They work good, thicker sides than the others- pre-slit ones. I prefer drill my own holes for weeping in the water and I throw few 4” screws threw sides into gravel hold them down if your hole is drier during install. Not always that lucky. Hole saw cut clean through sides. Easy to plumb other crocs drains into.

It works perfect for what I need it. I have cut the bottom off and used the remaining part of the basin as an extension of the culvert under my driveway. Fabulous :-D

            Very Sturdy
I purchased this sump basin to install in a basement window well prone to flooding during prolonged hard rains. No complaints about the quality of this sump and no concerns about it being able to survive our severe winter climate. This thing is tough enough to take the abuse of being installed in the ground outdoors even in this northern climate. The addition of a cover will keep snow and ice out of it during the winter season. I drilled twelve 1/4” holes along the sides of the sump basin and four 1/2” holes in the bottom, wrapped it in landscape cloth, set it on 4” of gravel and surrounded it with approximately 4” of gravel to within 3” from the top - 450 pounds of gravel. Although the bottom holes should allow the sump to eventually completely drain, I plan on removing the pump in late fall and reinstalling it in early spring to assure that there is no freeze damage to the pump over the winter.

Sturdy, good construction, thick material, looks like it will last forever (which is what is expected). I took 5 minutes and drilled my own holes in it and saved $20.

Perfect sized basin and it comes as a watertight container, meaning there are no holes preset for you to use. No thin wall sections to simplify making a hole. I wanted to make my own sized holes at the level I wanted them, so this was a big reason why I chose this basin.

I had a basement that would get wet every time the snow melted and I was tired of it. So here's what I did to correct it: I started by repairing the holes in the wall with Water Stop from Home Depot. Then, I painted the walls with DRYLOK Extreme - also from Home Depot. But I knew that with my luck, the water might still ooze up through the floor so put down a poly vapor barrier and poured a new floor. Before I did that though, I decided that I needed a Plan B. So, in the unlikely event that water ever came back, I installed a floor drain, a 2" PVC pipe and this Everbilt Sump Pump Basin, all from Home Depot. I considered it to be VERY inexpensive insurance and I'm so glad I did this. Once I repaint the walls and then paint the floor, no one will even notice the sump pump basin in the floor. It will all blend in. Cutting the hole in the basin was easy. I just used a hand-held sabre saw and was able to place the hole exactly where I wanted it to be.

Builder Sump Pump couldn't keep up. Set new basin with pump in egress basement window to relieve the hydraulic water pressure off basement walls. It's a beautiful thing now, no more problems. The wife is happy, therefore I'm happy.

I used the basin in my crawl space. It's made of thick walled plastic, which makes it tough but still easy to work with. I drilled about 50 or so 1/2" holes into the bottom and sides, covered them with filter fabric and used stretch metal to hold it in place.
