Works great. Sucks you have to buy the the knife separately.

You should be told that the blade is not included. I found out at the job.

Obviously operator error. I was a painter for 20 years and I have three of these machines and they worked perfectly and still do. Multiple blades for different functions and materials, not all of which are wanted by all customers. Bet these same folks would struggle with a 5-in-1 tool...:)

Shame in you 3M, i expeced more out of you. My guess is that you dont include the blade because it puts the price over $40. Not sure its worth it depending on the size of paper yiu are using the Scotch version might be worth a try.

A purchase this product and get all the way home and found it was incomplete that the blade was sold separately very disappointing I spent 2 hours of extra drive time getting going back to get the blade

My favorite tool in the paint world!

No matter what your painting or staining, the M3000 masker is essential to getting quick professional results. It is very easy to set up and use, and with the adjustable cutting blade, you pick the type and size of tape and protective film needed to complete your project. It really is a must have.

It is light weight and easy to install pre-folded plastic or paper for covering and protecting when painting. I like the multi-purpose hook which hangs on my belt which frees up both my hands to tack down the masking film. It allows me to work alone and prep for painting quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M sent this to me to try out. As a professional painter I couldn't survive without one of these. Just put on the appropriate blade for plastic or paper and you are set. You can get the plastic in different sizes and this lets you tear off the needed width. The amount of time this saves is way worth the cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These hand maskers are the bomb, they expedite and and all projects. My brother, years ago, had one, not a 3M, he hated it, regretted ever buying, nothing touches the 3M version. One thing I miss though, and strangely enough they still make the slot for it and that was the additional 1" tape dispenser they had on the top, that thing was very handy, but I know why they stopped it, too fragile, I bought a dozen once when you could still get them, broke everyone of them! Not all ideas work out, still a great tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used my 3m masker to mask walls to prepare for spraying a popcorn ceiling. The masker made life so much easier prepping out the rooms. A sharp cutter (sold separately) attached to the 3m masker bit right through the tape and plastic. Well done 3m!

I used to 3/4 ‘’ tape it worked out perfect couldn’t ask for more or a better product.

Don’t waste your money! This piece of crap doesn’t make anything easier. All it did was raise my blood pressure. The tape wouldn’t stay on the plastic once I figured out which way to load the plastic since the directions didn’t give any help whatsoever (I can read) the directions were only very unclear illustrations. The only reason I gave it the one star, was because it won’t let me not give the rating.
