Had it two days and it is absolutely gorgeous! This is a well designed 'fridge, and counter depth makes it look like a built in. The only negative so far is that the icemaker is weak. I am hoping that the icemaker will be better as it fills up over the next couple of days. However, I knew going in that the icemaker in this model did not get great reviews. That having been said, I review products extensively before I buy them, and this was by far the best counter depth french door refrigerator I found. I have come to rely on Samsung products, and am very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it!

Nice ref. and spacious freezer looks good too. Just bought it so I don't know if it will be as good as my old one that lasted me 25yrs, ( Amana). Time will tell.

Do not buy any Samsung. I purchased Samsung refrigerator in 2012 and it was the worse purchase I made with my house remodel. Short version is our floors are ruined and we are out $400 for a water filter housing replacement. They are no help or use in this situation and so I am making sure no one else makes same mistake. Overall, this refrigerator is easy to use, efficient, holds temperature well and has a very handy fourth door. We use the 4th door every day to get milk and cream. The LED lights make the interior bright. Compared to a side by side box, this one allows you to see everything and keeps food fresh. Unfortunately, the ice maker is in the refrigerator. This particular ice maker takes a great deal of space and SLOWLY disperses ice. We had ours for 18 months and had numerous repairs on the ice maker. Finally, Home Depot, gave up trying to fix it and paid us. I'm really sorry and don't know what model we are going to get to replace our box. Home Depot's extended warranty service was great. I wish I could get this model with water, but no ice maker! It is a bit of a pain to change the water filter, too, as Samsung wants you to turn the water off to the frig. What a pain! We change ours and just try to do it quickly. It's also hard to find the filter. I finally got one from one of the repair men who came to fix the ice maker. Don't try an after market brand of filter, as they don't seem to work.

This unit is very handsome and compliments our kitchen excellently. It is a very quiet unit. With the freezer on the bottom it is much more comfortable getting food from the refrigerator section, not having to bow down. With the glass shelves and various lights, it is easy to see everything in it. with the special door we can get condiments without opening the full doors. We are enjoying it very much.

First one ordered was delivered damaged, Samsung Customer Service took care of it right away and sent out a new one, while leaving the damaged unit as a loaner. I like all the features of this model and the looks are attractive. The easy access door is very nice to have. Only one drawback and that's ice maker capacity is pretty small, versus the dual ice-maker I had on a competitor's product previously. Over-all happy with the performance of this product and would buy again.

It will take some trial and error to get the most efficient use of the space in this refrigerator. Lots of shelf options and small spaces for little items. Best features are the outside control panel/water/ice dispenser and door within a door.

This fridge seems good enough. Seems kind of prone to picking up funky smells, but baking soda or coffee helps. I was initially incredibly happy with the purchasing and delivery process. That said, after a week- the handle came off - I was unable to fix myself and it took me many phone calls to get the installation company back out to fix it. I've also been unsuccessful after multiple attempts to reach a live human being at home depot to get some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and the time investment I've had to make in rectifying the issue.

Samsung nails it on the latest lines of metal cooling, French door/bottom freezer refrigerators. This was a a package deal with stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The promotion was irresistible, and I am so happy we jumped on the opportunity and best pricing we had seen for over a year. We've been seriously looking at this and similar lines, but always came back to the Samsung line. It's a beauty, and now we will remodel around the new Samsung appliances. Counter depth made this a perfect fit in our early 60's built home. Impressive combination of technology and style. The multi-zonal humidity controls and temperature ranges makes this a great means to organize and store all deli, produce, dairy, and various snacks - with plenty of room for everything. The only thing I would change would be the plastic door bin material/designs. One original bin (with movable stabilizer bar) was broken at the point of contact/pin. It was quickly replaced, but it seems the mechanism could be better designed, or the material used might need to be improved.

