My NewAir made ice but would not make ice continuously. It worked great at first. When I attempted to use the 1 year warranty, I was informed that it needed a new electronic board. I was told they would ship one and given instructions to replace it I was told to take a picture of all the leads to make sure I put it back together correctly. The board is inverted making it very difficult to reinstall if you are not familiar with the unit or an electrical engineer. After replacement, the unit still l did not work properly. I then was given a replacement that did not make ice, supposedly, due to a malfunctioning compressor. My guess, since is was now past the warranty, they sent me a faulty unit. I wish I had my original unit back. At least it worked even though I had to restart it every 50 minutes. They offered me 20% off a new unit....WOW! My recommendation is to do like I did. My new ice maker never fails and makes larger ice cubes that are clearer than that from my NewAir.

After placing my order Sunday night, I received the machine on Tuesday am!! Machine comes laying on its side, so you MUST follow directions or it'll not work or if it does it'll probably shorten the life of the machine according to instructions. I left it sitting upright for 2 hrs after unpacking without turning it on. I then ran 1 part vinegar and 1 part water n did the self cleaning once, second time I did same quantity but with lemon juice n water. I drained the water out, then I plugged it in, 1st time it takes about 15 mins to get the 1st ice batch in but after that every 7 mins I had 12 ice cubes!! I threw away the 1st full basket to make sure I got rid of vinegar/lemon taste and cause I had used faucet water. After that I've been using bottle water, ice taste great! Better taste than the one from my refrigerator (even tho it has a $65 filter, a joke!) and also better than the store bought. I've been making and storing the ice in ziploc bags, once frozen unlike the store bought, this ice comes apart easily after a small tap. NO more ice cubes stuck together or having to slammed the bag to get them loose! The machine is NOT noisy at all, contrary to what some pp said here it's very quiet, all you'll hear its the ice dropping. It that bothers you, don't have it working at night. Because I don't have the space to have it sitting next to the sink, I went to home depot n bought a plastic water line for $5 so when it comes time to clean it/drain the water all I'd have to do its to put a bucket under to drain it. Love the self cleaning feature, control panel easy to use and read. I'm very happy with with my purchase and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to everyone. Great quality and excellent price. Very easy to follow instructions. Not happy about it: *Backlight doesn't stay on. *Below the lid, the machine comes wrapped around with protective film, but the top lid doesn't and has minor scratches. ----------------------- Reading other reviews here, I can tell that those pp that can't get the machine to work for them it's because they didn't follow the set up instructions. There's a difference between the small size

My ice maker arrived on the scheduled date. Before making ice I ran the “clean cycle” with a vinegar/water mix and twice with just water. The first batch of cubes took about 7/8 minutes and was perfect. It has been working flawlessly and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It will be splitting it’s time between my basement bar and our boat.

USED THIS PRODUCT 3 TIMES and it stopped working!! I may have had a defective one and because its a year past the purchase date I cant get another one or a refund.

Bought 8/2023 and worked great until 2/2024. Now everytime it cycles it pours water on my counter. Cannot use any more.

After a little over a year of purchasing the ive machine the company wouldn't replace my unit all they would do is give me 40% off a new one. Why would I buy another one when the problem that I'm having wasn't my fault of mis use. The water hose on the inside is leaking when filling up the basket with water so it's a fast leak. I now have it on my table with a towel underneath the machine. Never again I will be buying from this company

This is our third one that we have gotten. I love having ice all the time.

This is a horrible company. The unit worked for 24 hours then quit. The warranty people of this company do not return calls. they are dishonest and tell customers to cut the popwer cord and if you do they will not honor their warranty.

Works well makes ice fast A little noise but that is only for a little while

So far we have been very happy with it. We use lots of ice so when our old ice maker broke we scrambled to replace it and it has absolutely done an A+ job!

The ice maker only lasted 4 months. I still have not heard back from newair about the warranty. It was my understanding that there was a 1 year warranty. I would not purchase this product again and would not recommend it either

Doesn't keep ice totally frozen so the ice ends up sticking together.

I bought this product used and it did not have the drain plug or cap. I ordered the plug thinking it came with the cap, but it did not. They sent me a cap free of charge! Great customer service!

I work as a school nurse in a very busy middle school. I use the ice machine all day long to make ice packs for my students when they have injuries in addition to making cold drinks throughout the day. This ice machine makes three different sizes and the ice is always perfect! It makes ice throughout the day and I set my timer for it to make fresh ice before I come in the next morning. Easy to clean and easy to use!

My second unit like this. Pretty quite and very quick

This product was for personal and family use. The produced made three different ice cube sizes and was a fast ice marker. What I did not like is after 32 or more days the ice maker stop working properly. Overall this was a good product for those searching for a ice maker that can produce at least 50lbs or more.

This is our 2nd Newair ice maker. We bought the first one used and had it for multiple years so when it finally died we purchased a new one. It makes ice really quickly, it's easy to clean and customer service is great.

I use them for parties and just to have ice for everyday use .i had 4 of them 1 at a time the flap that picks ice up to drop in tray has broken 1 little part that holds them on breaks and then the machine is not going to work
