[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought JS470EB Barrel-Grp Jig Saw over a year ago because is more ergonomic than traditional jig saws. I used since then in few projects and it is definitely the best jig saw I ever had.

Quality tool and very ergonomic

The best jig saw I have owned.Super controll of the saw is match by the power the saw provides.wish you could slow the motor down? No problem there is a speed selector in the handle nice!!

Excellent, powerful, easily controlled

At first I wasn’t sure about the new handle design as it’s different from the types I’ve used in the past. After use it’s got much great control as your closer to the work surface.

The drill is great to handle and good straight cuts.

I preferred the top handled version versus the barrel grip model. So, I found a top handled one at my local Home depot and exchanged the barrel gripped one. I Love my new top handled Bosch 7 amp jig saw . I has lots of power and maneuverability .

I haven't used it as much as I wish but it has work perfectly, I would definitely recommend this.

It is easy to use, has all the power you need, does not bounce around, all of this makes it easy to cut a straight line. Only small drawback is that you can not use the standard blades, must upgrade to the T style blades, extremely easy to change the blade during use, rotate the collar and the blade will fall out, no burnt fingers.

My husband absolutely loved this drill. Great quality!

Purchased this jigsaw after much research. I am very impressed with the quality of this product.

It’s stated that this is a variable speed. It is in fact NOT. So just FYI, if you’re expecting as I was a variable speed you may be disappointed. However it does work cery well but will have some challenges as I use it with different materials. If this was a variable speed, I would likely have rated it 5stars.

I was never happy with previous jig saws. I needed to replace the last worn out saw. ended up buying this. the grip is larger than anticipated and reaching the switch is awkward. But My hands are considered a mans small/medium so most men will not have issues. I like the very easy blade retention and release mechanism, swing lever to side, insert blade, move lever other direction. to release, move lever to side and the blade flies out, so keep an eye out where it lands. :). The saw is corded (I prefer) and has plenty of power to spare. it is easy to maneuver around the cutting path and comes with a clear guard to direct shavings away from work path. Bosch has very good reputation and this saw plays well.

Don’t like it can I exchange it for reg one with lite?

This jig saw is designed for right-handed people and I only recommend it for right-handed people. The on/off switch is difficult to use with your left hand and does not feel safe because you cannot turn it off easily with your left hand. Other than that major design fail, it is an excellent heavy duty jig saw.
