A:  Thank you for your question. Our Slow Smoker is designed to attached to the wood chip loader tube on all of our electric smokers. So if your main unit has a chip loader opening on the side, then the Slow Smoker will attach to it. If you have any further questions be sure to let us know or let your local Home Depot Associate know! Thank you for choosing Masterbuilt!

A:  Yes. Can be connected directly to the Masterbuilt 30. However, it can be remotely connected using 3, 3 inch vent ducting elbows, available from Home Depot. The remote connection allows for uneven surfaces, and allows for the smoke to cool, keeping the temperature down. This is very helpful when cold smoking cheese; 90 degrees and below.

A:  Thank you for your question. Our Slow Smoker will attach to almost every single one of our Electric models except for a couple. The Slow Smoker attaches via the Wood Chip Loader Tube hole on the unit, so if it has a Wood Chip Loader, the Slow Smoker will attach. The only thing you'll want to consider is the height of your main unit - if it is on a leg kit or stand, you'll want the Support Bracket for the Slow Smoker as well. We hope this was helpful to you. If you need further assistance, please call us at 800-489-1581 and one of our representatives can assist you!

                    A:  0.7

                    by|Nov 22, 2017

A:  Thank you for your question. The Slow Smoker has a 10A switch in it, therefore, the most it will draw from the circuit is 10amps when the element is on/heating. It is advisable to have a dedicated circuit for your smokers to avoid tripping breakers. If you need further assistance, please check with your local Home Depot Associate or call us @ 800-489-1581. We are available to you Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

A:  Thank you for your interest in Masterbuilt and our products! Our electric slow smoker is an attachment unit that is used in combination with one of our smoker units. Any of our smokers can fit and cook a brisket, it is just a matter of how much food you want to cook at one time. We offer a 30", 40", and a 44" size in both electric and propane. If you need further assistance, please check with your local Home Depot or call us directly at 800-489-1581. We are available Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm EST.

A:  Brisket or any other meat won't fit . You need a smoker with it, in spite of what they call it , it's just a smoke generator.

A:  Without clarification I'm not sure how to answer this, but here goes a stab at it. 1. If you're asking if I like brisket, it's a YES! 2. If you're asking if the slow smoker works well attached to the Masterbuilt electric smoker when smoking a brisket, then, again it's a big YES!

A:  You cannot cook in this at all. This is an external smoker box for an existing smoker. Which means you have to have a smoker already. Has no real heat from this to cook anything. It's design to increase smoke to ur food, and reduce refilling chips as often. Also can be used for cold.smoke of foods. Which means like cheese veggies and such without heat

Q:Does this unit emit Thin Blue Smoke?

A:  Thick white smoke is not good smoke which is creosote laden and makes the meat smell like an ashtray. You need the near invisible smoke (thin blue smoke) prized by all BBQ enthusiasts. I finally figured out how to get it. I put in a small amount of wood chips and kept the chimney and top open. After 5 minutes, the wood stops giving off white smoking and catches fire. I replace the chimney cap and close the lid and viola - thin blue smoke. I did it 3 times - once every hour for good smoke penetration.

A:  Dear Customer, Thank you for your question. Masterbuilt would not recommend this but, should you wish to please Wood within the unit it can be warmed. The reason we do not recommend this as temperatures too high could cause the wood to ignite and start a fire when a fire is not desired nor is your unit designed for an open fire. Please refer to your product manual for proper use and instructions. Thank you