I have now had the fridge for a month and it's been great. Purchased it as a replacement for a bottom-freezer KitchenAid model that lacked an external water and ice dispenser that was 22.1 cu. ft. This one reportedly is only 22.5 cu. ft., but it seems to have at least 40% more room than my prior fridge. The freezer seems especially enormous now because the icemaker isn't taking up space. I would definitely buy it again. I was intrigued by the external door on this model and thought it might help conserve a little energy since half the time we open the fridge is to get milk, juice, soda, condiments, or butter, and all those easily fit in the door compartments. The external door works great and it seems pretty sturdy. I had a little concern it might be too flimsy and not stand-up to frequent usage and that the additional moving parts might be an extra potential failure point, but after multiple trips to the showrooms to check it out, I got sufficiently comfortable that it was substantial enough to last. It's been fine so far, but admittedly only one month of use. I like the brighter lighting and external controls for temp more than I thought I would. I read some reviews with negative comments about the level of noise and the size of the ice maker (and size of the ice cubes). None of those have been an issue. Indeed, the unit is noticeably quieter than our prior fridge, especially when making ice. I guess if you're trying to fill an ice chest/cooler or making multiple slushies or smoothies for the kids the size of the ice maker size might be an issue, but for everyday use it has been more than adequate and this is coming from a home in Texas with two teenage boys. I had been shopping for a number of months and comparing this model with a number of other models from other manufacturers with similar features. I finally chose this one during the Fourth of July sale, when the price for this counter-depth model fell to a level that was more like a standard-depth fridge.

EXTRA EXTRA read all about it! We were just delivered our beautiful food showcase refrigerator. We chose the counter depth model and looks absolutely beautiful! The fridge has clean lines, and is quiet. Many features with this model and the food showcase door is an asset. We absolutely love SAMSUNG products and so will you!

Bought this counter depth fridge through Home Depot. Delivery people almost failed to do the delivery because they claimed that Home Depot promised they would do things they do not do. The fridge works ok, but so far, after 24 hours, the ice maker has formed a total of 6 small ice cubes. We called Samsung and they told us to wait a little longer. I read elsewhere that the ice making capacity of this unit is poor. As of today, I agree. The E-Smart feature is complex and does not work.

This replaced a dodgy, ten-year-old Electrolux side-by-side that had really run its course for our growing family, and it is BEAUTIFUL. The design, the fit-and-finish, the space, the controls, all gorgeous and thoughtfully designed. I can't tell yet if the display case door is a great idea or just a gimmick, but at the very least it makes my guests go "oooooooooh," so I suppose it was worth the extra 200 bucks I paid for it. Long story short-- I'm quite happy with this purchase, EXCEPT... ...the ICE MAKER. A) always be suspicious of an ICE maker that goes in the REFRIGERATOR compartment B) the french door design of this means that the ice maker HAS to be unnaturally small, and C) the design of the ice maker itself is unnecessarily complicated. This is not a new technology, people! What's up with the "reset" button? What ice maker needs a reset button??? This one does, and that's just...weird. Make a long story short, my dodgy Electrolux, which is now in the hundred-degree garage, still makes better, and more, ice than this thing, and I find myself going to it for ice, all the time. This fridge is 90% there and, overall, I'm glad I bought it, and you will be, too. But if you find yourself needing a lot of ice, you might want to buy it in bags.

It took a little getting used to the fact I had the double door but I love it. I have not had any problems with it and I have had it a year so far. the only thing is I wish it made more ice.

The features are really what make this refrigerator different from the rest.

We bought this fridge in February, and had it delivered and installed in our home. We have been noticing the upper door was not installed quite straight, and was wondering why. After reading the installation manual and asking our contractor, we confirmed the door was not straight due to a missing part called "shim hinge middle", which should be inserted underneath the hinge of the door but was not installed by the delivery guy from home depot. We called Samsung to request this part, and after many calls and a lot of time waiting on the line and explaining to them, Samsung told us they cannot send us this missing part, because it's been already a few months. This is a very small thin part, cost only a few bucks. It's the delivery/installation guy's fault for not installing this part, and it's a huge waste of our time to find out the reason and talking to Samsung. Still, they refuse to send the missing part and completely leave us on our own. Now we just need to find out where to order this part and install it ourselves. Overall, we feel Samsung is quite irresponsible and cheap!

