Practice makes perfect -- learning curve is 200 ft
As a practiced hand at tape and paper or tape and film masking as two steps (often 2 workers) this looked like the perfect solution. It is...... BUT on DAY 2, would be 2 stars. Keep trying, gentler, slower, keep tool in line with where you need to go.

Worth every penny. I was able to tape off a 10' x 9' wall in plastic. Took less than 3 mins with one hand. Works good on windy days as compared to taping by hand. Buy it and see for yourself.

Takes a bit to get it loaded correctly and get everything strait. Once you do, it works great and makes covering walls super quick.

Come without blade
Comes without the blade. You have to buy that separately. It's total BS. What's the point of selling an incomplete tool? If I had a responsible face that I could punch, I would. I would have paid more to have a complete tool upon leaving the store.

Poor tearing of film ( with appropriate blade). In theory...
Poor tearing of film ( with appropriate blade). In theory a great tool, in reality only somewhat, not much better than my 25 year old version. Distance between tape and masking paper does not stay constant when used for long applications resulting in separation of tape & paper, wasted time and supplies.

Requires extra parts
Blade sold separately. Bull crap. If a tool doesn’t function out of the box and requires extra parts, they’re just tricking you into thinking that price is lower than it is. You cannot purchase this and use it. You must buy an additional blade for it to work. The

This definitely makes masking much easier. The fact that the masker does not come with a blade is weird. You have to buy the blade separately.
The guard on the blade unfortunately does not simply unsnap so you can remove it. So you’ve got to make sure your masking has engaged the blade before tearing. Somebody must’ve got hurt so they made this change. Other than that it worked fine.
