The refrigerator came with two dents that we discovered the next day after taking the plastic off. We observed the damage on a Sunday, and your customer service line was unavailable, and I was told to call back during regular business hours. Please advise on how this damage can be rectified.

Cooling fan broke after 1.5 years
I loved this fridge until it started having problems. I've had fridges which lasted for 15 years with no problems. I now have to pay $425 to replace the cooling fan which broke down.

Wonderful Refrigerator!
My wife says this fridge must have been designed by a woman! She loves every feature and it's quiet operation. Our previous fridge (only 1 year old) moaned and groaned from the day we got it. Even though this is a 'smaller ' counter depth fridge, there is more usable interior space than in the old 26 cu. ft. fridge.

When the fridge was first installed, it made a very loud noise. This is widely known across the interwebs, and is due to a fan rubbing against another part; the particulars vary across Samsung fridges, but the common symptom is that the noise stops when the fridge is opened. For us the piece that you see in the back of the fridge was apparently screwed on too tight, leaving too little room for the fan. I took it all apart and put it back together and it all works very well now. I like the e-smart option, which allows me to monitor energy usage and change fridge settings from my phone when at home. Overall it's a very nice fridge! doesn't make enough ice for a party, but that's ok by me.

Great Features but...
Door handle on showcase side is loose. There is a lag between outer and inner door when opening the inner door. Still waiting for replacement part. Hope it works.

Working great so far, very nice and bright when you open the doors. The freezer handle is nice as my little ones don't pull it open they just lift the handle upwards but don't pull it open kind of a nice feature to deter kids from pulling it open at least till they figure it out. I like the middle shelf that folds under to create a spot for taller items beverage etc.

First refrigerator had big dent in door , had to...
First refrigerator had big dent in door , had to wait a week for replacement. Replacement arrived and discovered had blisters on door after unpacking. Called Home Depot to report, on hold forever. No one wants to help. Bought service plan for unit as well, what good if no service. Won't buy at HD.

So disappointed
I bought this fridge and loved it. the Showcase is awesome and I love the shelf that flips up for more room. However at 1 year and 1/2 the ice maker broke. Now after a year of trying to get it fixed the repair person has said there is nothing they can do. So I have a refrigerator that is 2 1/2 year that the ice maker does not work. So upsetting to say the least. The repair man also told me that they see this a lot in Samsung refrigerators. Samsung you might want to change the design of your ice makers. It sucks that I have to have a countertop ice maker which takes up space in my already small kitchen. Frustrating because I have all Samsung products in my kitchen.

Why did we choose this model?
We needed a counter depth style refriderater. We liked the design of this model and had to shop for one because of ice maker problems we previously experienced with another Samsung model.

MORE THAN EXPECTED
I have grown to enjoy Samsung's products, so when it was time for a new refrigerator, I did my home work and bought a Samsung. This model had everything I wanted in my kitchen, and none of what I didn't want. The ice maker and water dispensers work well, the showcase door is great, I don't have to let all the cold air out to grab a beverage. The surprise was that after I got it installed I learned that it had "SMART" features that I hadn't expected.
Everything is easy to use and understand, without all of the technical double talk that you can get reading an owners manual!

Two basic things that you will use every day do not work well. 1) filtered water - takes literally 10 times longer than it should. I just replaced the filter and I should have been able to fill 3 gallons in 6 minutes. Took me 10 minutes to do 1/2 gallon! 2) Ice dispenser - shoots all over the place. Have to cram your glass up to the dispenser and crouch down to make sure you have it perfectly positioned to minimize ice spray. Really? Can't i just place my glass there and get some ice?
My friend has the same fridge with the same complaints. He removed his filter because it is just too slow.

its been a month or so since i got my new samsung french door stainless steel refrig and i just love it! so much storage, quiet and keeps everthing fresh! plus its gorgeous in my new kitchen!

Samaung equals terrible customer service
The freezer part stoped working after 4 months, which was frustrating enough but samsung made it worse by making me jump through so mamy hoops for my warranty. They keep having you go to different departments and will not actually help. I will no longer buy samsung products.

