by|Jan 26, 2020
A: Yes. It has a thermostat, its numbers 1-5 as opposed to temps. Depending on the size of the room you'll get used to what number equates to the temp you want.

Answer This Question
A: (As per the user’s manual) it is likely to emit some odor when new but will gradually dissipate over time. It took a few months for mine to stop - nothing to fret about
by|Nov 24, 2019
A: It emits fumes for the same reason that ANY fire does, when you burn something it leaves an odor.
Iv had one of these heaters for two years now and Iv found that if you leave an exhaust fan,
like the one in your kitchen over your stove on, it will greatly reduce the odor of the heater.
The odor is a little unpleasant but harmless.

A: Wall mount should be 3 silverfish parts. One, about the width of the unit mounts on the wall. The other two mount to the back of the unit and hang over the first.

Q:Can you switch from using ng and lp if i want to use either or.? Or once you choose the option your stuck with that fuel source

Answer This Question
A: Hello Manny and thanks for your question. You can switch. It has 2 inputs for either gas type. You would simply need to unhook NG (for example) and re-install to the LP gas input.
by|Jan 2, 2019
A: There are two 1/2-inch inlet ports, one for ng, one for lp. You chose one to attach your specific fuel source - the other is blocked internally. If you want to change fuel sources, you would have to re-plumb the inlet fuel source. So yes, you can change back and forth, but not without reconnecting the fuel source plumbing.

A: Correction - actually I think the fuel lines are 3/8-inch.
by|Jan 5, 2019
A: You can use either, all you need to do is switch where you connect.
There are two places to connect gas on the heater, one for ng and
one for lp
by|Jan 5, 2019
A: nope, you can go back and forth between the gases.
by|Jan 2, 2019
A: Keep your parts! You can switch and for the most part you are stuck, however, should you need to switch, the valve can be switched back and forth requiring several hours to make the change each time you choose to change. Special care needs to be made to clear the piping of any residue gas.

Q:Is the pilot light supposed to be so loud, it seems to be a little high
by|Nov 6, 2018

Answer This Question
A: I think I answered this question for some else before.
The pilot light is a gentle flame about 1 inch long, just long enough to heat the thermocouple.
If the pilot light sounds so loud that it prompts you to question it, say loud like a propane torch,
then that suggests you may have the heater connected with an improper regulator.
I would suggest verifying your connections and consulting with a professi8onal if required..
by|Jan 12, 2019
A: Yes, it does hiss; this is normal
by|Nov 6, 2018
A: A pilot light being 'loud'? That doesn't sound right to me.
The pilot light flame should be just large enough to cover the thermocouple.
Are you connected properly to a low pressure gas supply or a tank with the right regulator?
You maybe should contact an qualified technician.
An improper installation can be deadly. Play it safe, get some help.
by|Nov 7, 2018
A: The pilot makes a little noise... It burns about 1 1/2 inch long.
by|Nov 7, 2018
A: No, it should not be so loud at all times, occasionally it does but for only a few second, then it goes away. Check your gas line if anything inside obstruct the line. A 1 inch flame should be fine.

A: Yes, the heater is suitable for a garage of that size.

A: Yep

A: Yes, this same unit is in my basement. No car bon monoxide detectors have been going off. And provide plenty of heat.
by|Oct 25, 2018
A: It certainly has enough btu to do so; the only issue would be circulation of the heat as the fan In this unit never kicks on. I called tech support and was told the unit needs to get “really hot” before the fan is activated. My garage is 12 x 22 and heats up quickly and I have never had to turn it up full so perhaps it will for you. If needed, you could also set up your own small electric fan
by|Oct 23, 2018
A: Yes, it will work fine in a garage. I use mine in my living room.
