The idea is good. But the whole system is so...
The idea is good. But the whole system is so finicky. The tape doesn’t like to follow the same path as the plastic roll. The thing is expensive too. Just buy the 3M pre taped plastic rolls. Forget this whole handheld thing.

Blade Sold Separately!!
Bought this tool only to find out that the blade is sold separately!! In all for $90 -100 when its all said and done, not it.

No blade is included in this specific package, as noted on the packaging and in the description. This so that our customers may use their current 3M Film or Paper blades, or purchase the blade that best suites their needs. We sell the blades separately, we also sell the hand-masker pre-assembled kits that does include a pre-assembled blade. Useless without a blade
I know this s a great product, but it does not come with a blade, so its useless when bought.

Great idea, poor function
Tape kept coming off the paper. Ended up just using the tool to rip pap lengths. In hindsight, i would have never made the purchase.

What I don’t like about this masker is it does...
What I don’t like about this masker is it does not have serrations to cut the paper when you are masking which sometimes made it get tangled up with tape when you try and break off a sheet of masking paper. For the price it should include this.

Big effort and time saver
I was going to forgo using this. Than realized how much effort and time this was going to save me. Very happy I bit the bullet and purchased this. I do think it is pricey for the build quality, but it did still deliver the value I need for my projects. Even when apply the tape and masking its a very clean and straight application. I definitely was able to have a professional outcome!

Absolutely worthless
Maybe it works in a nice square new house. 100 year old plaster and lath don't bother.
