I really like my new microwave/vent. I use it for warming things up, so the special settings like Mac & Cheese mean nothing to me. The microwave is faster than my previous ones, and I often use lower power levels. My only regret is that the timer only beeps once, then resets, so you can't use it to remind you to finish something that's time critical, like turn off the outdoor grill.

Had this 9 months and today it decided to quit heating food. I bought this to match the fridge, but that was a big mistake. At least it's inside 1 year, so the warranty will cover this, but I mean come on, what in the world are these appliance manufacturers doing? How can they produce an appliance that lasts all of 9 months and stay in business? Where has the idea of quality and durability gone? It's shameful. No more LG junk for me.

I've just replaced an old Sharp Carousel that lasted way longer than it should have (was still working, actually). I cannot speak to the LG's product longevity, but the first impressions are completely excellent. Lots quieter than my old Sharp, heats just the way you would expect. Nice controls, including an "ez-on" 30-second one-touch button and a "custom cook" programmable button. Light is fine, fan is ok (tho only two operating speeds, hi/lo). Specs on Home Depot site count "off" as the third speed! I put this over a stainless cooktop and into 12" deep overhead cabinets. This unit is one of the "least deep" modern over-range units and it actually looks fine protruding out from the cabinet face by 3-3/4". I was very concerned about this cosmetic aspect, but it really came out looking way better than I expected. Overall a good-looking and nicely functional microwave. I am very happy with this purchase.

Only time will tell how well it holds up as they were asking for a review within one week of me owning it, I'll only use it for steaming veges and reheating plus some single frozen meals

We already had an LG microwave that I liked but we remodeled the kitchen and decided that an over the range would free up counterspace. I love the new microwave especially the reheat dinner plate feature. I always used to reheat pizza in the oven but find that the reheat pizza works fine. I haven't found anything I didn't like about it yet. Maybe they could add self clean???

We are very happy with our LG microwave, it is quiet and easy to use, it also was very easy to install, we will purchase more LG products in the future.

This LG microwave was delivered on 02/20/12 with a mounting nut missing. After six hours and as many telephone calls, LG Service Representatives had mailed me four installation kits; none included the the missing mounting nut. I had an LG service representative bring-up the unit's diagram on her monitor and showed her the exact missing part and where it fit. I explained the difference between a mounting nut and a mountling bolt. The result was her mailing another mounting kit of bolts. After about a month of telephone conversations with LG representatives and a manager, I asked that a repairman be sent to my residence with the appropriate mounting nut. I was told LG didn't provide service technicians. One representative informed me that they did not provide warranty services. Later a representative said an independent technician had been scheduled, which proved to be untrue. This nutty issue was resolved when I telephoned an independent technician to assist me. The unit was finally mounted almost four weeks after the delivery date. About six months into using the microwave, the temperature sensor failed, as did all the key pad buttons that rely on the sensor. On 03-15-13 the entire unit quit working including the lights, fan and touch pad. Twenty-five days after the one-year warranty expired, the unit was completely inoperable and was trashed. This LG unit lasted one year. The RCA unit it replaced lasted over twenty years. Looking at the bright-side, the two units I have owned averaged a ten year life span each!

This microwave is attractive and cooks well. It cooks much faster than our old microwave which took awhile to get used to. The basic buttons are fine. There seems to be a lot more than I need and a few I'd like are not there, such as "add 30 seconds" and a timed defrost. The vent is very powerful and I love the turntable. I would like the button that controls the light to be right at the bottom of the touch pad. It's hidden among the other buttons, so it's difficult to find it in the dark! But, overall, we're very pleased with it.

Nice looking, ran quite, matched frig design and worked ok for first 8 or so months. Then we started to have serious problems, unit would not shut off after defrosting meat. Service had to replace a control switch. That worked for a couple weeks, then while defrosting again, it went postal and burnt the meat to a crisp. Service once again replaced the control switch. After 16 months it did the samething again and this time just died. No power at all. It's basically trash. I wised up and when I purchased a new clothes dryer we bought a M****g after reading reviews about the LG dryers. STAY AWAY FROM LG!!!!

13 days after the manufacturer's warranty expired, this microwave quit working mid cycle. This happened in the evening but I was still able to get a customer service rep on the phone. They suggested that I call back during the day and ask for a manager and that since it was so close to the warranty that they would most likely pay for a repair. Not the case. In fact it's the complete opposite. The morning service rep would not even send me over to a manager but insisted on telling me that small purchases don't matter to them. If it were a refrigerator or TV they would consider it but not a counter top microwave. So if you're looking to spend money and have a microwave break in a years time, this piece is for you! I will never buy anything LG again solely based on this experience with their customer service, quality of product, etc.

