Works as advertised
The unit was easy to assemble. Trying to get the J bolt hooked up was a little tight for my big hands, but not impossible. Gave out good smoke, was easy to fill. All you have to do is shake the wood chip tower every couple hours to make sure the wood falls to the bottom and keep it full. I smoked 3 racks of baby backs the first time and they had wonderful smoke flavor, tender as could be. I love it. I wish i would had bought it when i bought the smoker unit to start with.

This smoker works great!!!
I have been smoking fish and meat for over 25 years and This cold smoker works great!!! I built several cold smoke generators in the past few years and they never worked as good as this one.. The smoke is a little less than the ones i built but, the mastercraft will smoke for 5-6 hours!! I bought it and adapted it to my gas smoker for smoking cheese and it worked good but i had no thermostat so i did go and buy a mastercraft smoker now, And wow, smoking has never been so easy, smoked some venison jerky today and just really love the whole set up!! Great value this set up will last for years....Oh yea, you can use this with any smoker if you want it has its own heating element...

great addition to the masterbuilt smoker
now this cold smoker works fantastic. I'm very impressed on how much SMOKE this thing puts out. I won't be putting wood chip in the main smoker anymore unless I want to do some lite smoking. now as far as smoking cheese it gets a little to hot for that this cold smoker heated up the main smoker to 117F I did add some ice in the water pan and added a 12'' piece of stove pipe and put it between the main smoker and the cold smoker and was able to get the temp down to 78 F. this smoker seems to be made well and heats up pretty fast it also holds quite a few wood chips. I'm very pleased on how well this works and would recommend it to my friends.
