I have been very impressed by this vacuum cleaner. It was easy to put together out of the box. It has incredible suction. It was pulling up dust even after we had the carpets professionally cleaner. It is well designed and engineered to make it very easy to use. I like the fact that it has two power settings, one for floors and one for carpets. What is also nice is that if you have it on the carpet setting and push the handle to the upright most position, the beater brush shuts off, until you pull the handle down again. This is great if you are moving things while cleaning, you don't have the brush running on the same spot. I love the swivel head, it allows you to get just about anywhere with the upright. Emptying the canister is easy, though you may have to do it often as this thing picks up dirt that you didn't know you had. Definitely worth the money, even if it were not on sale. I have had a Kirby for years and really like it, but now the Kirby will stay in the closet. This does the job better and it lighter and more versatile. No bags to clear and the filters are easy to wash out.

Best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. I've owned them all, including the High Dollar Dysons. Highly recommend this vacuum.

Surprisingly strong, yet quiet suction with both wand & floor brush. It picked up substantial pet hair missed by two other vacuums tried first.Cheap (thin) plastic shell makes it lightweight but it feels flimsy (easily toppled over when using wand). This vacuum, with a separate, small, cordless, hand-held unit would be ideal. Also, a light for front of floor brush would be nice. Although it breaks apart to form a portable unit, the portable part is heavy and clumsy (but again has very strong suction). Bottom line: great vacuum but cheap build. For small home use, no problem - do not think it'd hold up to commercial or heavy use (which they agree with).

We have been looking for a new vacuum as our Eureka was broke by my heavy handedness. I grabbed the Shark today due to the online hype that they are supposed to be super duper and compare w/ the Dyson, which is also supposed to be whizbang. We got home, opened up the box and saw the Shark required plenty of assembly. After clicking and putting this puzzle together we promptly did some comparative cleaning. I cleaned one area rug w/ our 4 year old Eureka. We followed up w/ the Shark and found nothing substantial in the cup. The suction was about the same of our Eureka that I have had to tape up the hose. We went to one of our rooms that our super fluffy Malemute/German Shepard/Golden Retriever mix uses has his sleeping room. We vacuumed a single path wide, making several passes counting each pass. We gave each vacuum it's one working area so there was no overlap. When we were done the Eureka has significantly more hair and dust in vs the Shark. We then swapped over and the Shark didn't pick up any new dirt or hair from the Eureka path however the Eureka did pick up some more hair from the Shark path. It's not that the Shark wasn't working, it's just not $50-100 better suction power. The swivel function is nice BUT the cord is put away by a simple wrap tabs. The Eureka has the auto spool, it does add some bulk but it is a very convenient feature. It appears the Shark only provides it's best suction on the back stroke for some reason, my guess is there is no height adjustment thus causing the variation. If this was $75 or so then it would be worth it however my notes are this: -It appears the dust cup is smaller than the Eureka -The cord is put away by the wrap tabs. The Eureka and other companies now offer the auto spool. -Very gimmicky, in order to use the "lift away" option requires several parts being taken apart. Not worth it for us. -Smaller width so it will not cover the same sq footage in the same amount of strokes. -The suction is it's strongest on the back stroke. The Eureka can have the brush turn off w/ a foot pedal, the hose is the about the same length, the suction is as good or I believe it is a bit better and the brush path is wider and lastly, it is a lot less expensive. The Sharks works but it's not worth the upcost for a comparative Eureka or even a Bissell. My 2 cents.

This product is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I was shocked at the amount of dog hair that was hiding in my carpet and furniture!

Easy to assemble Engulfs almost everything whether stone or wood and cleans in no time. Simple to use. Happy with the product

Easy to use - light and narrow. Gets into areas my old cleaner struggled. Great suction - picked up a lot of dirt that's been dormant. Narrowness means more passes in open areas but worth it for the mobility and ability to get tight spots. Like how it clicks together.

A little confusing to assembly. Luv luv luv it .sucks great. Looks great for a vacuum. Luv the no maintenance and washable filters

This is my second Shark. The first is 10 years old and is still running. This is by far the best value for the money when it comes to vacuums. I didn't even give a thought to any other brand when I did my shopping. I was able to order it on-line and pick it up at Home Depot shortly after. Easy and convenient.

I absolutely love this vacuum! It's light and easy to maneuver. It swivels in whichever direction you want it to go, and you can remove the canister and carry It for jobs such as cleaning stairs. It also goes from my carpet floors to hardwood floors with amazing suction! I went on a cleaning spree with it, and used the wand and long hose to clean cob webs in the basement rafters, in the corners and cracks along running boards throughout the house, and clean out air vents with the brush attachment. I have to say, after much comparison and deliberation, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase! Well worth the money! Highly highly recommend!

Easy to assemble and operate. Have a large dog and a cat, the Shark Navigator picks up all the hair , no problem. I even enjoy cleaning now (sure that will not last, ha, ha). Since it swivels, you are able to get under chairs and tables without having to move anything.

So far we've had it for 3 months going on 4 months definitely better suction than the dirt devil!! . . . . Best vacum cleaner I've ever had!! My mother has one. My wife an I actually borrowed hers the week prior to getting ours. We cleaned our car with it. It picked all of the dog's hair, also got all the hard to reach areas like between the seats pretty amazed! And it's bagless you can't beat that !!

Absolutely love it! We had a $300 Kenmore for years that was nothing but trouble and so heavy. This one is so light, and I love the smaller body to fit around furniture. The lift away feature took a few tries. I wasn’t unwrapping the cord to remove the extension hose. Once I got it figured out, it was very easy. You won’t believe the amount of fine dirt that this picks up!

Beautiful, powerful vaccum. Everything is perfect and works perfect. Super happy with it. Love it! Had it a few weeks and its ahhhmazing!

it’s top-heavy falls over cheap design when you’re vacuuming the carpet it drags you across the floor if you want to use it other than steps lifting that tank is really heavy so you’re not going to easily do any high places ceilings or anything without a struggle b/c tank is heavy, wand is awkward & cheap. It’s just a big pile of crap. I’ll never stray again. I’m glad I got this on sale. Basically a waste of money.

Very light weight great product.

The suction is intense on the strongest setting, it makes it exhausting to operate but I had micro dust coming out of my carpet so it’s fine. I like the small size of the power head.It gets in tight places. Not crazy about is the vacuum lines. They look like the carpet was raked. I like that the canister can be removed and carried around. Super long cord!! Very lightweight and easy to use on stairs even without the roll brush part. Overall glad that I purchased it. Just have to get used to it.

The mechanics for emptying the canister are horrible. You get more dust on the floor than in the trash.

This was a quick buy. My shark that I have had for I know 10 years died. This doesn't have all the features the old one has, but it does a great job of picking up dirt!

Works like a dream. I bought for my daughter I tried hers and bought one for Meeee. I could not believe how much my vacuum was missing?. Great purchase and price.

I’m not sure where to replace the filters. I wish I would’ve got a cordless. The cord makes it hard to disassemble and use. I’ve only had it for about a week and I’ve used it twice. I like the fact that it doesn’t have a bag but it’s not that easy to clean. It does work well for the grooves in the sliding doors. The stick doesn’t extend far enough because I have very high ceilings so it doesn’t do what I need to, but I’ve already used it so I can’t return it. It didn’t quite meet my expectations and there’s no way you could see it out of the box in the store. You can no longer feel it, touch it, use it before you buy it. It makes it a risk and once you use it, it’s dirty to take it back, if I could take it back, I would . Some money back would be nice.
