This microwave sounds like it is coming apart when in use. When using the preselect settings, it overcooked the selections. Returned this box.

Great product. Quiet and good price. The service and delivery people were great.

I like the product but the light is VERY dim!! I have left it on many times just because I didn't even notice it was on. It is very DARK over the stove because of this low light. There are not 2 differnt choices of high and low. It is just LOW.

This product has all the features needed to be a great help and time saver in the kitchen. Love it!!

My Microwave went out two years later. Circuit board fried. Problem is that moisture caused it. research on the interweb said this is a common problem for LG microwaves. so if you buy it get the extended warranty, or just not buy an LG Microwave.

It has not been very long since I ordered and had this microwave installed and now when I heat anything, there is a loud high pitch sound the entire time my food is heating up. Terrible. DO NOT BUY!!

The microwave was easy to install. The features are fairly basic, but cover all that we need. It is the quietest microwave that we have ever had. It seems sturdier than past units and has a larger glass plate in it that takes advantage of the recessed glass in the door. We're using the vent to outside feature and the 3-speed fan works well. The microwave is also one of the most powerful we have had and food heats up quickly. The 4-star rating is simply based on the fact that we have only had it a few weeks. We've been disappointed in the longevity of past units (different brands) so I'm wary of being too enthusiastic.

I was slightly disappointed with this microwave, as we had a more powerful one before, but were wanting the exhaust fan we had never had before. It just isn't as powerful, so it takes longer to pop popcorn, and you can't use the popcorn setting as it doesn't run long enough to pop all the corn. We had to go back to using a longer time, but it still works good. Just wish it was more powerful, as we had to order it in white. In fact, we had to order all the appliances because white is an option now.

Like so many other reviews on this microwave, ours died at 23 months....we loved it up until it died.... I'm ordering a main control board as I think I've narrowed the issue down to that after testing the fuse and voltage to the board...if the board is the problem I'll be out about $60-$110 for the part....bummer :(

A beautiful appliance. Easy to use and easy to look at. I highly recommend this microwave if you are in the market.

This is a wonderful microwave. It's beautiful and matches my LG oven. I haven't had a new one in quite a while so the features are spectacular. Melt or soften butter, popcorn setting that senses when it's done popping and turbo on the exhaust settings. I'd change one thing, make the lights brighter.

Love the look of this microwave. I looked at another LG model, however it did not look as nice as this one with my new LG stove. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because the rotating plate inside is very large (good thing) but it is not as stable as the one in my old microwave. It seems they could have designed it to be less wobbly. It works fine, but sometimes makes a little noise as it rotates. Other than that I am very pleased. And still looking for a stainless cleaner that doesn't leave it with a streaky look. The polish I use on my stainless refrigerator (Samsung) and dishwasher does not seem to work as well on the LG stainless. Although I must say the LG stainless does not show fingerprints much at all and I am very pleased with that! We paid to have the Home Depot folks install and they did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend.

This is my first LG product and very pleased with the level of quality for the price. The microwave is ultra quiet and has many great functions that are very useful for a family on the go.

This product is just what I hoped for. It is great looking. Runs very quietly. It has lots of great features but is easy to understand. I had it installed by the delivery men who were extremely polite and efficient.

My sister had the LG overthe range for 5 years & still runs but probably only used a couple times per month. I use mine almost daily & it broke down completely after 2 years. Will chose another brand next

This microwave works great, easy to use and looks good. The exhaust system works very good and the lighting is nice and bright. And A plus from me for this product.

I bought this one based on reviews and the picture on the Home Depot website. But the microwave I got was not the one pictured. the 1831 ST model does not have the kids menu; its a very basic menu. I've not figured out if it has a timer yet and more importantly if what I paid was for the microwave pictured or the one I actually got.

only had the microwave for a week, actually the replacement came today, as the first one installed had a dent across the front , a new one was immed. put in to be delivered and received today, that part was fine.....the issue is the panel is different than shown in the picture for model number LMV1831ST...I do not have the kids menu line with mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and hot dog, or a turbo button, I tried looking at other LG microwaves thinking it was a different model number but I cant find any LG's that have this panel...im confused as to what I received....it says inside 1831 !

Died two times in under three years. Not up to LG quality standards.

After I had this microwave oven for 6 months, the turntable started to squeak so much that I have to turn it off every time.

Bought at Home Depot in April 2013. It's May 2014. This morning it made a funny noise and quit cooking, one month past the 1 year warranty.

We're still getting familiar with the unit. Lots of great features. Touchpad doesn't need a manual to be able to operate!

I purchased this to replace the original model in my condo and am thrilled with all of it's feature, particularly the sensor cooking- baked potatoes, popcorn, frozen veggies all are perfectly cooked. The only thing I have an issue with is trying to figure out how to reheat coffee. Otherwise, this is a lot of machine for a very low cost.. This is my second LG appliance but it will not be my last.

This microwave was slightly loud, but worked until just 6 WEEKS after purchase from Home Depot (they delivered and installed it), when it suddenly made a loud rumbling noise and did not heat any more. I called LG directly and they sent a technician out but he did not call the correct phone number provided when he arrived and thus thought no one was home. He blamed it on the company...the company blamed it on him. So I arranged a 2nd day to be at home...the technician could not make it in the time promised, said he was too busy...so another entire day of mine wasted. I called LG about this and was notified by LG that the tech did not have to come in the time promised...it was an "approximation" only and that they had other customers as well?!! I thus arranged a 3rd day to be at home...the tech finally came and said he forgot a part that he needed to fix it. I thus had to schedule a 4th day to be at home. The tech was suppose to arrive between 8am and noon and he arrived at 5pm. He replaced my transformer, my magnetron, and then had to fix the rotating circular plate that no longer turned when he had repaired the other 2 items. I asked him if it was common for all these parts to be defective, especially in the same microwave, and he said it was very rare. My microwave was louder than it was before. It otherwise seemed to work OK for about a month, but now, over the past 1-2 weeks, seems to steam up inside when I cook things requiring me to open the door and let all the steam escape...as if there is a vent problem inside...but at least it heats the food. I am hesitant to call LG again. I have already had to waste 4 entire days of my time over the period of 2-3 weeks and was without a microwave for an entire month because of this fiasco. Please review this carefully when considering whether to buy LG, especially this particular microwave. I think the above events speak for themselves about LG's commitment to it's customers and it's customer service.

This is a very nice microwave oven. Easy to use and looks very nice over the stove. The lights are bright enough to see the top of the stove and the exhaust fan works very well without being to noisy.

Product was a replacement but had to wait for it as it was backordered. Then I noticed it wasn't cooking as fast as the previous one so I had a service call who said a couple of couplings were not correctly put together. He fixed it and it is now working.

Excellent product with many great features. Look very good and is easy to use.
