It worked great, just as expected. Just remember to chamfer the ends of the pipe after you cut it. Burrs on the leading edge of the pipe can hang up onto the internal plastic parts and keep the parts from fitting properly. Also, make sure you insert the pipe to the proper depth as recommended. Improper insertion depth is a leading failure mode.

Expensive of course But effective

This has been in my basement exterior wall above the ceiling for two years now. No leaks or drips. I had to replace a valve for my sprinklers and rework the copper in the process. I couldn't solder without risking a fire or ripping out a 4'x4' section of wall and reframing it. It was nice of them to frame around the plumbing when they built it...not. This coupler saved me from having to redo the wall. It's overpriced IMO, but if you need it, you'll love it!

They work great on pex but not on copper!

These seem to always work and the price was great on the contractor pack.

Shark bits work great, just a quick sanding to remove burrs, push onto pipe and it's ready to use.

So easy to use. Great for emergency repairs.No need to dry out pipe like when using a soldered fitting. I hope its longevity is as god as its ease to use.

For the homeowner that doesn’t always want to hire a plumber for small repair jobs. This is the only way to go…I recommend everyone have a SharkBite in their home!

Slip joint worked, but did not "slip" as easily as advertised. Coupling was perfect.
