Service center has repaired it several time and it keeps breaking down. Stay away from this washer !! Unless you like going to laundry mat to wash your clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one after I had used my mother in law’s. I was in the market and this one met the needs of my large family. Having the capacity to fit in bulking bedding is nice. I’ve had mine less than a month but so far it’s great!

We have had this machine for a few years and have had so many problems. It’s been “repaired” twice. Now it’s not cleaning the clothes at all. Clothes come out with mud on them no matter what cycle I choose. Customer service was a joke and just wanted me to do ANOTHER service call. I refuse to pile more money into it. I’m trashing this machine and going with another brand. What a disappointment for how much money we spent and have spent on it!!

Seems to make a lot of clicking noises but seems to be working fine. One draw back is I do not think I can change the temperature of the water for prince cycle so that is always cold temps

The problem is this washer is too stingy with water when you begin a cycle. Even if you set your water level to Max Fill, It does not listen to me. It wets the blanket or mattress pad or a few towels using the minimum water that barely wets it. Then it just runs without enough water making the rattling sound. Why? Because the water weight inside your laundry article makes it heavy. Since it is just “sitting instead of floating in a decent amount of water, it is stressing the impeller.

We’ve had both the washer and dryer for 3 years now and absolutely love it. I do a LOT of laundry and have had zero issues with either of these machines. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.

This top loader comes with a latch on the lid that has to be secure to operate. It broke 3 days after delivery. Warranty repair was scheduled 1.5 wks later. Repair person canceled the day before and they (whirlpool and HD Mgr) would not move up next available appt. Have to wait another 1.5 wks. 3 weeks total to get a technician to come out!!!! Mgr said he can’t touch an online order and we paid close to the retail price. Family of 5 now spending $70 every week at the laundry mat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this for two weeks. After installing the Maytag washer. I washed clothing, sheet sets, towels, Comfort set & area rugs. The washer accommodates all. 5.3 cubic has extra powder feature that helps with stains & cleaning. Features allows for water levels, temperature, & spins to be selected as needed. It was also has a feature which allows for small loads for soaking before wash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best topload washer available. Not only does the machine conserve water it also reduces drying times due to its high rpm spin cycle. Gets clothes clean and will text you when the cycle is completed.

Purchased this in Jun 23. The‘Whites’ cycle does not fill up and the machine spins without water. Well, it runs water for about 1 minute then starts the wash cycle with not enough water to cover the bottom. Annoying because I only noticed this after seeing blue detergent on our clothes which means our clothes are not getting clean. The other issue is the dispenser leaves an excess amount of water in the detergent and softener tray and we have to empty it after every load.

We have bought 2 of this model in 4 years . The ONLY reason we bought the 2nd 1 was the high cost of repairs, it would be almost cheaper to replace it, we were hoping the issues w the 1st one was a fluke, the matching color grey w dryer.It seems we are having the same issues as the first,the tub/clutch. Our Service call by a contractor of HD, he wasn’t sure if he corrected the problem. I loaded the washer, its worse . Still waiting on return call. We will change brands for sure.

I can’t help but leave a fantastic review about this washers specs - it’s quiet, it spins out clothes really well making it easier on the dryer!, and it washes clothes to the max. I have 4 dogs and so we knew we needed a great washer and I think we found it!

Find another brand. Maytag and this machine in particular are a waste. Two washing machines a 3 year old and a year and a half headed to the dump. 3 control boards and a new motor and still constantly needing repairs. More down time than actual use. Hopefully a better manufacture gets the recycled metal cause this is a waste of resources. Home Depot you should stop selling junk, evaluate what you sell. I’d love my money back, instead maytag will just write on here sorry, contact us. Ha!

