So far so good.

So far the heater is doing what it said it would do .

Heats up my basement very good. Keeps the first floor warm on the feet. My old one lasted about 15 years. It isn't automatic but has Low, Medium and High heat settings. Very easy to set up. Took 25 minutes to set up and running.

Flimsy ,face fell off as soon as i pulled it out of box screws are too short added my own face stays on now,easy to install it works okay, cheaply made get what pay for it

ALTHOUGH the add says no electricity needed HOW ARE YOU GOIN TA RUN THE BLOWER???

Very efficient heater, Only issue is at times when you are operating the blower with the heat and when the heat cuts off the blower will run for a little bit, which is normal, except it appears to cause a vacuum that pulls the pilot light up away from the thermo coupling and by doing so the pilot light will shut off. Not sure what may be causing this. Still very good heater.

Great price compared to my old empire. Easy to use. So far good and just in time for fall weather. The model advertised is not what I got, but the salesperson said the two panel unit is more up to date.

I have nothing good to say about this heater. It lasted us less than a year. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on this. Disappointed in Home Depot for selling such low quality items.

Heater works good, but the blower keeps putting the pilot light out .Why?

Missing pieces

Purchased this Unit, and After technician installed, every time it goes to the automatic fan option, the pilot light goes out, plus the fan dosen't go on. Actually, I don't know if the fan shuts off the pilot, or the pilot just goes off first. Had a pressure gauge installed also, which did not solve the problem. Any Ideas ???

I bought this unit for my laundry room. I even bought and installed the fan for this unit. By the way the fan does not come with this unit. The pilot would get blown out by the fan every time the radiant panels shut down because they reached the desired temperature. I contacted customer service/tech support and was told this is a known issue with this unit. They told me I had to have my gas company come out to check/adjust the gas flow output from my gas meter. I would have to pay for this out of my own pocket. If you install this unit don't get/use the fan and maybe you'll be okay.

This Reddy Heater made in the USA is a ventless type and works very well in our garage. Hooking it up was easy; it works on propane or natural gas and switching is easy. Fortunately, I have a plumber friend who installed the gas lines for me. Our only problem was the pilot kept going out and we had trouble lighting but my friend adjusted a set screw to correct this. I think the Factory should set this up better for users since I've seen a lot of comments from people having the same problem They actually returned the unit. The instructions are clear on how to adjust the pilots flow however a lot of people are reluctant to get inside the Heater to do this.

Pros: simple installation / really cranks the heat. Cons: emits an unpleasant odor (hoping it eventually burns off) and fan does'n't work in "auto" mode. Will call tech support.

Didn't stay lit with blower on !!

I bought this to heat my workshop because is says it supports Gas and LP. Catch is it does this via household hookup and I was wanting to utilize a propane bottle.

All complaints here of heater/pilots turning off are caused by a poorly engineered thermocouple placement. The vortex from the heater grid and the fan creating a suction as well at the heat grid causes the pilot to pull away from the thermocouple. The fix: loosen 2 screws on thermocouple clamp. Move thermocouple up 1/4 to 3/8 inch. Now the thermocouple will be in constant contact with the pilot flame. Great heater for my 33' 5th wheel toyhauler and more efficient than the factory heater.

The heater was very easy to set up.

THE UNIT HEATS THE AREA GREAT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE I HAVE TO RELIGHT THE PILOT. OVERALL INTALLATION WAS EASY.

Pilot turned on but the burner never turned on. The automatic shutoff feature never kicked in thus the gas kept leaking. This particular model did not have a thermostat. Item was returned for refund.

So I put this in my mud room that I have a second refrigerator in where I have no heat and would get down to 45 or 50 causing the freezer not to work right. This unit works great and keeps the space at about 61. The only thing is the blower that it came with doesn't really seem to move much air but it did cause the pilot light to blow out once. I have been using it without the blower and seems to work just as well.

Nice compact non vent heater. Only problem the unit was defective. The temp. In the room went up to 85 degrees. Unit didn't shut off. Had to rotate thermostats knob all the way down to shut off. Also the automatic fan would not come on when set on auto. Manuel worked but not the auto on off feature. So after all the work unpacking and hooking up I had to disconnect and repackage and return to store. Big pain doing so. Lots of work for nothing. Unit like this should have been checked before leaving factory. Poor quality control at best.

Great heater simple to install puts out immediate heat quite blower So far good value the money

Wasn't sure if this heater would heat up my front area basement in its entirety. But it did and I'm so happy thus far. Installation was easy for my husband just had to buy a few minor items. Overall, we are definitely happy and gonna get the bigger one next time for the other side of our basement .