So not happy with this refrigerator. I bought it to replace an LG refrigerator that I only had for 15 months (not under manufacturers warranty, but luckily I had bought Home Depot extended warranty. Biggest complaint is that I have water all over my kitchen floor all of the time. The water dispenser shoots back. If your container is not lined up correctly the water misses and goes all over. The area to catch the overflow water is bigger than the one on my previous LG but because you can see where the water dispenses, it was rarely an issue with that refrigerator. When the water hits and runs into the little catch area that is when the real issue occurs. The problem is the next time anyone opens that door the water flies all over the floor out of their little catch area. This is not a problem you can catch or know about until after you have purchased and installed the refrigerator so no returning and getting your money back. Samsung should stick with TV's-I don't know but I have heard they have good ones.

Great Counter-depth fridge
This was a great purchase and I am so glad we got the counter depth model instead of the regular one, since this fit in nicely.
Good performance and features and decent space with a huge freezer. The door-in-door is a great feature too.

Can not recommend
After 4 months (and nearly $3000) this fridge is dead.
Samsung sent out a tech-5 days after I reported unit not working. Tech says the compressor and evaporator are broken (after 14 weeks!?!). He needs to order parts and they will be in next week.
So I don't have a fridge -
What a waste of money. Wish I never bought this dud.
ps- when it did work the Ice maker was horrible

Nice Fridge
We had a much larger Samsung and had to downsize to the counter depth model for our new kitchen. While it's hard to adjust down, this fridge is much the same configuration as our old one, so that makes it a little better. We really like the lighting within the fridge and the front interface for water and ice is easy to use and understand. The only thing that's a little odd is the subtle noises that the fridge makes. I think it may be when it's filling the ice trays or something. You hear a little hum or something. Other than that, we like the fridge.

Good Refrigerator, But for a Few Things
We generally like this refrigerator overall, and especially like the quick access door, water dispenser (strong stream and easy to clean), and front control panel. Just a few things are disappointing or downright annoying: (1) ice maker periodically makes loud "knocks" that can be heard from elsewhere in our house, (2) crushed ice dispenser is very slow to dispense, (3) the slim wrap-around left door pockets are almost useless, and (4), the deli drawer cannot be accessed without fully opening both of the French doors.

MODERN
We only had it for less than a month but so far so good. We chose it because of the food showcase and of course the energy efficiency. When the delivery guy installed it, there was an error coming up on the screen and said that's the first time he encountered that code error and shouldn't be doing that. We had to call customer care and instructed us to just restore the setting. Other than that, it's all good and hopefully this refrigerator will last long.

Great for family of 4 who likes to eat fresh.
We fill ours with lots of fresh meat and produce and still have room for large dishes and bottles. Looks great, easy access to all stored items, quiet. Can't complain will purchase Sammy for our next appliance.

So Far...
We have only had this refrigerator since 12/07/16. So, so far it seems like it is running well. A little noisy at times and the doors are a little uneven and the showcase seems a little loose. But so far doing well. We will re-review in a few months.

A nice refrigerator/freezer. The counter depth makes it fit right into our slightly cramped kitchen. It is just the two of us usually, unless the grandkids come visit and bring their parents! :-) Even then, we have enough space.
I especially like the door-in-a-door. I like to drink a lot of milk and other beverages and I keep them on that door. I don't have to open the whole door and let all that cold air out to get a drink.
It seems to keep the temperature even in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments - no huge fluctuations. And the ice/water in the door works really well.

I have owned this fridge for about 7 months now and overall am fairly pleased with the purchase. One con is how loud it is. It's much louder than my 15 year old fridge (which we still have in our mud room for beverages) -- the constant loud humming is very noticeable. The other con is the water filter, which costs about $50 and has to be replaced every 6 months. Other than those two things, I have enjoyed this fridge thus far.

Nice Fridge...Could be better
I really like the space that this refrigerator affords, and the preview door is really a nice feature. You just need to get used to where to grab the handle :)
One of the problems in the design is that the vegetable drawer does not open fully unless the carrier is removed off of the side door. This is frustrating when I need to reach in to retrieve items that are in the back of the drawer.

Great counter-depth fridge that holds a lot
This fridge was easy to set up ( automatically chills down within 2 hours without having to do anything other than plugging it in) and allows one to see the food easily. I recycled my old side-by-side standard fridge that stuck out and this Samsung counter-depth seems to hold about as much without letting items get buried into the back of the fridge all while helping to make my kitchen look more spacious. It is easier to get wide items like frozen pizza into the freezer with this type. I like that the paddle one pushes for ice is stainless. The ice maker on this model may not make enough ice if one entertains or has a large family but i think it will be sufficient for me. The exterior stainless steel finish looks best if one uses tap water on a micro fiber cloth. So far, so good.
