Item did have some damage to underside of one shelf - box weighs approx. 100 pounds and the Styrofoam was actually crushed and broken. When put together the damage does not show. The bookcase looks good and of better quality than the material really is.

I moved into a new home and needed new shelving for my books and DVDs. To fit the space, I ordered a 24-inch and 36-inch shelf. They arrived quickly, were easy to assemble and look fantastic filled with media and small knick-knacks. Love it!

Installation most unsatisfactory - kept falling apart as we were putting it together and finished product is not sturdy.

Not too difficult to put together. Whoever wrote the directions actually did a nice job. Easy to understand. Bookcase looks good. One of the lock bolts broke as I was turning it. Perhaps I put too much force into it. Otherwise nice product.

This bookcase is quite sturdy and much more stylish than a similar product from Ikea that costs half as much. It arrived with some minor damage that I was able to repair with wood glue, clamps and paint. Another furniture product I purchased directly from Home Decorators was also damaged during shipment.

I have a home office and this is perfect i can a nice look without giving up function i have the entire collection and love it

I was very surprised with how easy it was to put together and the quality. My only complaint was that I needed a extra part and it took a long while to get in. I needed 2 small 3 shelf bookcases but I could not find a 3 shelf bookcase in the width I wanted. I took a 6 shelf bookcase and cut it in half. I needed a extra top so they would be symmetrical.

Just what I needed, easy to put together and looks great.

This item was very well packed. No chipped corners. The pieces were well marked and the instructions clear and easy to understand. It went together in about one hour. I would recommend that they add furniture glides to the packaging.

This piece has the quality and look of a furniture piece. I bought it as a storage closet organizer for a utility closet,but in belongs in a room for displaying books or treasurers.

I purchased this bookcase to display books and small items in my formal living room. Delivery was fast, and the pieces all arrived in perfect condition. Assembly took about 20 minutes with two people. I did find that you had to be very careful when screwing in the screws, as the very first one that I put in fractured the manufactured wood. Thankfully it was on a non-visible portion of the bookshelf. All in all, it is a very nice looking and sturdy piece, especially when it has been mounted to the wall using the included mounting attachment. I would recommend this bookshelf for anyone looking for a nice basic display piece.

Instructions were easy to understand and I was able to assemble it without my husbands help in about an hour. Everything went together just fine and it is a nice, solid piece. The back center bar really provides some good structure that other ready to assemble pieces usually don't have. Looks very nice.

It looks nice. This bookshelf is better than the others out there for the money. (Meaning others that are also NOT 100% solid wood construction.) It's simple to assemble if you've used a cam lock before. Just make sure when you put the back on you pay attention to both the arrows and the pre-drilled holes. I have also purchased 7 other pieces from the Oxford collection and have been happy with them as well. I've had them all for a year and a half. I have ordered two different finishes and both are nice. This was a bit more difficult size to find and it was exactly what I was looking for. And in my past experiences, if you have problems, not what you expected, etc, customer service is great!

The durability and look of the bookshelf seems fine. However, my husband and his friend had a very difficult time putting it together and had to force some parts together resulting in small cracks in two pieces. These cracks cannot be seen from the front so I plan to keep the bookshelf since it would be difficult to return now. I also found the photo in the add misleading since the unit is smaller than the image displayed.

We purchased this bookshelf because it matched our existing decor and would fit between a closet and an entry door nicely. The bookshelf is solidly built, came well packaged, and was easy to put together following the provided instructions. I really liked that the holes on the rear of the shelf (where you attach the back panel) were pre-drilled, removing all the guess work in that part of the assembly. We have loaded the shelf up with books and it seems very sturdy.

I was really pleased with the overall look as well as the quality. It is really sturdy when assembled. For the price it is perfect!

Bought 2 in white. Look great and function well. Up close, there are cracks in the wood supports and scratches on the edges of the shelves. Hoping these last through the years...

This bookcase I ordered was the easiest item I have ever out together. By myself in under 45 minutes. Looks great and is very functional!

Got 5 of these to put in a row underneath a line of windows in our garden-level den. Perfect fit! These were very easy to put together, 1/2 hour each. The depth is nice, we can put 2 layers of paperbacks in (we have a lot of books). I think the quality is very high for DIY furniture, feels very solid and went together well. Looks great.

My friend recommended this bookshelf to me, and I love the look! My only complaint is that there was a crack in the molding. It worked out that if was on the back part and is not extremely visible. Originally my husband and I worried that the structural integrity may be compromised, but are confident it wasn't. (We are using it in our baby's room, so trust me, we analyzed it thoroughly!) I would totally buy this again in a heartbeat.

This was a great find. I needed an odd size to fit into a small room. I was so glad the Home Depot website listed so many different sized bookshelves. It was simple for me to put together by myself and nicely finished. It took about 40 minutes.

I'm very happy with my purchase. The chestnut color is great. The shelves were very well packed and were extremely easy to put together (even for one person).

The white is very attractive. The shelves are fully removable so you can adjust the height to what you need. The depth is deeper than I expected.

For the price, I don't think you can beat it. Easier put together with an electric driver.