Bought this with a full set of LG stainless steel appliances and this thing just stops working one day. Everything works fine until i go to press the start button and it trips the breaker. everytime! LG gave me a number to call for service, they want like almost 200 just to come out and to take a look at it. That doesn't include parts! I'll never buy another LG appliance or product again now. Very disappointed.

This replaced an old microwave. It works great,well built,so pleased with our purchase. Bought an LG washer in Nov.we love love it. We need a dryer, and when we can see our way financially, it will be an Lg. We love the LG Brand Lucille Hobe Sound Fl

Works at heating food OK, but a few flaws.. The light bulbs that shine down on the range burn out too quickly. By quickly, I mean they might last a week, maybe two, and that's it. Engineering flaw - LG please have your engineers go back in there and design something better. Should I be expected to spend $10/month to feed light bulbs to my microwave? No. Certainly, whatever energy is saved is immediately offset by the cost to keep it going. What a waste. The turntable, at times, produces a "clunking" sound as it rotates. I don't know if it's coming from the cheap plastic truck under the turntable platter, or from somewhere inside the unit. But don't worry about it LG - I will keep working on it until I fix your design errors. :( The microwave has a very cheap, "Yugo" feel to it. When you close the door, you will hear a hollow, empty metal box echo. Every time I close the door, I'm reminded just how poorly made and cheap this thing is. Typical Chinese, slapped-together junk. Would not recommend

I purchased this microwave in May, 2011. I loved the sensor cook features it offered, especially the "fresh vegetables" selection. Fresh broccoli was cooked to perfection using the sensor cook code! Sadly, after only one year and eight months (of course, the warranty has expired!), the sensor code features no longer function. I was receiving an "F-4 code." I called for repair service ($118 just for the service call) and the microwave was taken back to their shop. Within a week, the repair guy called to tell me that it would cost approximately $280 to repair because the sensor code functions are on the main panel. Totally not worth it!!! I am quite disappointed in this product given the short length of time the microwave's enhanced features malfunctioned. The remaining functions will work .... but for how long ???

Very fast delivery and installation ! Service guys were very nice and courteous. Would definitely use Home Depot next time I need an appliance.

Microwave works fine. It was a good value for a standard over the range microwave. It could use some more features such as quick one-press options, but it works for what it is.

Bought this microwave in April 2011, less than 1 year later all sensors quit working and by Dec 2012 the microwave quit cooking. LG makes terrible appliances. Put all LG in my kitchen and ALL LG died. LG customer service is horrible and repairs are expensive and frequent. Will not spend another penny on their junk. When it did work it always got so hot and vent is very loud. All in all terrible.

Have had it several months and we are very pleased with this microwave.

This product replaced a 29 year old built in Jennaire microwave. What a relief. Of course it looks great, but is much quieter, and it has a lot more space on the inside, even though it fits in the same spot as the old one. I never bothered to learn to use the sensor features on old one (not sure they would work), buth they are relatively easy in this unit. I like the variable light and fan and the ability to turn off the turntable.

I've had this microwave for over 2 years. I've had no service issues. It does not cook the food evenly. My disappointment is the difference in a turntable versus the sliding table in this one. Because it does not turn the food, there are hotspots in every dish. You have to rotate the food as it cooks to get distribution of heat.

We've had it a short time but it seems to work very well, the defrost feature is especially good, as well as the reheat feature. Installation was straight forward. The product arrived as promised and in great condition. This product was a replacement for a GE profile that died and the mounting existing bracket was reused

After fewer than 5x of using, the START button along with the numbers 6, 7 and the chicken nuggets buttons stopped working altogether. The START button is integral to using the microwave and renders it 90% unusable. I called LG and they refuse to accept responsibility as I have owned the unit for 14 months and the warranty expires after 1 year. We are very disappointed.

Our Kenmore MW died, almost 3 years to the day, so we needed a replacement. We ordered this MW on the HD website and delivery was smooth with advanced calls and on time drop off. Installation was pretty easy as the wall mounting bracket for our old MW is an exact match with this one. Seems like the industry may be standardizing here. Unfortunately the top screws and power cord locations were different. This meant drilling new holes. We have had this MW for just over one month and are quite satisfied with it. The Kenmore's exhaust fan would run when ever the MW was used which made it noisy, especially since we are configured for indoor exhaust. This LG only gives a hum when the MW is used and the exhaust fan remains off (or runs so low I can't here it). Our old MW was lower power at 900 watts and took about 1:20 to boil a cup of water. The LG is 1,100 watts and does the job in about 0:50. Saving the best for last... This MW went on sale for about $100 less 3 weeks after we made the purchase. A quick call to HD and they honored the 30 day price match and gave us the credit!

We've had this microwave for over a month now. Installation instructions were correct and easy to follow. We have tried every function in the owners manual, and they all work as described. It's quiet and good looking. The only down side is you have to press the buttons on the keypad rather firmly.

2nd time using it - it DIED! 1 Week, looks pretty, but is a Nightmare.
