.

The product is much louder than the 12,000 btu LGE I bought a few years ago and does not seem to cool as well. I preferred another of the one I previously bought but it was not in stock. I have no way to return this one or I would have returned it.

Works well but the condensation tank is small so needs to be emptied often.

It worked for two years and died. Horrible.

I have owned this unit for 2 or 3 years now. It does cool the room. So that is the plus side. The down side is the way the thing fits into a window. We have sliding windows, so it installs vertically in my window (very hard to fit any other air conditioner) so I have to tape it in place to keep it from falling out. The adjustable portion of the plastic window fitting does not stay in place and also has to be taped to the window to stay put. The hose where it connects to the plastic adjustment piece is very fragile and has to be screwed in with the tiny screws to keep from falling out, but is so fragile that it has broken and now I have to buy new parts for it. I am just guessing a standard casement window installation would be a little better. Second problem is the quality of the exhaust hose. I have purchased white duct tape for it because it tears constantly. It is VERY cheap plastic. I have it installed in my dining room to get the best circulation throughout the area. It does do a nice job of cooling the main area of the house. It works hard to keep up in the space I have it. Final complaint is that it is very very loud. We have to turn it off to eat dinner because it is too loud to talk over. I saw another review that said it is not loud and am wondering if use on wood floors is what causes mine to be so much worse. So all things said. Yes it cools but the installation is not good at all. I get that you want portable, but there needs to be better quality hoses and plastic mounting pieces because for a few months of the year it is a pain.

Three years ago I bought my first LG portable 10,000 BTU AC Unit and loved it, especially in this Texas triple digit humid heat. This year I bought 2 more LG portable 10,000 BTU AC Units and enjoy them too. I would highly recommend this LG 10,000 BTU AC Unit to anyone cooling an average space.

slightly loud at start up but gets quiet within minutes. Easiest window install yet and cools nice. I went and bought another one for another room. Self Evaporation is the best

Easy to set up. Did not expect the fan to be so loud. The low fan setting isn't much different. Cooling is just ok. My small window unit does a better job. I will most likely return it.

Bought this from Home Depot a year ago for our bedroom as we like cool to sleep, but did not want to cool the whole house down for just one room. Install was easy, but the vent hose broke off the unit the first night and I had to duct tape it to the unit. Cools the bedroom down nicely, but the unit is loud even with the fan on low.

It seem to blow cold air but was so loud I returned it the same day in purchased it.

Cools exceptionally. Love it. Dont have to use as much electricity as the big unit outside. Cools wherever you want an extra blast of comfort.

Works great for our room. Doesn't make to much noise and keeps the temperature even very well!

Pluses: Cools my 200 sq ft room well. Pretty easy to install, even with a big window. Minuses: It's loud. We had some problem with water leakage, but I'm hoping it's just that the drain plugs were loose.

The portable ac I bought was not worth buying it only stay cool for 30 seconds and blows hot air . Goes back and forth

For the price a window unit is much better I got the 10,000 BTUs barely cool my bedroom put a 5000 BTU window unit in about froze me out I took back the standup unit

I ready like the 10,000 should have taken the 14.000makes the room cool for what I need

much noisier than I expected. The difference in hi and low fan speed is barely noticeable.It does cool the room though

Easy setup works great

Part that attaches to the window is a little hard to keep in. The guides are fine but the end of the tube keeps coming apart. Had to tape it.

Cools well, Set up was ok not great.Evaporative aspect does not work well.I have to empty it twice a day. It is LOUD too. I have a Whytner to check to see if it's on. I should have spent the extra money!

Excellent performance

Just bought the yesterday to replace a window unit and so are not impressed. Not only is it noisy but doesn’t seem to cool as well as window unit did. Also it seems like the cool air lasts just as long as unit is on. Also not happy that it is not energy star efficient.
