Very pleased with this dryer. The clothes come out softer than any dryer I have owned. It does take a bit longer to dry than a vented dryer but considering our building restrictions, I am very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not having a place to vent a traditional dryer, my choices were few. I wanted a full size machine and this ventless dryer has exceeded all my expectations. It's quiet, efficient and doesn't take a long time at all to dry all my clothes.

The only thing that seems a little weird is the hybrid care filter - I've never had to clean a filter every 5 cycles. But even this is very easy and no issue at all - takes 2 min.

Got it installed. Technician ran it on 45 minute cycle. Worked. Did washing - put in first load of towels (to be safe) - and would you know the machine gives up half way through. Error code - schedule a service to repair! (First available service is a week away :-(. )

I've been waiting for years. Uses 1/3 the energy of a regular vented dryer. No vent needed with this dryer. We love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've just hooked it up, so I don't know how the heat pump will affect our electric bill. But so far the drying seems excellent. The only problem I foresee is the vent in the back that has to be cleaned at intervals. It seems an idiotic place to put something one needs to get at. The machine has to be pulled out from the wall to reach it. I'm not strong enough to do that, so will have to ask for help. (I'm told if I put the dryer on any sort of pedestal that will move, I void the warranty, so that's not an option.) I'm perplexed: how can such a smartly engineered machine -- an advance in dryer engineering -- have a vent that has to be cleaned in a spot that's nearly impossible to get to?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, a very solid 4 star. Two things prevent me from rating it a 5; the dryer is noisier than a traditional dryer and it takes longer to dry compared to a properly vented traditional dryer. Aside from that, this is an excellent machine. As for the noise level, while not substantially louder than a typical dryer it does make a bit more noise and the sound is higher pitched than what you typically associate with a dryer. As for the longer dryer times, this is something the manual said was normal with the heat-pump dryer, however, I would have preferred something that dries a bit quicker. Having said that, it still dries quicker than my old dryer did due to the poor venting design in my house. Now to the good; the heat pump technology works great and uses considerably less energy than a traditional dryer. While it still requires a 30 amp plug, the rating plate lists it at only using 14 amps compared to 28 amps listed on my old dryer. I have yet to receive an electric bill since using this unit, but the lower amp rating alone tells me it's much more efficient. The controls are very intuitive; you simply select a cycle, adjust the dryness level and start it. It has both automatic sensing cycles as well as manually timed cycles. I've found the sensing cycles work perfectly. When done, clothes come out fluffy and dry. The drum is stainless steel and has an led light which gives the interior a nice, upscale look. Also, it has a large 7.3 cubic foot drum which is nearly the same size as a typical dryer. Overall, I am very impressed with this dryer and hope it bodes well for the future of heat pump technology in dryers. In short, if you live in a place that has poor venting for your dryer(mine piped the exhaust up 2 stories and through the roof) or you can't vent a dryer at all, THIS IS THE DRYER FOR YOU! Also, if you are energy conscious; this is a much more efficient dryer than a traditional vented model as well as the condensing vent less dryers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer a couple of months ago, and it has made our laundry days sooo much easier and convenient! For starters, I love the fact that this dryer is eco-friendly and very efficient. I live in a condominium where we have to share dryer and washer with the rest of the residents, which makes it extremely uncomfortable to do laundry, especially when other people are taking your clothes out of the dryer as soon as the cycle ends. This dryer is now in my utility closet IN my apartment, which solves that problem. The best part about this setup, is the fact that the dryer is ventless, and therefore can be placed anywhere you have an electrical outlet for your dryer. Before starting the dryer cycle, the only thing I have to do is put the small condensation hose in a basin on top of the dryer, so the extra water generated from the heat just pours into the basin, and then I dump it out in my kitchen sink. The clothes come out warm and dried just right, and I love that this dryer has sensing technology, so it does not overdry your clothes, thus preventing damage to the fibers. I'm in love with my new dryer!

