I do not recommend! I bought two heaters and I had to return both for the same problem. The ignite did not work.

I purchased this heater because of the temperature dropping I needed heat in my shop quick. Well to begin with I had called someone to install it so it would be done right. When we got it out of the box it had no installation hardware like it was suppose to have. It has a 800 number to call or otherwise there would be problems. So I called and punched in the various numbers to get to Tech Support and Parts. I was told I was forth in the que. I waited and it got done to first in the que, this had been 45 minutes so far. Then the phone rang so I knew I was up, but instead it told me the mailbox was full and not accepting anymore messages. THIS WAS AFTER WAITING 45 MINUTES. I called back again it was 20 minute wait then it just hung up. Ths is a company that does not support its product, be extremely careful !!

The Ready Heater was an excellent choice for us. One of the main reasons we purchased it was because it has a blower that comes on automatically. It runs off of natural gas or propane. It was easy to install and the instructions are easy to understand. It works really good. If you have a older Dearborn gas heater this is an excellent choice for a replacement. I would recommend it highly. It works manually or you can set it to run automatically.

I've only had this heater for a month but it works well and the set up is quite easy. Just follow the well written instructions. We use natural gas at our house but it looks like it's not any harder for propane.

Once i got it working, heater worked like a charm, much better than the gas fireplace that i have. As far as reliability, I have yet to comment on that, as I normally do not have much faith in these heaters.
Some words of advice- the unit is shipped to work on LP.Getting to the screw to select NG is a little tedious ( you need to remove the panel where the logo is) Once you do that, it turns on and heats up in minutes.

Need a professional to install
I really wish they had explained online that it has to be installed by a professional. It requires parts that a basic homeowner can't find. Why wouldn't they include the required parts? Very disappointed. A 300.00 installation was really not in the budget.

Heats up fast!
Installed on the wall in a 15x15 insulated shed and it heats up fast! Got a month on a 20lb bottle and it keeps it above 50degrees all the time. Easy to use and setup. Great for the money.

Product was basically functional out of the box.
Suggestion: If the unit mounted on the wall, the switch for the blower is very difficult to access. Could switch be located on top?

Keep walking
My experience was not good. Pilot light would not lite. Gas pressure was good, when it did start it ran about 3 min and shut down. Several attempts with the same results. My advise turn around and walk away. Try another brand I did.

buy in person, not through internet
the first one I purchased had a cracked regulator. this replacement one was a return. it was not foam packed, it had a dent in the side of it and was partially disassembled. I would have returned this one as well, but I felt it was less hassle to reassemble it myself. I couldn't imagine what I would receive the next time

Poor quality
I ordered three of these and none would work right. The first one the igniter was not operable. Took it back to Home Depot and reordered. The second was obviously a returned product. It only had the fitted Styrofoam on the bottom and paper packing at the top. It was dented on the side but not from shipping and the printing on the dial was worn almost completely off and the retaining screws on the bottom panel were stripped out. Because the fan didn't work we returned it as well. The third one had no fitted Styrofoam at all, only packing paper. The regulator was defective on the third unit and both pilots would lite and stay on at the same time. Because the NG pilot was for a lower pressure the flame was about six inches long and was yellow. At this point I did not feel that I wanted another heater from the same company as I was not sure about the safety of the product. After three installs I will be getting another brand.

Good temp controlled space heater replacement
A good product but watch out when you connect the gas line. The fitting, supplied with the heater, looks like a 3/8" flare fitting but is not. The heater I received had been installed before, or attempted at least. The threads were stripped on the fitting since they tried to attach a flare connector to the heater fitting. You must use an adapter on the supplied fitting to convert it to a 3/8" flare. I made it work by using a file to clean up the stripped threads and then used an adapter for my gas line. If you do this, the rest of the install is no problem. DO NOT REMOVE THE PLASTIC PIECES IN THE GAS REGULATOR CONNECTORS.
I replaced a space heater that did not have a temperature control. I really like being able to set the temperature desired and forget it. The blower seldom comes on. Not sure why it is there.

Heater is great, fan is piece of garbage.
This heater was super easy to install. I love the thermostat function. It heats really well. However, the built-in fan that came with this unit is garbage. Within a week it was making a chirping noise and cutting in and out (and not from the automatic function). Tonight I noticed it is running but not pushing out any air at all. I have not even had this heater for a month, and haven't used it heavily. Also, within a couple of uses, at no higher than the 3 out of 5 setting, the black paint right in front of the heating elements has flaked in spots. This should have been painted with a high heat paint resistant to that. But since it's only on one small (about 1"x2") section and it has not progressed I will live with it. However I will be contacting the manufacturer about replacing the fan, which means more work for me.

Alternate heat source
This is a quick extra heat source, we needed it for our huge vaulted room. we had a gas pipe that was used as a fireplace unit so we tried this one but the only thing was that the internal fan would shut of the pilot, the manufacturer instructed us to contact the gas company for the increase of gas presser which we did and they said that there is plenty of pressure since the pilot flame was about 2"long. We still use it and have another fan at a different area which is fine. We can adjust the heat level. This unit can not have anything combustible in front of it. we had a hard time connecting the unit with the connection that was suggested by others. But we are still using this unit in spit of minus fan.

Not the best
Installation was quite easy. Does heat the house up quickly. However, the blower is extremely loud. Also, it has some type of awful smell. It isn't a gas leak, it is similar to a new electrical appliance smell. Although we have been using the heater for 5 days, the smell is very strong. Will have to send back. Can not stand the smell.

needs Better QC
I would recommend this only if QC is awake and on the job . I had to disassemble the heater to tighten the thermal couple at the temp. control at the top of the unit. You have to start the disassembly at bottom to get to the top . It would have been easy if the box was assembled using screws at the top instead of pop rivets . Just to tighten the fitting 3 turns took 2 1/2 Hr . Not a fun job.

efficient and user friendly, great features
Easy installation, if you are setting the heater on the floor it can be difficult to connect the hose (sharp angle). I have had the heater for about two months so it may be too early to judge, however I am hoping for a long relationship.

Silly buy due to reviews. Wonder how their heaters work now?
I bought one of these at Home Depot. I got it to my business, got it hooked up and fired it off right away. Worked fine. Next morning, it's cold and I went to fire off the heater and it refused to work. Tiny pilot flame that wouldn't light the heater. Took it back that night. Two hundred forty mile round trip for nothing. Chinese junk.
