Not a bad unit. Could be put together better. The out side remote needs to be protected from the weather but works good. Sinking the units was easy and painless. The two probes are within 2 degrees of each other. The only complaint I have is that the low temp alarm maxes at 150. Would be better if min temp was at least 200.But I knew that problem and was not surprised

unit is easy to use, works great for smoking brisket, salmon, roasts, etc. I'm a gadget guy & this one has value for the price paid! Great gift for any backyard chef.

The low temp alarm is suppose to adjust between 32-554 but is actually 32-229 which is too low to do any good. The company told me all that model are flawed and I could return it it Home Depot if I wanted. I did.

I was on the hunt for the higher end model from Maverick. While at HD for a totally unrelated item, I came across this model. I'm quite impressed, even though it lacks preset temps, but I can easily set my own. Hi/Lo grill, food, timer etc. Great range, fast and accurate. Everything you need from smoking to grilling

I bought this to verify the temperature on my brand new Brinkman Grill. It came with a thermometer but the temps I was getting didn't add up so I wanted to be able to double check it. I chose this model because of the dual probes, I can watch the grill temp while watching my meat temp. The best part of all? Being able to watch my temps from my couch in the a/c! The receiver has a 300 foot range. Todays high is 99 degrees. Thanks Home Depot!!!