Read about this dryer in a trade journal for architects and was intrigued by energy efficiency ratings. The ventless feature was another selling point for me. I purchased it as a pair with the duet steam washer and I couldnt be more pleased. Large capacity has my wash finished in less than half the time of my previous w/d pair. Easily fits king sized comforters, large slipcovers, etc. Lots of cycle options and ability to customize settings. Does tend to under dry loads but this is easily eliminated by tweaking the settings. There is some heat put out into the room, but nothing like my previous dryer. The purchase experience at out local home depot was excellent. I initially attempted to purchase this online, but had difficulty getting the online order to take my credit card info and the purchase failed. When I went to process the order again it was no longer on sale. Our local store agreed to sell the pair to me for the sale price. This saved me about a $1000. Havent run the pair long enough to know what the impact is on our utility bill but I know that I dont spend anywhere near as much time running these machines as I did running my previous washer and dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased this dryer along with a Duet washer. I just love the set. The ventless dryer was installed in the basement of my condo. Rules make it very difficult to get permission to vent outdoors thru an exterior wall. This dryer is a dream come true. The options are very clear & the drying time slightly longer than my old dryer but a full load of heavy towels dried in about 60 minutes. The lent traps (2) are easy to open & clean. The drain is hooked up to the same drain pipe as the washer..perfect! Expensive, but perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bough this dryer about a month ago and am very happy with it. The dryer is in the basement with no vent to outside. I have a cleaner basement and much less humidity.

The drum is big enough for a comforter. Ventless is great ! Our clothes don't take any longer to dry than in our old Maytag. We use the econo setting-we get about 1 gal of water per 2 loads & water our outdoor plants with it. Have had it 2 days but have dried 5 loads of laundry.(including towels & jeans). Love not having that hole in the wall ! Wish it would have been less $$ comparable to conventional Hybid.We got it on sale so the value was quite a bit less than than normal price point.

I clean out the filter during the drying cycle if I have a full load of towels, and the drying time is shorter than it was with our old dryer. We have it in a closet and I do recommend leaving the doors open so the heat is not building up. It is insignificantly louder than my old dryer but totally acceptable.

The machine itself is working well so far. A great solution for us, as we have no way to vent a dryer on the second floor of our 140 year old brick home. The machine seems efficient, though we have only had it a short time. As others have said the hybrid filter seems flimsy and needs cleaned weekly. We had problems with two machines that were delivered but I think it was the delivery team that was at fault for not installing the door properly and breaking the hose on the back of the machine. Horrible experience with customer service, nobody wanted to take responsibility. It took over 2 months to get a working machine. We also ended up having to pay for two dryer vents, which were not needed for the ventless dryer. Tried to return them online and in store and neither would take back the vents. Hopefully others have better luck with customer service.

I'M SURPRISED WITH THIS DRYER, VENT-LESS AND DRYING TIME IS LESS THEN MY OLD VENTED DRYER...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a little over a month ago and we have been pleased with its performance from day one. It is quiet and we love not having all the heat generated by conventional dryers. It works well. Our only complaint is that the door to the bottom filter does not want to shut. That is a minor issue but one that gets on my nerves. Overall the dryer works up to our expectations during this first month which is a small sample. We look forward to years of good performance because is was quite expensive. There is something to be said for the piece of mind of avoiding lint fires in the vents of conventional dryers.

TO :Dry as a Bone- 3 prong cord works grea-220v as most electric dryers are. Not 130v as you said in your review. Now that's out of the way-this is a great dryer. Works very well and is less costly to run. If you have a 3 prong dryer wire and a 3 prong plug in now, you do not have to change to a 4 prong as some have said. 4 prong is normally used in mobile homes. The fourth wire is a 2nd ground.

the dryer so far is just what I wanted. A dust free environment. Very efficient.I have my concerns though as to how it will hold up over time. Hope the engineering was done right

I live in a condo that does not allow external vents so the dryer exhaust comes into the condo. I tried many filters that did not work so I had lint all over the condo. This dryer works very well and I am very pleased. Recommended it to the other condo owners. None of us were aware that this existed. I can breathe better and the condo is cleaner.
