Our old dryer went out and a quick online review pointed us in this direction. We have all LG appliances in the kitchen, so it seemed right to go with a new LG washer and dryer. The controls are not 100% intuitive, but after a time or two it does make sense. Nice range of options for drying. We probably used 3 or 4 of them and the Steam function was not critical to our choice of machines. We just want a good, reliable dryer that doesn't require an advanced degree to operate. This meets those specs.

Anyone else having this same problem? on all automatic cycles, even setting it to the dryest setting, 6 pairs of socks are left quite damp. Only way i can get them dry is to use a manual setting. apparently the problem is the small amount of clothing, because towels, etc do fine.

What can be said about a brand new high-end, over-priced clothes dryer that does not adequately dry one's laundry? Apparently these are the "new standards" that we're supposed to not only accept but be excited about? No.

I love this dryer! Dries quickly and is stylish!! Not much else to say, its great!

I bought this dryer and the matching washer. The dryer has been a great disappointment. The main problem is that it has sensors on the automatic cycles and LG's idea of very dry is my idea of too damp to put in the closet or drawer. When I spoke with customer service (in India) about this, they said that since items aren't uniform, it senses the dryest ones and shuts off based on this. If you mix a load, this results in damp items in the load and who doesn't mix loads in a dryer this size? I am now running everything manually on speed dry, which does not use the steam feature but dries the clothes. The steam feature is another disappointment. You have to manually fill a plastic container with water ever few uses. At this price, you'd think they would have put a water connection in but there is none. When I tried to use the steamfresh cycle to takes wrinkles out of a pair of pants that I was planning to wear for an evening out, it did remove the wrinkles but the pants were soaking wet. When I tried to dry them, they came out more wrinkled than before I started. The same customer service rep, who was not at all familiar with the machine and was reading from a manual, told me I had to put five items of clothing the same weight into the dryer for this feature to work. This is ridiculous and not a convenience. These appliances look very nice and that is why I feel I was taken in. If I had it to do again, I would have kept my ten year old bottom of the line washer and dryer and replaced them with the same when they broke. They worked just as well for a lot less money.

There is one problem with the dryer, you have have to match the content of the dryer (cloths) to the selection. It seems if you put a large load under cotton /normal cycle, cloths have come out damp causing us to finish the cloths under quick dry... It does not recognize the cloths are being still wet . The problem is really highlighted when you put some towels into the dryer with a basic load. The dryer's default selection is for cotton / normal cycle. If towels are mixed in, they will come out damp along with the rest of the cloths. You have to remember to change from the default (normal/cotton) to another selection to get them dry. Starting to get a little concerned that the machine might have a problem..

I've had my new LG dryer for 2 1/2 months and I love it and all its many options/settings!

We love our new washer and dryer. We were having problems with clothes getting clean and our old washer was leaving soap still in the clothes. It is so nice to have problem solved and clothes coming out clean. Would definitely recommend this washer.

I absolutely love my new 7.5 cu.ft. L.G. Dryer, especially the Steam features. Using the steam settings has been so great for removing wrinkles from both newly purchased clothing, and pants and jeans which have become wrinkled during wearing. It also refreshes sweaters and tops. These steam features have already saved me so much time from getting out my iron to press these items before wearing! Love L.G. appliances

Have not purchased a washer in twenty years, just purchased the washer and dryer a week ago and, wow what a difference. These machines are incredibly quiet and efficient, the dryer literally dries our normal load in a quarter of the time as the old dryer. The washer I can honestly say is equally as impressive as the dryer. I was reluctant to purchase a front loader due to the reviews we had read. After researching and, now experiencing the product, I find the front loader is probably the way to go these days, since the regulation of the water quantity one is allowed to use. This washer does a great job, you would never be able to tell the difference in the amount of water used. The steam is also a great feature, do not have use bleach anymore, which is great for those of us that have septic tanks. The presets are also very efficient, point and start. You can also customize your setting very easy as well. Like I said in the beginning, so far awesome products would highly recommend. But, it has only been a week, I really hope they last.

To compliment the frontload washer, this dryer complete the set. It dries your clothes fresh like you just bought it from the store. Lots of setting from drying delicates to towels and comforters, nothing beats this dryer. I am sold and one happy customer. !!

