The rubber or whatever did not flex so it allows weather through in the winter months.

Great product, simple to install. Issue I had was that self-tapping screws were not included in one of the packages I received. Wouldn’t have been a huge deal if they weren’t stainless steel, which are hard to find. I made it work, but was bummed I didn’t have screws in one pack obviously. Check for the screws.

Well it did replace my bad garage door bottom seal… the original was slightly different so no replacements were available. I wish I bought this first but unfortunately I bought the gasket first and found it didn’t fit. Tools are required drill, sheet metal bit, and something to cut aluminum with preferably straight… also none of the wholes are pre-drilled but there is a line down the center so you’ll know your dead center.

I replaced my old garage door seal after buying several different seal only kits. I installed it in about 1/2 hour.

Product has difficulties. 1. The vinyl bulb is shipped folded over tightly and thus never recovers its continual shape and thus is difficult to install. 2. The aluminum track is in four pieces that require considerable care to align well enough to slide the bulb piece in. 3. The bulb piece is very difficult to slide in even if het tracks are aligned. It took two of us over an hour, an inch at a time. What helped was spraying silicone lubricant on the track before you put the bulb in. 4. The package says it will close a 3/4" space. For us it is only about 3/8" which means the door bottom still leaks.

This was amazingly easy to install. I was impressed, however the seal itself was not as large as I had hopped and ended up replacing with a heavier duty seal. That also installed with ease. We'll see how it holds up to the winter.

Track was good to convert mine to a T style but the seal was to small.

This product doesn’t perform as advertised it will not seal the bottom of the door if there is a slight dip in floor or if there is grain of sand don’t buy if you have dirt driveway. The rubber seal was folded which makes it difficult to slid into track why isn’t it rolled .

Aluminum guides are just the right length when in line with each other. If you do this yourself, follow the recommendation of sliding one side of the rubber “seal” in its channel. I recommend using a flat-edge plastic pancake flipper or some such item to push the other side in that channel after you’ve attached the aluminum pieces to the garage door rather than a screwdriver like they recommend. I almost poked a hole in the rubber with the screwdriver plus a wider plastic utensil sped up the process. Also recommended: Use electrical tape to hold the aluminum pieces together, then use clamps to hold them to the garage door so you can comfortably screw the included self-tapping screws into the door with a cordless drill. I’d planned to install them one at a time, but there was an issue with the rubber hanging up due to lack of space. Oh and you’ll need a friend or two to hold and clamp in place.

Sold for an 18 foot door, it was enough material to do both my 8 foot doors. The rubber strip is difficult to insert in the track without a lubricant. Good thing I had some electric cable & wire pulling lubricant (also sold at Home Depot). Seals the bottoms of my doors very well, much better than the rubber strip type it replaced.

Packaged in 4x4' segments for the metal. This made it easy to transport. Installation was also easy and straightforward. Although it's best to have 2 people.

Fit perfect on my 2 car garage door

The MD metal rail is too narrow (1.625 versus 1.75" or 2.0") for typical Florida garage doors. I think the responsible product buyers in the main office have never installed this item. The selection and placement of this ONLY item in the HD inventory shows poorly. Returning the open package.
