5 ft. Green Turbo Tube Slide

The kids love it. After finally getting it assembled, ital seems quite sturdy and it'll probably last a long time. The instructions are lacking though. Considering there's approximately 150 bolts (and nuts and washers), you'd expect a bit more clarity and thought-out wording in the instructions. They're very vague and are more of just a reference than a guide.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Super Tube Slide because it was literally the only one I could get my hands on after 4 months of trying. It's definitely a good quality product, but it was monstrously difficult to put together, and I'm pretty good at this stuff (I was adding to my custom and homemade playset). The main problem is that many of the predrilled holes din't line up properly, and the material isn't flexible enough to manipulate to make the bolts fit easily (which of course is a good thing when it comes to the toughness and longevity of the product). It took an entire day and a lot of elbow grease and some creativity to make it all work. Now that it's together, it's wonderful, but beware that it won't be easy to get this up and running.

Lay the pieces in the sun to warm up to ease assembly (when possible) It adds flexibility to the clamshells. Insert 3 or 4 big phillips screwdrivers into the bolt holes when aligning clamshells, again to ease assembly. Well worth the effort, awesome slide that the grandkids can't stay out of. Mounted ours to the DECK, guests laugh when they see it. Too fun

The product itself seems really rugged and sturdy. I can't wait to put it together. It did not come with instructions. So I am trying to reach out to Homedepot to get a copy of instructions. Hopefully I will hear from them otherwise this slide will be useless

Let's start with assembly. Those that mentioned it took 8 hours to assemble must have been doing something wrong. It took me 2 hours and that was with some difficult alignment. Yes you will need to get creative with some of the bolt holes. But overall it was not to hatefull. I assembled it a little different from the directions. I assembled and mounted the collar to the playset and then assembled each elbow individually. I then mounted them one by one on the playset. Didn't have to use 2 people that way. As for some comments about the lower elbow bracket, read the directions. It isn't supposed to sit flush on top. it should have a gap on one end and sit at an angle. The back part that screws into the playset will draw in when you run the screws through and sit flush as required. You may need to do some trimming on some of the flanges to get the pieces to mate flush from section to section. Even with having to do all this I still did it in under 2 hours. I picked this thing up delivered free for $280 on sale. Well worth it. It sat for 6 months until I got around to installing it and when I finally opened the box..... no hardware. One call to Swing-n-Slide and they shipped all the hardware (and it was a lot) no questions asked within a few days. I spoke with a live human in the United states who was very helpful. Great customer service and once assembled the slide is solid. It holds my 200 lb frame with no problems.

Slide parts for tub all had to be forced into place during assembly, once it was mounted though it seems solid and the kids love it. given the low price I'd say I paid in labor for the savings probably but in the end I had more time than I did money for the project.

It was hard to find information when looking at slides online, but I'm glad we bough this one (despite the high shipping cost!). This slide is both fast (and therefore fun) and has a scoop at the end so my kids don't go flying off! Installation was reasonable and it is strong enough that adults can slide down it (I have!).
