Works great when used correctly
Bought this to put up sheet rock on a remodel. First time using this type of tool and it took a few tries before it was working well. As others have said, if it's jamming, and not driving the screw into the sheet rock at the proper depth, it's probably an operator error. Found that if you try and push to hard, to soon, the tool won't work properly and will jam or not drive the screw in properly. So first squeeze the trigger, then push the drill in straight with not too much force. When setup right this thing puts the screws into the sheet rock at the ideal dept. Saved so much time. When you do mess up, get offline (angled), and the screw doesn't go in all the way, just break out a drill driver and drive the screw to the proper depth. No biggie. Once you get used to using it, it works great. As other have also said, getting into corners is tough but can be done. Just try to keep the tool straight, when driving in the screw, as it doesn't work well if the tool goes off at an angle or you push in before you pull the trigger.

      Skips too many screws
Screws are always jamming and not aligning properly. I found this frustrating. I was excited because I thought it would work flawlessly but I was wrong. It's a good idea but the accuracy match screw to driver is not there.

“When” it works, it Really speeds up the job. But we need to stop and clear jams, when the bit doesn’t turn so often it almost slows us down for the overall job

        Not useful
screws never would line up. you could only use it manually one screw at a time. I never write purely negative reviews. there's always something I can find that is redeeming. but not this tool. it was a complete waste of time. I hope they rework it so Ridged can continue its quality reputation.

          Piece of trash
I bought this in a pinch because i ran out of bits for my senco gun. It pops about 75% of the screws out of the strip without loading. Why is it $100? Because it's trash

Ok for cheaper tool. Only sets one out of ten screws correctly. I need to follow with a regular drill with a sheet rock bit. I still speed up the process.

I really loved it once I had it in my hands. Until this moment I have used it yet, except to check it functioning for a few minutes, but I am 100% sure it is a great tool.

            Replacement drivers
If you buy the gun get a BUNCH of drivers with it. Been looking all over for replacement drivers and can't find them. Yes, they are special.

              Useless
Don’t waste your money... you’ll be fixing more half driven screws than actually drive to the desired depth.

                Favorably impressed!
This corded collated screwgun is one fine piece of equipment! The manual is fairly easy to understand and follow. The manual fails to show the difference between the drywall and wood nose pieces, but this is clarified in the single page instruction sheet that comes in the package. Either I got very lucky, or this is the first electrical tool I have ever purchased, that does not require setup (other than bit and screw loading). I used a scrap piece of drywall and a scrap piece of wood to screw it to, and the vast majority of the screws went it to the depth they needed to. It'll take a little more practice to gain proficiency, and I have yet to try the reverse setting. I may have to refer to the manual on that one! :) I will say that right out of the box, it works very well. Overall, I am very favorably impressed with this tool, and I expect to get a lot of use out of it this coming Spring, for fence rebuilding and replacement.

There is a very steep learning curve, as others have noted. Unfortunately, I destroyed the first bit, and had to order a new one. Screws are a little difficult to load, and the guard is cumbersome. Still, it makes installing deck boards much easier than just an impact drill.

Call it Bob Marley cause it keeps jammin.
This heavy, very loud (needed ear protection), cumbersome tool fails to drive more than 60% of the screws you feed through it. 60% perfect drive, 25% needs more tightening, 20% throws the screw on the ground, 15% the tool jams and you have to get a pair of pliers to fix it.
