Tiller was packaged in a manner I have never seen before - there was a frame inside the box of welded angle iron that was reinforced in several places and the tiller motor/body was bolted to this frame. I am very impressed with this packaging. It was difficult to lift the tiller out of this frame as the body was very unwieldly/heavy and the angle iron had quite sharp edges; definitely takes more than one person. Assembly instructions were better than average. Unit started after just a couple pulls. After using a few times it starts with 1 pull. Both the wheel and tine gear levers shift with a great deal of difficulty and I have barked my hands several times shifting (it has become SLIGHTLY better after using). The levers also do not line up with the markings on the bar, making it difficult at times to know what is selected. Tiller is VERY powerful in my opinion and requires a lot of muscle to control at times. Probably should not allow a younger or smaller person operate. Unit cannot be free-wheeled, the motor must be running and you have to use it to move around (won't turn on a dime either) - this is a big negative for me. Unit is built with very heavy gauge steel and iron and appears to be extremely sturdy. I have run through my garden 4 times so far; it has done an excellent job tearing up sod and breaking the dirt up (it has been damp here, I haven't tried on hard, dry soil). I think, in spite of the negatives I have mentioned, that this is an excellent value for the money and I am overall, very, very pleased.

Our ground in packed hard as concrete and red clay. This tiller broke through and tilled it nicely the first time no problem. It is very stout and you had better hold on tight and be prepared! My husband is a large man and it nearly caused him to go over the handlebars! After some adjustments it worked out very well for us.

No throttle on unit speed adjustment with a set screw but no info on this operation

More power than I ever expected it to have.,super easy to start and operate.

I read the 1 star reviews last year. A lot of complaints about the tines rotating in the wrong direction; that problem has been fixed. I have used mine for a full season, mostly mixing hard ground clay with organic matter to develop soil. It powers through all that. The engine is the same Chinese one used by HF - the 212cc Predator. It fires up every time with a few pulls, even on cold days. If I had to complain about something, the gear shift levers are a bit stiff, you get used to it.

I have had this tiller for about 1 year. Now it will not run unless it is in choke. Everytime I put it in run mode it stalls out. Worst product I have ever purchased.

After assembly, I realized that the left wheel is bent. Haven't even taken it in the dirt yet. Looks like a well built machine, minus the wheel issue. We will se how it does in the garden.

I bought this new from a man who said it was too big for his wife. Now I know why. The tines turning the same direction as the wheels makes this thing too much to handle. I’m 250 lbs and it jumps forward and yanks me around. I have to pull so hard on it that one of the rubber hand grips is pulling off the machine. I have sandy soil, but any compaction makes this thing unmanageable. Unless you are tilling previously prepared and very loose soil, I could not recommend it.

Work’s ground well, but is heavy and shifts hard. Main gear box is cast iron not tin

The first machine I picked up and took home the fill plug for the trans drive was missing. I had to take it back to the store it was not noticed because the sales tag was over the hole. It was replaced and the other one I got ran fine I added some drive train oil to it, but it did a great job. The lady at the return desk was very nice and help me get the swap out. Thanks

It digs very well has plenty of power. I bought a smalller electric one last year it was a joke.The only problem I had was I didn't adjust the cable for the Forward handle and it burned the belt up fast

Product should not be stored or shipped on side or upside down. Transmission gear oil leaks out.

Do not buy, Bought already assembled by Home Depot, the rims would spin inside of the tire so it wouldn’t pull itself. Engine constantly rev up and down, and even drive/tine lever wasn’t pulled to engage, it would randomly start to drive itself and engage the tines. Also the cover over the tines isn’t efficient and lets dirt literally cover the engine. Returned the next day.

It's a beast! It chews up 8" of compact dirt in no time. I did have an issue with the tire/wheels, but the gal at Home Depot fixed me up quickly.

Was supposed to be full of gear oil and motor oil. Wasn't full on either.

Legend Force was easy to start after assembling and runs well. I am missing one bolt for the handles, as it came off in the dirt and I haven't found the bolt as of yet. Lack of tightening it well is the issue, I am sure. Overall, it was easy to assemble and take from the metal support in transporting. So far........a smooth running machine.

Is a good tiller ! Just had to disconnect drive tires . Old man could not keep up with it . One speed !!!

Easy to assemble. Easy to start. This thing was a beast. Tilled up new garden space with no problem. Great product

pro: Product does what it is intended to do and is heavily built, starts easily. Was heavily packaged, but had leaked oil, although not excessive, out due to being turned over etc during shipping. Con: Difficult to change gears for both times and wheels for forward reverse neutral of both

Was easily assembled came in a welded cage which I cut off with a sawzall.started after choking,on the first pull and this tiller is definitely no weakling.plowed a 5000 sq ft garden with ease.would definitely recommend!
