Poor Quality
The slide when I bought my gorilla playset was much heavier and better quality. This is no better than a slide half the price at your local home-improvement store. Very disappointed.

I recently purchased the 5ft yellow turbo tube slide after much research of the different slides that were out there. After reading the reviews I was curious as to how difficult it was going to be to put together. Some of the reviews made it seems like a nightmare, and others made it seem like it wouldn't be that bad. Overall it took about 2 hours to fully assemble the slide. There were a few holes that didn't want to line up exactly but I just reamed the holes out a little with a drill bit and no problems. Once assembled, attaching the slide to the play set was definitely a 2 person job. One person is needed to hold the slide in place while the other attaches it with lag bolts. Once you get two lag bolts in place, the additional person isn't needed. Overall start to finish, I would say it takes about 4-5 hours from box to being ready to use. The kids love the slide and it is stable enough that me and my wife have both gone down it without any problems. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.

Seemed like it took forever to put it(the slide together). But went together without much issue. A lot of screws and washers to install. Just time consuming. The kids cant get enough of it. 2-2 1\2 and a 3 1\2 year old enjoy it!

The pre-drilled holes did NOT line up and the directions are horrible. The slide parts are not numbered so you had to see what ends matched up the best and the ones that didn’t we had to create new holes. It was like putting together a puzzle without all the pieces.

Excellent product for home use. Directions are easy to follow but read carefully when aligning sections. FYI tip as you are putting sections together put all bolts and nuts in loosely so you can adjust hole alignment where sections meet.

Nice
We put solar string lights in it. Looks awesome , I love it but the kids played more with the box it came in than the slide so far.

The wood was labeled correctly, but a few were not measured correctly. Some were off by 1/16", so it was difficult lining the holes with the slide overall very happy with the slide!

Extra purchase of wood required. Overall, the slide is excellent, and instructions are easy to follow. The biggest "con" is that I was unaware of extra wood that needed to be purchased to build supports for the slide.
I was replacing a slide on an existing Cedar-Summit playset that came with a house that we purchased. I needed to purchase extra wood to make the new slide fit to specifications, so it wasn't a big deal. The surprise, however, was somewhat unwelcome.
My kids love the new slide, and are extremely satisfied with the purchase.

While I think this would be a great product, I can't officially say I'd recommend it because we returned it. It was going to be too much work to try to fit to our existing play set. We would have had to cut a board on our existing set as well as add a support beam. The added cross bar recommended, would have been in the way of the picnic bench we have on the play set. Too bad, because I know it would be a fun slide!

The kids love it!
A pain to put together, need 2 people, but now that it's done, the kids love it! Seems to be good quality. It's more for smaller kids. We have had our 13 and 15 year old go down it, but it's not meant for kids that big.

The directions are terrible. Completely backwards. Made it work, to much trouble to send back!

Still not finished with assembly...
after reading many reviews about how the holes don't line up, I thought I was experienced enough to manage some adjustments, but a month later, it is still sitting in two pieces waiting for an "expert" Grandpa to come help. Minor misalignments could be corrected with shaving both sides of the holes but there are some pieces that are almost an inch apart. Very disappointed, the only reason I didn't send it back was because the hassle would be even MORE work. Kids are playing with the pieces like hermit shell crabs.

Good product
Slide assembly was straightforward, easiest to use a spike to align the next hole, the only problem was the lower support bracket. After installing the 2X4 support as described in the instructions, the bracket wouldn't set level on it, so I removed the 2X4 cut it at a new angle and reinstalled it so the lower support bracket would sit flush on it. The grandkids love it!

Performed as advertised, however, assembly is a challenge.
With over 100 bolts holding the segments together, many may find assembly a challenge, especially since the segments will have become distorted in shipping. A tapered punch or drift and a locking clamp helps in aligning the bolt holes. Also, some additional trimming of bolting flanges will be required for a proper fit. However, once assembled and mounted, the slide performed as advertised.

Turbo Tube Slide
Overall the slide was a good value for the cost. My only complaint was the assembly process, I found that the instructions were a bit difficult to understand. It would make it much easier if all the plastic parts were marked in a way that when assembling it would be impossible to make any mistake.

It's great and the kid's love it. Installation is not trivial.
This is a great slide and the children and their friends all love it. It seems reasonably sturdy. I went down it at 175lb and it's still hanging. It does move and shake a bit when kids go down it, so it isn't rock solid like the slides you see at the public playgrounds. I am very happy that I bought this slide and spent the time to install it.
The setup is a royal pain. It isn't technically challenging, it's just a lot of bolts that take a long time to put together and I found the pieces to be a bit unwieldy when I started putting the entire thing together. I had to use a tremendous amount of finger and wrist force to muscle the plastic into shape for some of the bolts. I developed tennis elbow from the assembly.
You can put nearly the entire thing together by yourself, but lifting it into place for the final mounting to the playset requires two people. I tried doing it myself, but I couldn't figure out a way to do it solo.
In other reviews on other popular online sites many people complain of the instructions being terrible. Because of this I got myself familiar with the instructions and installation prior to it arriving. There are some details in the instructions that are difficult but for the most part it is reasonably straight forward. The hardest part that I found was when doing the second phase of bolting the pieces together, when connecting the entry portion to the first of the bend pieces it says to match up the bevels which should be a twist to the right of two bolts. The bevels aren't in the right place so you really have to fight it to get those pieces together. I spent a lot of time trying different orientations (yes.. all of those bolts) and turning two bolts to the right is correct, even if the bevels do not line up. The final part of the instructions that weren't very clear is where to mount the metal brace and the orientation to mount it in. I can't really describe it here, but I can tell you it does go on the exit assembly and to look for the slight curve in the metal and align that to the plastic.
I also share concerns that the plastic might not hold up over time. It is sturdy now, but it feels like something that is going to break after weathering. Only time will tell and we've only had ours up for a week.
Other thoughts:
It comes in an 82lb box. The UPS guy might be able to muscle it through your front door, but what are you doing to do after he sets it down?

Well worth the money
The slide is quite sturdy once it is put together and braced. I put it together by myself in about an hour and a half. I recommend that you have another person there to help when it is time to mount the slide to the play set

the kids love the slide.
It wasn't that hard to install even as it was snowing. We were able to put most of it together inside then brought it out and put the last two pieces together. It was actually easier to align the holes when child than when warm. I hadto readjust the last section in this picture.

nice slide
took most of the day to put up, but seems sturdy. needed extra wood for bracing. seam at top of slide is a little soft, but hoping it'll hold up for a long time. our son is only 3. but mom has gone down with him and it seems ok. wish there were more slides available for a 5ft deck

so so quality
While this slide was quite sturdy once it was put together, the fit and finish was very poor. The plastic wasnt trimmed very well and the directions had the wrong dimensions on a support bar which required me to get creative later on(the directions had me put it too high).

Dissapointed
We were so excited to find an enclosed slide at an affordable price, but we were very dissapointed when we took it out to assemble it. The slide is in many pieces and many bolts. It took my husband 8hrs to assemble & attach to the playset, his fingers were numb by the time he finished. Once we had the slide up we noticed the slide had a hole in it & very thin spots in areas. The plastic doesn't seem too sturdy, but has hardened since being in the sun.

Great for the $
Adds great interest to playset at low cost compared to other similar products. The kids love it. Takes 2 people to set up properly. Seems pretty sturdy. Bolts/nuts are non-galvanized; could possibly rust in time, but so far, so good.