My new LG dryer is quiet and efficient. I cannot believe how quickly it dries. I researched washer & dryers before I purchased and the LG was rated tops. I looked at others brands in the store, but some of them were not designed well. Since mine is stacking I needed to know that I could see the dryer controls from the ground - on some you cannot. I purchased the model with the steam feature not really knowing much about it or if I would need or use that function. The other day I put a silk shirt in with a bunch of other clothes and failed to get them out at the end of the cycle so it was wrinkled. I filled the steam reservoir and threw the wrinkled shirt back into the dyer for 6 minutes - WOW - perfect. I am so happy with my new washer & dryer. Plus it looks fabulous in my newly remodeled laundry room.

I love my LG Dryer and especially the stainless drum. My previous dryer had an enamel drum and it discolored. I also like the idea that in addition to my setting I can also request for it to dry longer or less. You can adjust it to your every need. I have not used the steam yet but plan to. It has many features and is fun to use. I also bought the matching washer and both in the color of graphite. Love the color.

This dryer does all that is advertised. It's efficient, quiet, and has several temperature choices.

I originate from England where our weekly wash was hung out on a washing line to dry and then it needed ironing. Now with the LG dryer, there is no need to iron as the clothes come out fresh and dry. LG are superior products with features to fit small or large households. The dryer is also very quiet when operating.

I purchased this dryer 2 months back. It works great. One cycle to dry all my cloths. No sound and it works great!

The dryer works great and is easy to use! I love the rack also, makes it easy to dry shoes and don't have to listen to the THUD, THUD, THUD anymore!!

We replaced an 8-year old LG front-load washer and competing brand dryer with a new set from LG in order to give our old set to our daughter when she moved into her first apartment after college. Our primary goals for the washer were to get something quieter with a door that was not always in the way. We have had it now for about 2 months and are very pleased. NOISE: The washer is in a laundry room off our kitchen, which adjoins our living area. The old one was annoying even with the laundry room door closed. So much so that we would not run it while watching TV. The new one, however, is so quiet that if we close the laundry room door, we don't even remember it is running until the end-of-cycle chimes sound. DOOR: We zeroed in on this washer because of the way the door was designed. The old washer required you to leave the door open so the gaskets could drain. If you did not, they mildewed and stunk. And the door had two resting points that it moved to whenever it was left open, and both of them were in the way. Not only does the new door sit at whatever point you leave it, it also has a catch that is designed to keep it almost closed while allowing ventilation into the washer to allow it to dry out. So far, we have had absolutely no issues with the door being in the way or with smells coming from the washer due to mildew build-up. In general, the only issue I have with this washer (and dryer) is that the tubs are so deep that it can be awkward getting all of the clothes out. This could be somewhat remedied with the pedestals, but they will not work in our current laundry room. We will definitely look at them in the future when/if we move.

This dyer is very quiet, is feature packed and does a great job of drying even the largest load efficiently, quickly and thoroughly. It has numerous drying options and the steam feature has done a great job reducing static build up and wrinkles.

We had a high end name brand washer that started rusting, and never seemed to clean clothes the way we felt it should. We finally decided to get rid of our set and purchase this washer and matching dryer, and man am I glad we did. Me and my wife enjoy washing clothes now, because ever load is fresh and clean. The washer is very easy to use, and also allows you to modify just about every setting you want to get a perfect wash.

Excellent drying power. Large tub makes the drying process much quicker. Looks great!

I have room for a stacked washer + dryer and because I had to replace the washing machine, I had to buy this dryer. So far, I am satisfied with it.

This dryer can handle a lot of clothes. Looks great and has great features. We haven't used the steam cycle yet so can't comment on that.

Purchased the dryer and the first time I used it, it would not dry the clothes completely. Had to continue turning the dryer back on several times in order to get the clothes dry. Took 5 hours to do two loads of clothes. Definitely a lemon.

The interior light is a great plus! I love the many wash cycle options. The drain and spin cycle is perfect for all the towels used at the pool!! The capacity of this washer actually saves me so much time. My towels all fit in one load and still come out clean!

This dryer performs as promised! Quiet and quick (even towels dry in one cycle). The steam option is great if you don't like to iron. And, it looks good in my laundry room.
