    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my LG for 4 years now. The compressor topped working and needed to be replaced a few months ago. Now the operation is rather loud with intermittent unfamiliar sounds. My faith in the product is being strained.

      Never again LG
      LG refrigerator-never again. $3300+ and it’s not working, no cooling at all for no apparent reason. All troubleshooting & tests recommended in the manual, by LG service, by repairman & by every YouTube video show no problems. There’s much history on bad compressors, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem either. So after 5yrs & 4 months, I’ve had to order a new refrigerator. LG has no local repair people, & HD’s “extended” warranty runs simultaneous to the LG warranty-very misleading.

            Give them a chance
            This refrigerator was in our new build home. We love it but after being in the home for a short time it went out. We were sick and almost gave up because we couldn’t find anyone that would work on it. We were also told LG wouldn’t work with us to fix it so I almost didn’t even try to call them. After a call and a few emails they got someone out to fix it. They seemed appreciative to do it and didn’t give me a hard time. Before you let others put them down give them a chance because they do have the best options when buying a refrigerator.

                  New compressor at 3 1/2
                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this product for 4 years now. The first 3 1/2 were, as expected, uneventful. Then the product failed completely and a new compressor needed to be installed. Exactly one week after the installation, it failed again. For some unknown reason, two days later it resumed working. It has worked consistently for the 4 subsequent months. The refrigerator has acquired some new and interesting sounds however. In short, I have little confidence in this product. ,

                      Not my cup of tea.
                      We bought this unit in 2016 and I did not like the way some of it was arranged. Awkward to open the bins in the fridge area as both doors had to be open. A better design would have been 2 larger drawers instead of 3 small. I absolutely HATE the freezer. difficult to store items and the 2 sliding trays were not as useful as I thought they would be. We had a loss of cooling about a year ago (2022) and hubby cleaned the coils and reset the unit. It worked fine till last month, then the compressor completely ran out of freon due to a MFG defect and to fix was more than a new fridge. We opted to NOT get another LG b/c all repair people said LG compressors are notorious for going out. We went back to a side by side Frigidaire Gallery counter depth. Much happier now. Will never buy another LG.

                          Love the ice maker with crushed ice option
                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this LG refrigerator when we built our new home in 2017. We have loved the features on this refrigerator. No issues until recently when the linear compressor failed. We contracted LG about the problem and they we great to stand behind their product. The problem was resolved quickly.

                              I shopped for a week at 3 different stores. I found MY refrigerator with more perks than I expected. I love the outer door to get oj, milk, butter, and condiments without using energy opening the full door. The water levels are convenient. The middle drawer can be used as a refrigerator or freezer. How cool is that!

                                    Not worth the headache!
                                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty fridge, but I have gone through two new compressors in 6 years, and now it died again last weekend. Loud noise, stopped working and then it came back from the dead 24-hours later (after throwing out a bunch of spoiled food) and now the water/ice do not work. The first compressor died before the first year was up, the second one died approx. 3 years later and we also had issues with the internal area of the ice maker freeze up as well. Two trips out for that issue! Instead of taking any chances and wasting my time getting it repaired, I ordered a new non-LG fridge. The delivery person said that this happens a lot, and people cancel their new fridge order and then the LG that died and came back to life, dies one week later. Avoid the headaches and don't buy this fridge.

                                        We bought this refrigerator 5 years ago. It made it to th 4 year mark and then T this refrigerator has had major issues all year. On of the repair services listed on LG for our area let us know they stopped servicing LG all together because their compressors go and replacing them does not seem to help. We are buying a new refrigerator.

                                          Problematic
                                          Purchased 9 years ago and has had 4 technician visits. Compressor failure twice, circuitry issues, and several cooling issues, .e.g., ice on fan(s), etc. I have the dust blown out from the compressor area once a year. I take care of it, but it struggles to take care of me.

                                                        LG refrigerators are unreliable
                                                        I purchased this refrigerator in 2016. The compressor failed in 2023, was replaced under warranty, and then failed again about a month ago (out of warranty, and out of the ability for the Class Action lawsuit to compensate me for the repeated failure. This is not a reliable refrigerator

                                                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend purchasing this refrigerator. The compressor went bad and it took me 3 days to find a repair service that would even look at an LG refrigerator because of the terrible warranty process. LG did give me the name of 3 companies that repair LG, but none of them would come to work on an LG. After calling 17 different companies, I finally convinced a local service provider to deal with the repair. I will never buy an LG product again based on this experience.

                                                            Waste of money
                                                            I bought my refrigerator in 2017 and it has already failed 3 times. LG doesn’t stand behind their product and refuses to cover the labor costs to replace the same component (the compressor) that keeps failing… not to mention the food that we have now lost 3 time. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone and would look for a better company that will respond appropriately if their product is junk.
