The thermometer works great to show meat temp in oven. I have an instant read digital that I check it for accuracy and it's spot on! As to the remote!! I ain't smart enough to figure that out yet. But there are lots of YouTube's describing the process if I want to. But, accuracy - that's job one.

The food probe gave out and no longer reads any tempature

So far I'm very happy with it. Time will tell how long it lasts.

Very useful tool for the BBQ smoker. Good range on the remote. Easy to set up and use. It does what I bought it for, and I'm pleased with it. My first pulled pork picnic shoulder was FANTASTIC-- came out tender, moist, and flavorful, thanks being able to precisely monitor the cook temp., and knowing when to wrap it in foil and when to take it out of the smoker. The chicken I did next was the same-- cooked to perfection. I love that the remote keeps me from having to open the smoker so often. Reasonable price, good value.

I bought the thermometer as a gift for my son in law. He is becoming a master BBQ'er and he loves how it works. Everything he cooks comes out perfect.

I bought this maybe 1 or 2 months ago, used 3 or 4 times, stopped synching! I tried everything for 2 day so!! Do not buy! Wish I could return this $50 dollar waste and wish I saw these reviews earlier! Huge waste of money! DO NOT BUY, BUYER BEWARE!

Reciever wouldn't receive any temperature Readings. Works as a temperature thermometer only. Wasted time and money. A ripe off. Thanks for nothing. Used once it as very expensive thermometer. Directions? A joke? Not a quality product.

I purchased this thermometer to use with my bradley electric smoker. Needed something to monitor the temp without opening the door. Worked just as advertised. Very easy to set up and easy to use. Didn't give it 5 stars just because it feels a little light duty. But i smoked a beef roast for 6 hours and didn't have to go outside and check the smoker. Very happy with it and would buy more from Maverick.

Used the thermometer one time. Was accurate on both grill and meat temps and worked as promised. Only issue I had was an HHH reading in the grill temp. After researching this it mentioned that the probe might need replacing. Inspected the unit the probe became unplugged. I don't not have long time

Nice looking devices. Work well for my Traeger grill. Makes for a better meal knowing both meat temp and grill temp. Easy enough to connect and begin use.

The product would no longer sync after one use.

I found a slight difference ( 1 degree ) between the two probes. But, this is a great way to smoke. The remote saves a lot of trips outside to check the temperature.

I'm new to smoking and this makes it easy to monitor the smoker and meat temperatures form inside the house. Originally, I could not snyc the two units, but by removing & replacing the batteries everything works fine.

Have only used a few times but the temperatures seem accurate. The setting of the low and high temperatures are not very intuitive so make sure you don't lose the instructions that come with it. They aren't readily obtainable online.

setting up was easy, but at the end of the day meat was not cooked to the desired temp, probe must not be calibrated right. I will give it a few more chances on the bbq.

Use it in my traeger grill and it works great. You can turn your smoker on in the middle of the night and monitor it from bed!

This device does a good job of monitoring the internal temp of the grill which is great for low and slow cooks. The internal meat probe however is not very accurate. I tried in on some thick pork chops and they got overdone. I verified the temps. with 2 different thermopens and the maverick was off by over 30 degrees, not good. After I installed the batteries the only way I could shut the units off was to remove the batteries. After several attempts with the on/off switches they finally worked but not every time. This product does not live up to the ratings it claims.

Unit has issues with consistently syncing with the transmitter. I returned it.

The dual probe Maverick remote thermometer was a nicer unit than some reviews had led me to expect. It works very well in both my smoker and in the Bar B Que. Both probes read the same, and match the reading on my instant read thermometer. It is a little lighter feeling and not as solid as the item it replaced and hopefully will hold up better than I expect Overall, a good value for the price.

Both probes are accurate to within 1 degree between freezing and boiling. The remote part with the alarm is the best because I can sleep soundly at night when smoking a pork butt for 20 hours without the constant need to get up and check the temps. Several Maverick reviews complain about the sensors stop working but I found if you don't submerge the probes in running water and just carefully wipe them clean they will be ok. Don't soak the probes in water. They will last.
