We ordered this dryer after one of our much-hated LG washer dryer combo machines (ventless) bit the dust. Our building does not give us the option of venting a regular dryer, so when I found this machine, at an amazing price, I decided to give it a try, as I was sick of waiting 4 hours for a small load of laundry to finish, and still be extremely damp (as is the "norm" with the ventless combos). It has become the best purchase I have ever made and my coworkers are in LOVE with this machine. It has a huge capacity drum and completely dries a large load of towels in 40 minutes. It's beautiful, efficient, and even plays a heavenly tune when starting/finishing (we all imagine the clouds parting and shining a beam of light on this machine when we hear it, it is that amazing :) ). Would I recommend this? Absolutely, just make sure you have one of those weird 4-prong outlets/ 220 service. We were told it would use a standard plug and had to have an electrician come in after receiving it and being told we didn't have the proper outlet. A minor setback, totally worth it to have this machine!

Love the look, the controls, the drum is so large! The clothes come out wrinkle free even when I don't get to them at the end of the cycle. But mostly, I'm looking forward to the energy savings! The installers were very nice, efficient. Came on a day when the roads were icy and they had to skate into the drive! Thanks guys!

Works great although it takes longer to dry and I hope the secondary lint screen is durable.

I've had this ventless dryer for three months. Live in a condo where safe dryer venting is not possible. I've had no problems at all with the dryer, it works beautifully and while it does put out some heat it's minimal and no humidity. Biggest thing to adapt to is the sound while operating, I close the door to the utility room and barely hear it.

I have used the dryer less than a month but so far it work like any other .It does use a lot less energy and it because it is ventless placing the dryer is easier in the washroom.

After many years we just replaced our Miele dryer with hybrid .Has bigger barrel great for silks and cashmere installation was a snap clothes come out with less wrinkles best ever! I should say I am very used to a semi hybrid dryer so if your first gogo read directions clean filters you will never buy anything else.

I have this Dryer for about 2 months and love it. Electric savings of about 75%over my old type of outside vented unit,very easy to use and operate and is extremely quiet.Need more time to advise about the quality and build, only hope it continues to operate like it is now formany more years. This unit was more expensive than others however I hope the energy savings should make up the difference . I would recommend this toanyone looking to save energy.

Bought this dryer as it was the only one that fitted with our underfloor heating system of 20 years.I find the clothes take much longer to dry compared to the outdoor venting dryer I previously had, and I have to ventilate my utility room to offset steaming and over heating the room.

Was so excited when this product was available. Much larger than other ventless dryers and it does a supurb job.

our old dryer was not vented correctly and we always had lint flying everywhere, plus we we worried about a possible fire! It takes a little longer to dry clothes but it is worth is and the clothes do not have lint either.

This unit performs much better than I expected. I have recommended it to several of my friends.

We've had the ventless, heat pump dryer for 6 weeks. It works amazingly well. We had to increase the default dryness setting, but fortunately that's easy to do. The dryer does take longer in some modes than my previous dryer; but there is the option to dry more quickly when you need to, so I don't mind.We just insulated our house with foam and it seemed a shame to cut a hole in the side of the house to allow cold air in for a vented dryer.

We bought this dryer due to the way our vent system was installed in our house. It was piped under the slab and turned several 90 degree angles before the air reached the outside. It made for a nightmare with continual clogging of the pipe. It would literally take 3 hours to dry a load of clothes and with 4 children that wasn't feasible or economical. We got the dryer in yesterday and put it to work. We have put 4 loads through it flawlessly. The eco setting does take about an hour and a half however it consumes less energy but you do have the option of the rapid dry time which is about 45 minutes. We didn't notice any steam in the room or extra heat. It is definitely louder than our previous dryer especially on the rapid dry cycle but the extra noise is well worth not having clogged vent line and DRY clothes in half the time or less. We have also noticed that the clothes are softer and fluffier than our previous dryer.

I have owned the unit for about 6 months and if it wasn't for the HybridCare filter I'd give this 5 stars and recommend it to everyone I know. The filter is flimsy and poorly made. Plus there's a charcoal type filter insert that is getting clogged up that I can't get cleaned out. I have looked everywhere on the internet for replacements and can't find anything. Lint filters are available for every make and model in existence it seems but this filter is no where. I am very very worried about what I will do when the filter finally falls apart.

I purchased this for a tight house. I have always disliked the idea of making a big hole in my wall so cold air can come in. Open a vented dryer in the winter and it's like an ice box! I used this briefly before it became colder outside and it does make the room warm. I have a window in laundry room so I will open it in the summer. The warmth it generates probably isn't that different from a gas dryer. It does probably produce more moisture. It leaked once because we didn't tighten the hose well enough but our fault. We discharge the moisture into the same pipe as washing machine. I find that you either need to make it run longer or set the dryness level to 'more'. Sometimes it's not as dry as you would like it which may be an annoyance to some people; it's on the main floor so it isn't too bothersome for me at all. All in all I am really happy with this rather expensive purchase.