We owned this fridge for less then two weeks and it has a crazy sound like a leaf blower running inside the house. Samsung customer service is horrible to deal with! I would never buy this brand again!

We were kinda specific about the measurements of the refrigerator that was a french door one and also had some cool features as of this year.. this model came within our budget and was a counter depth one, has good amount of storage space, veggie and fruit trays separate to configure different humidity settings. The freezer section has two compartments which allows you to separate the frequently accessed vs occassional items. The door-in-door feature is the coolest. I do not have to open the full door and lose the chillness but can just open the door minimally to grab and go what i need.. the refrigerator is silent in functioning and the sides alone allow you to stick all the fav magnets you want .. the Esmart option allows you to connect from smartphone and chose some power features.. wish i was able to set the temperatures from the smartphone app .. in all am happy that this one has most of the features that we were looking for.. definitely recommend if you are looking for a decent french door config ..

We wanted a counter height French door with a bottom freezer and this fit our measurements and requirements perfectly. First off: We bought this fridge knowing that it doesn't produce much ice and planning on installing a separate ice maker in our bar. So for us it doesn't matter that much. If I've is essential for you, this will be an issue for you. I love the pass through door. It's so convenient. I put our regular morning drinks there to grab easily as well as regular use condiments. It's too soon to know if the energy savings are there but logic says it should be. The two shelves (1 that can be folded up and 1 that slides back) are very convenient to allow for taller items. The freezer drawer is really large and love it! Easy organization and tons of storage is great. Aside from ice production, there are a few cons. The left door storage is really minimal. You can put some thin items but not too many. We are getting condensation on the right door where it meets the left door. I don't know if it's a seal issue but I plan on having it checked out. This is a counter depth fridge. Don't anticipate a vast amount of storage, but it does allow for a good amount. Especially if you organize. All in all I really like the fridge and would recommend it.

It is a nice frig, but it being counter depth, it is smaller inside. Which is fine for us. But, I really don't like the ice that comes out of the ice maker.

Our 15 year old other premium brand finally gave up and we needed something fairly fast. I checked out ratings etc., and decided Samsung was the best choice for our home and budget. The 3 door model, counter depth, with the door in a door seemed like the perfect choice. Our local store did not have this model in stock but did in their warehouse. 24 hours later we had our new refrigerator. Although not set up completely by the delivery service, it was an easy matter. The quality and finish are of the uppermost detail as is the very thoughtful interior, plus the features and the quietness make this an ideal refrigerator for just about any household.

I chose to purchase this Samsung after doing a lot of comparison of features and reviews. Not just at Home Depot, but other stores. It seemed like the best choice, although there are other manufacturer models that are about the same. Shortly after it was installed, I noticed that it ran all the time - either the compressor, or some type of fan. First thing in the morning, at night, pretty much all the time. I called Samsung support, and they assured me there wasn't anything wrong. After having it run continuously for about a month, I called again. This time they suggested I un-plug it for a minute. This seemed to fix the problem! Then a few weeks later, we come back from an out of town trip - and find the freezer is frosted over. I had noticed it was, again, running all the time. Since then, I've called Samsung about 6 times, been lied to (they call it misunderstanding) and they have put a lot of effort into not resolving the problem. I finally persuaded someone to set-up a service call, and we shall see how that goes. At this point, I would prefer to simply return it for another manufacturer and never purchase another Samsung again.

Love the fridge but hate that the ice maker cannot keep up with the 3 people in the house, it is so slow and we have to buy ice!!! If I had known this I would have bought a different one...

Overall, I liked the product. Functional & effective.

Very pleased with performance so far. A little less storage but expected that from a counter depth. Lowered the value rating just a little because I don't think you should have to pay so much extra just to get a counter depth.

This is my second Samsung french door refrig/freezer. My first Samsung was conveyed in a real estate deal and I upgraded on my replacement with the door-in-door feature. This has to be one of the best features of this refrigerator! The ice maker does fine for our needs on a day to day basis, but you will need some help if you have guests or a larger household.
