I have had this cooktop for over a year now. The control knobs are terrible. Two of them just spin around as they are cheap plastic and they cracked very quickly and I have put duct tape around the stem to try and make them sit tight again. The burners are too close together so its difficult to have a large pan on back and even a medium to small at front, so it made the pan touch the control knob and melted it a little too.

Do not believe the responses associated to promotion. Terrible cooktop that does not heat anything based on grates being too high. Does not boil water and when using wok to make quick stir fry, let’s just say nothing quick about it. More of a stir steam. Upset I spent the money to convert from electric to gas and now stuck currently with this unusable cook top. Perhaps if there are other grates that are compatible getting pan closer to flame this thing might have a chance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this stove top except for the top grating - it slides off very easy. The little bumps that hold the grating on are too little. If it had a better way of holding the top grating on the stove top - it would be a great.

Very easy to put in, it looks great and is a great value. Easy to clean and it doesn't eliminate any counter space since it is a flat surface rather than individual burners. We are very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] if you touch the knobs accidently they will ignite. this is dangerous. use to have to push the knob down and turn to activate the gas. now you just turn the knob. if you aren't paying attention, you could turn on an extra burner without knowing it. the hood is way to high. doesn't take anything out. stainless steel is difficult to clean. use soap and water to clean then u have to use windex to make it look nice.

This is my second Whirlpool cooktop, purchased from Home Depot not a lot of choices. The speed burner was not available there, so I purchased the 4 burner stove. Only plus it does clean up really nice, but its odd shape does not seem to work for me. I cook a lot and my cookware doesn't fit on the burner very well. Not very happy with it, wish I had chosen another model. Oh well will just have to live with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range top is a perfect replacement! I read reviews about the grate being too far away from the burner, but I have not had a problem yet. Water boils much faster for spaghetti now! I did adjust the burner flame. It did take some adjustments compared to my old range top. I used to heat up soup on my old range top on medium and I could leave it for 20-30 minutes. Now though, soup will heat up in 5-10 minutes. So now I don't take a break when something is on the burner. Instead, I prepare other parts of my meal, and by the time I'm done with that, my soup is done!