Just got it, problem is that it does not perform in the way described in that the air is not just recirculated within the machine for the drying. Instead, the dryer pulls air from inside the home, and blows it back into the house, it removes the lint and some of the mositure, but all the smells associated with laundry and fabric softener permeates throughout the house. In addition, it blows 110 degree heat back into the house throughout the drying cycle. This machine is defective in its design, and is marketed fraudulently. Don't even think ofpurchasing one, you will hate it also.

My friend lives in England and has raved about these, so I decided to try it out even with some scary reviews that made me nervous. I've had this dryer for 3 weeks now, and cannot believe what I've been missing out on! I've had this long vent that gets plugged every few months and drying clothes was a long process taking two cycles and a timed dry all in a row. Now I just start my dryer, and decide if I want Eco or Speed. It's dry! Imagine that a dryer that dries! Seriously though my clothes are coming out so much nicer than before I cannot believe we don't have all ventless dryers in the US. When others figure the out I'm sure ventless will take over!

I bought this as a set with the Duet washer and it works great. While the dryer is top notch with all the capabilities expected in a top-of-the-line dryer, the ventless capability is the best. No worrying about cleaning the vent or vent fires. The humidity from the dryer is not even noticeable! Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it highly.

I needed a stacking washer/dryer in a tight space that had a ventless dryer. I was told this was the only one I could get. Although, I was also sold a miele, ventless, stacking w/d for another apartment I own. The Miele is more expensive but smaller and a better fit for stacking. Maybe the salesman assumed I wanted a full family washer/dryer? This machine was replacing a stackied Maytag w/d. Well the machines are perfectly fine for side by side but as a stacking machine they are so large that I have to stand on a step stool to reach the dryer controls. Why would anybody put the controls on the top of a dryer for a stacking machine. Also, these machines are in a closet. They weigh almost 500 lbs. Whirlpool does not have a system in place to move the machines out if you need to service the water lines or the machines. Whirlpool sales people could not even tell me if the machines are serviced in front. I had to have the machines installed on a dolly so that if I needed to move them in an emergency it was possible to move them. They are monster machines and should not be sold as stacking machines. The machines are noisier than my 25 year old Maytag.

This dryer is great and it takes care of your clothes. The slow drying process keeps my clothes looking new. The savings in electricity is even greater!

Got it a month ago to replace a 17 year old ventless dryer. This one is bigger, quieter, and better. Heat pump technology works great and is a lot faster than we expected. No room moisture issues.

After extensive research on ventless dryers, I opted for the 7.3 Ventless Duet. My goal was to eliminate exterior venting in a high rise beachside condo while reducing electricity expense (and thus carbon footprint). So far all I can say is WOW - with a family of six and frequent loads throughout the week this unit has been an exceptional experience! Drys better than the vented unit it replaced and has reduced my comparable electricity bill roughly 11%. I would strongly encourage anyone to give it a test drive. Great quality, easy maintenance and best of all MADE IN USA.

I'm so glad there are finally some green choices in dryers. My first few loads have dried efficiently; I'll be interested to see if there is a difference in electricity use.

I've had this dryer a couple of months. So far, it's been working beautifully. It's a really nice unit. The large capacity is so convenient and the alarm sound is quite pleasant! It's very easy to use and the clothes are coming out completely dry and in great shape. I had a problem with the delivery where the guys damaged the unit (chipped off the paint in a few spots, toppled the whole dryer over, etc.). I had to get the unit replaced and although I had to stay on top of everyone, it all worked out. Maytag/Whirlpool had good customer service. HD customer service reps were completely incompetent and snippy, so I was glad that I paid a bit more for Maytag/Whirlpool's customer service. Luckily the second delivery was better--the guys were stronger, more careful, and nothing got damaged. They took over an hour to switch the dryer door to the other side, but after I found the directions for them (sitting inside the dryer), it took them less than 10 minutes (switching the dryer door was included in the delivery). In both cases, the delivery guys spoke no English at all, so that was tough since I don't speak Spanish. But they were pleasant and polite. I'm giving this five stars because the unit itself is fantastic. And after a lot of hassle, I have it at home and it's working!

so far i have benn happy with this purchase. the engine has a slight purr like the mellow roar of a jet engine, not loud but sounds cool. have yet to see savings as i have not had ventless dryer for very long. but so far it's been great.

I got this dryer because of its safety to avoid the fire hazard risk from the one that we had.I love it.

I am so pleased with this dryer. It is a bit larger than most, but it has a space age feel to it. It has a very large load capacity, which makes it much more efficient when drying. It has a sensor that will adjust the temperature to the proper heat depending on the wetness or dampness of the load. I like the fact that it does not have an outdoor vent shooting out lint to my ac unit. You must be sure that it is set up in a laundry room or garage or a closed area so that the heat generated does not impact the rest of the house. Highly Recommend this product.

What a great energy saver! Not to mention the safety of not having to use a dryer vent. The laundry room needs to be well ventilated though because it does get hot and humid. Overall it is a great dryer and we are very pleased with it's performance.
