Good Grief, the inside of this washing machine is huge! It looks like you could put several sleeping bags in there and still have room left over. I don't have the capabilities, but for those people that do, their app makes it possible to control the machine remotely and also troublehoot repair issues. The machine has a dispenser drawer at the back top of the washer for detergent and fabric softener but there's also a little built-faucet that you push the button and can get water at any time. It's really weird to have a washer that doesn't have an agitator but has an impeller. So far the laundry that I have run has come out clean and not as wrinkled as it did with the agitator washer. I'm still having a learning curve here as there are so many different cycles, water temperature and water level choices to choose from. I don't quite get why it has a glass lid as once the laundry is running the lid gets all steamed up and you really can't see inside until the water cools down. The one thing that I wasn't too happy about was the fact that the drain hose was too short and I had to purchase an extension hose so it would reach to the standpipe. The washer does run for a longer time than my previous washer but it is very quiet. They offer a very generous warranty and if this machine holds up as well as my other Maytag appliances I will be very pleased. The locking lid is a rather frustrating/nuisance feature as I do dye fabrics and clothes in my washing machine. It would be nice to have an override for this feature so that the lid could be opened when the machine is agitating to be able to check on the materials and make sure the water is at the correct temperature. Also, because the drum is so big, if you are a shorter person you might not be able to reach all the way down to the bottom of the drum. I'm 5' 5" and can just make it down to the bottom of the drum to retrieve items.

This Maytag 5.2 cu. ft. Smart Capable White Top Load Washing Machine with Extra Power Button, ENERGY STAR is just pure awesomeness! Maytag sent their own delivery service out to deliver it. They offered to install it for me, but I needed to move some things around in my basement and get my old washer out of the way, so I just asked the delivery guys to drop it off in my driveway, and then I moved it into the basement. It really isn't heavy, and I managed it on a light-weight dolly by myself. Maytag even included a new pair of water supply hoses with it, which I appreciated. This thing is gorgeous! I love the smoky clear top lid, and the full-sized agitator. My wife loves the laundry detergent/softener drawer thing too. It has all the features we want, and then some! Registering the warranty is super simple too! Just take a photo of the symbol and number on the registration card, and send the photo by text message to the number provided, and finish by filling out your name and address, etc. on their website, and you are done! Very cool! With a 10-Year Warranty, and a remote control app on your smart phone, what is not to love! Thanks Maytag, and Home Depot!!

Maytag makes an excellent energy efficient product. This 5.3 cubic ft. top load glass lid washing machine weights about 139lbs and measures 48.88" H x 27.25" W x 27.88" D, with lid open 58.5" H. Note: this is an impeller washing machine, it does not use an agitator. This washing machine features 12 preset dial settings plus a clean washer setting. The digital display features multiple languages, auto load detection, and water pressure sensing. There are nine buttons, each have their own sub-settings. Cycle times may differ depending on several factors, weight, size, water pressure and load balancing. Also available under settings there are four water levels, auto, medium, high and max fill. As well, you can add water to your load by using the manual water faucet button, which has an auto shutoff once the max water level is reached. Because this machine uses an impeller you don't need large amounts of water to clean your clothes as with the agitator style washing machine. Some cycles support the extra power feature, which increases cleaning power for extra stain fighting (The dial will illuminate when available). As a safety feature the machine has an auto lid lock once the cycle starts. The unit has adjustable legs for leveling, which have rubber pads to help prevent machine walk. The machine also comes with all hoses including the drain hose. It's wifi capable and works with Alexa, Google, Google Assistant, Proprietary App, and Siri. The manufacturer offers a 10yr limited parts warranty

I bought this washer, not even two years ago and the control panel E2F2 broke not to mention the clothes, never smell clean in it. It wobbled all over the place cause it was poorly made. You would think it’s a Maytag so it would be great, but Maytag is not the same no more their own by whirlpool, definitely a really bad product so angry that I had to replace it in two years and spent almost 1000 bucks with tax you’d be a fool to buy this machine I like to get my money back

I regret to inform potential buyers that the Maytag top load washer is a complete disappointment. Within just two months of use, the control board malfunctioned multiple times, rendering the appliance useless. Now, I'm left without a washer and forced to haul my laundry to the laundromat. Save yourself the frustration and avoid purchasing this unreliable product. Took time out of my day to write this as a courtesy. Thank goodness I purchased a 5 year protection plan.

Washer is bigger than old one and a lot quieter. I’ve always bought Maytag appliances because they last so long.

Way too big for a single family residence...whish I had gotten a smaller one

This review is not a review against Home Depot. This review is against Maytag. I have a 2019 Maytag Bravos XL that has broken 3 times in less than 2 months and the last 2 times was after they replaced major parts on it. Garbage. I’m so disappointed that their products don’t last like they use to. No more Maytag’s for me. And the worst part is that I recommended this product to family and friends. I sure hope they have better luck than I have.

This is my 1st Maytag washer; so far so good

I've had it 2 years. DOESN'T USE ENOUGH WATER. You can select how much water you want to use, but it adds the water progressively, so for the first 15 minutes your clothes are "washed" in so little water that part of the load doesn't get wet. Being dragged around the impeller without enough water damages your clothes. I've tried bypassing the problem by using the built in water faucet to pre-fill the tub before I start a wash, but it automatically empties and resets before starting the wash.

