The rolled metal on the stem is supposed to receive #3 bar for more strength. However, the rolling process has been done too tightly.

A must for my DIY project. Standing in confusion as to what I should use for stabilizing my post and beams. The best use and functional placement was the elevated post base. I did not want my post buried into the ground and the simple installment for my self poured and mixed concrete. This was a better choice for cost and effectiveness.
