It was ok for a new house but for mine it didn't work that well.

Inexpensive & very easy way to replace worn garage door bottom seal. Super simple to install.

Excellent product, well made and works well. Unfortunately, it is marred by poor packaging. I installed it on a 16-foot garage door. The aluminum channel comes as 4 separate sections, each 54" long which need to be cut to fit and carefully aligned. The vinyl strip is continuous and needs to be fed into the installed strip from one end, which is helped by lubrication with soapy water. However, the strip is shipped wrapped lengthwise around the aluminum strips. This produces permanent kinks which makes feeding the strip difficult. The vinyl should be shipped as a continues coil, which would not cause kinks. It would also be preferable if the aluminum could be shipped as only two lengths (even at extra cost) so that only one place for alignment is required.

Just what I needed for my garage door. The old seal and seal holder were desengrated after 30 years. This was the only option for a seal. And it all worked great. After installing the aluminum holder was able to pull the rubber seal across little by little. A helper to feed it on one side would help, but I did it myself. No problem.

Relatively easy for two people to install. In our case, the rubber seal was not as deep as our original, so we may have to have the door cables adjusted down.

Easy to assemble, very straightforward directions. Very sturdy and holds well

The weatherstripping is folded and kinks result making unevenness when installed. Also, do not follow step 4 in the instructions. Save 2-3 hours by threading both rubberized edges at the same time into the rail once the rail is installed .

Very easy to install. Use soapy water on the rubber channel and it sides through the channels real easy

I install these for customers and they always turn out great. Ive installed many of them.

Installed by my son with help from my daughter in law. Used 16 feet so needed extra hands. Difficult to slide seal thru but WD 40 made it possible. Very happy.

I ended up cutting about 1/4" off of the aluminum channel for my double garage. The rubber seal was about 19' long so a little extra there as well - always good to have a little extra vs being a little short! I did manage to install it myself - having a 2nd person would have been better but 1 is manageable. I would buy again.

The holes were pre drilled which made install a piece of cake

The only reason I didn’t give it a five is that the screws that came w it are a bit short for my application. Also waiting to see how it does in the winter. I.E. will the rubber stay in the guide when icing occurs?

I upgraded to a more heavy duty seal but the track went on real easy and looks good. It is flexible enough to bend with the imperfections in the base of my garage door from dents.