We thought buying the best. NOT! JUST AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED. Washer control board went out...

This washing machine has been a nightmare since only a few weeks after we bought it. It started not filling and trying to wash clothes dry, it throws a default code to open and close the lid almost every wash. The latch to shut the lid is cheap plastic and broke within the first month. Even when it does fill the clothes do not get clean. Overall, I regret this washer everyday!

Do not buy! I just returned second washing machine of the same model. Both machines would go into wash mode without first filling with water. I would have to restart the washing machine 3 or 4 times before it would actually add water to the tub before going into wash mode. Additionally, when the machine would actually fill with water, the imper would move the close about 2 inches left then right, not actually washing the clothes. The impeller mechanism is completely useless.

Not a great washer. Bought 2 years ago. Broke in the first month of purchase . Took 1 week to get a tech out and one week to get the parts. Just broke down again and took 1 week to get a tech out here and didn’t have the parts so hopefully get to fix it this week. Not customer service or techs fault but very frustrating.

I Purchased this machine on April 2023. 7 months in the unit went down and I called to schedule a service. Technician came out to repair the unit. All dandy right... Wrong 2 months later the Control panel, water pump and lower wiring harness had to be replaced.. OK well lets get that done.... After the repair all is good.. 2 months goes by and the unit goes DOWN....... its our fried the control board again. so I call up Maytag and resolution was sorry its out of warranty..

Have had repairman out. They don’t even want to listen to what issues are. But quick to take payment. I understand it is out warranty, I paid money for a visit today from maytags service man. The washer right after he left once again was banging all over and dented itself. It constantly goes off balance and bangs around no matter what .

We have had this washer less than three years.So far the agitator broke off! I didn't even know that was possible! Called the repair man when the lid would not unlock.Control board shorted out.$585 repair. The repair man said we would be better off to scrap the Maytag and get a Speed Queen than to spend the money on the repair. Very disappointing. We thought we were spending enough money and buying a decent brand washing machine when we bought the Maytag.WSADDERRONG! Take my advice and do as you please but I will never buy another Maytag anything.

This is the worst washer I have ever owned. For heavy items, it enters a load balancer cycle and continuously wastes water. The drum is too sensitive to uneven loads. Every time we wash sheets, someone has to babysit the washer and manually rebalance the load. Home Depot wouldn't accept a return due to their 48-hour policy, so we are stuck with this until we're ready to discard nearly $1000.

I love the large capacity and the multiple options for each cycle. After a month of use, has been a really good washing machine. I especially love the ability to schedule a load for later so it's not sitting in the washer for hours while I'm away and the notification on my phone when it's done so I can throw in a new load.

Just over a year in and its getting replaced. We’re a family of 6 and wash clothes daily. This stupid machine requires monthly maintenance, and it is already broken / needing a new circuit board and load balancer. Steer clear, this is not a good buy.

Constantly off balance no matter the size of the load. We have had this for a few years and it’s been that way since day one. It does wash fine but the spin cycle is horrible. Sounds like someone is trying to come through the wall. Family hates it and is begging for a new one.

I bought this product with the dryer. This reviews applies only to the washer--the dryer seems to be fine. I am shocked at how hard this washer is to use and how poorly designed it is. So many problems! 1- It's very tall and a person who isn't tall can't reach the bottom. It also blocks access to the cabinet above. 2- It's supposed to be large capacity but it's really NOT. Even at MAX fill there's not enough water to get clothes clean unless you reduce load size. It can really only be filled about halfway, so the extra height has no real purpose. Also Max fill only seems to apply to the wash cycle, not rinse. 3-The Heavy Duty cycle is virtually useless. It's for really dirty stuff, but is set for a medium water level (Which is quite low in new washers). It adds almost no water before the first agitation (maybe a cup), which means it's agitating clothes while they are dry. This is not good for the fabric. It's supposed to add more water later, but it takes so long that I've never been able to wait it out, I have to change to another cycle. 4- Washing towels or anything very absorbent seems to require getting the items wet before starting the cycle, or all the water provided is just absorbed by the towels and there's nothing for them to "swish" in. The towel setting is only a "high" water level, and even changing it to "Max fill" won't work unless the load is small. So again-not really large capacity. 5-Many loads come out still stained or smelling bad unless you fiddle around with the settings to change the water level, add extra rinse, and/or wet it down first. This is not saving energy, it's actually using more. 6-There is no reason to lock the machine at any time-- we should be able to open the lid. Using this washer is infuriating and I hope they recall it. The design may be improved later but not in time for us.

Don’t buy a Maytag! We purchased a washer and dryer set less than a year ago and have had water level issues with the washer since have had it. They had their 3rd party technician come out 5 times and it still doesn’t get some of the clothes wet but they say it’s working as designed. By saying this there is nothing else you can do. They are terrible and do not stand by their products. An embarrassment to US companies.

Bought this October 2022 and today is April 2024. My washer is dead! Code shows an issue that would cost almost what I paid for it. No warranty help. The control panel is shot. If your looking for a very expensive disposable washing machine, this one is for you!

Two service calls then a third failure--basket would not turn or agitate--all in one year--the last one just after the 1 year warranty expired. This is a flawed product. Let the buyer beware.
