Great sump basin at very reasonable price. There are no holes in this basin (which is what I was after). Also purchased mating cover.

The sump pump basin works great as long as you pay attention to how the bolt holes for the lid are aligned. If you want the slot to be in a certain direction when the lid is installed the bolt holes have to be arranged accordingly. Before you apply concrete around the basin.

Good and strong material

Sort summary: If you dont get much water this is the pit for you, if you have a lot of water, look for a larger diameter pit Long story: We have a very high water table when we get rain so sump pump runs normally about every 10 min for about 30 seconds. We have burned out 2 pumps in the last 5 years. The previous owners just had a hole in the floor. Due to high humidity and radon issues we wanted to get a lid over the pit, also wanted to try and keep the dirt out of our pumps to help extend the life. We cut a 26" square hole and dug 20" deep. We drilled 100+ 1/2" holes in the bottom and sides of the pit, up to about 4" from the top, then wrapped in filter fabric. Back filled the hole with 2" gravel on the bottom and 2" all around the pit, up to 3" from the concrete surface. The pit is very strong and well made, however it is too small, our 1/3 HP pump empties it in about 5 seconds and runs every 90 seconds, so we are worst off then we where before the pit. We will have to look into a new switch to increase the run time and amount of water it lets into the pit.

Nice plastic sump pump basin. You must install your own holes, sturdy and does what it is supposed to do. I don't know what more to say about it. It works.

From what little I know about sump basins, this basin constructed very well ! Seems heavy duty and I would think would last a life time, probably several.. The 22 inch deep hole in our rocky area was a challenge, but got it done. Works great!