It’s nice and works well so far I CAN TELL YOU THAT SAMSUNG WASHERS ARE JUNK THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT A MAYTAG OR SAMSUNG WAS REPLACED 6 MINTHS AFTER WE GOR IT WAS WORKED ON 4 TIMES AND WENT OUT AT 4YEARS OLD. Do NOT purchase this washer!! In fact, I will never purchase another Maytag/Whirlpool appliance. Purchase this wash in September of 2023 and four months later it’s broke. It’s been three weeks and it’s still broke. Biggest waste of $1,000!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my new washer for a week. My clothes are much fresher smelling and cleaner. With a household of seven, I wanted a large capacity washer and one that will last a long time. I was told this washer has more internal metal parts. I don’t know for a fact that is true, but that was one of my deciding factors of the purchase. So far I am very pleased with the washer. It does operate a little differently than my previous four year old model. There is a power button, which is separate from the start wash cycle. It asks you to do the settings before placing your clothes in the washer. When you hit start, it tells you to put your clothes in the washer. Regardless, I love the washer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is super efficent quite and roomy . You can select water levels add power to your wash cycle and also it has a clean fresh cycle. Ive always had front loaders. In my wash closet this sleek set fit and no chance of door lick failing and flooding my 2nd floor I love it and will never go back to front loaders.. The grey color is a olus and no extra charge for it.

This washer is no good at all i just purchase it a month ago today and it stopped spinning leaving all my clothes wet i tried to start a new cycle it starts sensing but shuts off after 2 min a complete waste of money and time now i have to wait 2 weeks to get it serviced i have kids that need clean clothes and home depot does not take returns after 48 hrs $800 down the drain do not buy

This is a bravos model I'm showing but all of them have fires. This is probably the comparable unit I'm attaching the review too. I have fixed this thing 3 times and I'm not going to do it again (parts only $360). The control board tried to kill us by lighting itself on fire. The machine is suicidal, and it doesn't care if it takes you with it. They have no fuses on the control board and don't shield the electronics from condensation. The inside is covered in rust under the electronics.

We've had this machine for a month now. I wanted to leave a bad review from day one, but I decided to use it a bit before I burn it to the ground. It was so frustrating to figure out. My first few loads came out absolutely filthy! There were lines of white lint on everything. You can't fill it too much. It effectively washes the same amount of clothes as a smaller washer. The loads take longer to wash than a smaller washer. "Heavy duty" loads take 1 hour and 50 minutes to wash. Smaller loads take an hour and twenty minutes. My old machine washed everything effectively in fortyfive minutes. It may use less energy while functioning, but is it really using less energy overall? It's difficult to reach the bottom if you're not vertically blessed. It often stops when it's unbalanced and your clothes remain unwashed until you notice it. The spin cycle blows! I have to hang out my larger items. Levi's and any type of blanket will remain dripping wet. My old machine practically dried my clothes on spin cycle. My items stay full of pet hair. I actually think this machine separated the pet hair then sprinkles it evenly during the spin cycle. Everything comes out with hair on it. I'm just glad we didn't get the matching dryer. This fancy digital stuff is trash. Btw, the QR codes on the machine don't work either.

In 4 years I have already had to replace the control panel ($300) and the transmission ($200) on this machine. Maytag is not the high quality brand it once was. Stay away. See picture if my laundry room floor when the transmission leaked.

I bought a Maytag 5.3 cu ft top load washing machine with Deep Clean option Model MVWB835DW. I've had it 3 years and it's been serviced twice. Today I had to have a new lid put on. The hinges & screws were worn down & rusted and forced the lid to crack. (See pics). The service guy said he is always replacing the lids on the Maytags.GARBAGE! Appliances are made like crap and just don't last. For now on I'm NOT getting MAYTAG. I'm going with a cheaper brand b/c they're all made poorly.

This brand new machine had many issues… The wash cycle would start with very little water, so it was spinning dry clothes. The spin cycle was so intense it seemed as if the machine was going to take off. There was a very loud continous metal clinking sound during the washing and spinning cycle. There are so many unnecessary settings, of which all of them seemed to have an issue with not enough water filling the tub and the spin cycle was dangerously fast. Our family jokingly said we should go back to a washboard. had three different repairman come out from the same company who replaced many parts, still were having issues. Googled the Whirlpool corporate office number, finally talked to a human, they are finally going to send a new one.

After less than three years this piece of junk broke down. The shifter mechanism failed and the water pump broke. It was a total pain in the rear to operate. As the repairman confirmed, the shifter mechanism failed, which can help explain why loads of our wet clothes were left with detergent residue and bleach stains. We had to throw out so many damaged clothes because of this crappy machine. The repairman just shook his head and told us we are better off buying something else OTHER than Maytag. The warranty is a total joke. Another broken machine in the landfill.
