LG Refrigerator
I have been very happy with my LG purchase and everything has been great with it until the compressor went out on us. I am thankful for the fact the part is under warranty and I only have to pay for labor. I have owned this fridge for just over 6 years so I have gotten sometime out of it. I am bummed that it has a fault already due to I have a garage fridge that has moved a few homes and has been with me for going on 15 years and still works amazingly.

Great customer service

Continued issues with ice maker. Leaking water finally compressor went out.
We also gave a dishwasher issue, racks all need replaced. Coating came off. Now it stops in middle of cycle. Stove was misrepresented as self cleaning. It definitely is not!

Bad compressor 8 year old under warranty replaced
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I called LG support for replacing 8 years of LG fridger compartment not working called contractor who identified bad compressor. The LG call center person in Phillipines arranged to send generic compressor at no charge to my repair contractor who sent LG certified guy to fix it is working fine now. LG refrigerator should be less than 10 years old to be under warranty.

6 years - no problems!
We bought this refrigerator 6 years ago and have been very happy with it! No problems, no repairs. I really like the "Ice Plus" booster when we are going to have visitors over. I plan to buy LG again whenever we need another refrigerator.

Very well designed/engineered
Purchased August 2018. Sealed refrigeration system has failed 2 times. Repaired both times under warranty. Extremely inconvenient. Food loss and waited days for repair. If not for this I would have given a 4 or 5 star overall rating. There is a lot to like about this refrigerator.

Great frig/freezer
Have used frig/freezer for a week. Nice size for both refrigerator and freezer. Much prefer French door bottom freezer than side by side. Shelves are clean lines and door shelves are big and hold alot. We have purchased freezer storage bins to use in the freezer so that it is not just one big mess of frozen food. These can be pulled out easily versus finding 3 year old frozen food at bottom.
Improvements I'd like to see: Bring back the little sliding shelf under the water/ice dispenser. Before you could easily fill a pitcher or tall water bottle without worrying about angles.
Secondly, I'm not sure of the value of the wifi. When the frig was first installed, I was disappointed it would only tell me what the temp settings were, not the actual temps. Unless I want to change the temp of the frig from my bed (which I would never do), I am not sure the value of this feature. I thought it would give real time info.

Ice maker/ service
Like the refrigerator, but do not like the icemaker. It continuously clumps the ice which I have to empty. When I had problems with water/ice in the bottom of the freezer, I had a very hard time finding someone to service it. Many said they don't repair LG refrigerators, or I wasn't in their area. I used the list on the LG website...very frustrating. I finally found a wonder repair company, but it shouldn't be so hard.

Good, but only lasted 9 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator to install with our then new home. Only two issues in the 9 years that we owned it - (1) the appliance stopped freezing and refrigerating almost 9 years to the day after installation. That may sound like a long time, however, we are a family of two, so there has not been a lot of in-and-out over the years. And I am old enough to remember when appliances routinely lasted much longer. (2) The second issue is that the ice cubes in the in door ice maker would often freeze together if ice was not dispensed every day or two. Otherwise, no problems or issues until it suddenly stopped working. .

Repair
This refrigerator is a lemon. The repairman has been here 3 times. He has replaced the ice maker, dryer assembly, compressor,set assembly, he has replaced the circuit board twice and is comping back to replace it a third time. I want my purchase price or replacement refrigeratior. I haven't had a refrigerator for 2 weeks, we need this taken care of now.

Never purchase LG product again
Not even 10 year old refrigerator and last November, compressor failed. It was changed for another. 1 year later...to the day, refrigerator fails again. After spending money on service call...it was diagnosed irreparable because of the line that runs throughout is leaking and cannot be repaired.

Lasted 5 years

Adequate, but can do much better for the money.
Very poor ice maker. Having trouble replacing unit as LG has changed to a 12 pin plug from 10. Ice maker frequently over fills tray and drips into bin freezing cubes together. Poor design says says repairman.

LG Frridge
I've had the fridge for 5+ years. Ice builds up under the freezer door and leaks on the floor., Ice machine had to be replaced and the ice machine flapper blocks the ice from dispensing which makes hold the flapper open when we want ice to dispense. Very unsanitary..Ice machine leaks, fills under the glass grate and drips down the fron of the fridge
